Good food! Service was great. He (I think the owner) was kind and busy. The catfish was so good! Batter was a little thicker than normal but it is cornmeal. Remoulade was good, didn't even miss the tartar. Breading was too thick on the fryer okra imo but I enjoyed a few pieces. Very large serving! Red beans and rice was excellent! I'd go back just for that! Jambalaya was good although it is a bit dry. It's nice to have real catfish and southern adjacent food nearby.

My family is from New Orleans and I think this place is spot on in terms of flavor and authenticity! Both the catfish and chicken po'boys came out fresh and were sooo good. Catfish had nice breading and was super juicy! My girlfriend appreciated that the chicken wasn't super thick and came out piping hot/fresh! Definitely made to order. The veggies tasted fresh as well. Po' boys were 10/10 definitely cant go wrong. Garlic fries tasted just like a seafood boil, definitely not your typical garlic fries. Beignets were delicious, came out fresh from the fryer and the owner was kind enough to wait until we were done with lunch before setting them out. It's the small considerations in service that really stand out! Not too sweet and a perfect way to end the meal! The biggest standout was the customer service. The owner (I'm assuming) was super attentive, friendly, and very considerate. He still managed to check in on us despite being busy with phone calls and cooking. A great experience and a wonderful gem!

I love New Orleans. Mainly because of the food. It's very rare that I find southern food that can come close to actual NOLA fare. I was so pleasantly surprised that in Gilroy of all places held this hidden gem. I was hungover from a wedding the night before and I was ready to drive home and this place popped up on Yelp. I decided to cure my hangover with some comfort food. Boyyyy was I comfortable. When I arrived the place was pretty empty. There was no inside. But it was early on a Sunday so no biggy. As soon as I took a look at the menu I ordered the catfish, a shrimp po boy, the jambalaya and a couple of drinks. Everything was fantastic. The flavors were there. The texture of the food was profound and the smells brought me back to the streets of NOLA. However service was a little off. After we ordered another couple came in and ordered after us. They brought out my catfish and for some reason they gave the other couple my sandwich. Then tried to give my jambalaya to another person. Not sure what was going on with the person taking orders that day but I didn't really mind. The food made up for it.

I liked the food here- I ordered a fried catfish sandwich which was a good portion for the price. The catfish was nicely fried, crispy and not greasy. The bread was very fluffy and fresh. Overall really good sandwich, but I wish they offered tartar sauce on the side because it started to feel kind of dry after a while. I also ordered an oatmilk ube latte for about $10 which felt overpriced for the drink size. I could have gotten a boba across the street for half the price. However, the drink did taste good. Next time I will be skipping a drink and just getting the food.

So... I'm having such a difficult time reviewing this place! I was so super excited to come here... I am from Mississippi before living in Memphis, TN and have lived in Louisiana several years. Nearly all of my family are from that area. Not only did I grow up on Cajun and Creole food ... my grandfather owned and operated a few successful catfish restaurants prior to his retirement. I had fried catfish and seafood (often freshly caught) constantly. I had my first fresh raw oyster not soon after I could walk. There is no place around here to have true southern food... of any kind, unless I cook it. When I heard that NOLA was opening so close to my house I was super thrilled. I think my first mistake was going in expecting Authenticity. If you are wanting 'true' New Orleans fare ... this is not the place for you. The 'muffuletta' they make are tasty well made sandwiches .... But it wasn't a traditional muffuletta. The 'beignets' are soft fluffy doughnut like squares sparsely covered in powdered sugar and served with some kind of sauce... but they are NOT beignets. Slightly tasty ... sure. Beignets? NO! The 'Gumbo' was a sausage (not andouille) chicken filled soup with watery reddish Cajun seasoning filled broth m. Gumbo has a thick silky broth texture that ranges from a darker peanut-butter color to deep dark chocolate color, according to the type of gumbo you are making (Creole or Cajun) and how dark each cook wants to take their a roux. What they give you here is some sort of soup ... that is NOT Gumbo! I'm really not sure what it was. It wasn't terrible; it just wasn't Gumbo. The Fried catfish were perfectly cooked and not at all oily or greasy ... BUT they were NOT cornmeal dusted southern fried catfish (not at all the fried catfish you would find in New Orleans or anywhere in the south really). And there was no tartar sauce ... which personally I find a travesty when serving catfish! The Salad I ordered was great. fresh ingredients and the shrimp I added were perfectoy cooked and seasoned. I also liked the Miso dressing. Everything I e tried here so far is good, fresh, mostly well seasoned .... But NOLA it is not If it had any other name I'd say this place is great and unreservedly give it 4 stars or more. However, it is unabashedly advertising itself as NOLA food... and quite simply it is absolutely NOT that! Maybe it should be called 'NOLA inspired kitchen' or an approximation. The service was slow but super friendly and they make everything fresh so I feel it's worth the wait. Will I go back ... probably? But, I think it's important to know when going into NOLA that you will have mostly tasty fresh food but you WILL NOT have New Orleans food. I wish I had known this prior to going ... because it was a huge disappointment when I could not feed my homesickness :(.

Bringing NOLA To Gilroy! Can't wait to try the beignets!

Absolutely recommend! Enjoyed a delicious lunch today and am still so wonderfully full from the generous portions. The Mufaletta Panini is definitely shareable but I had to enjoy my own Grilles Shrimp Wrap--with all my favorites including olive salad, Swiss cheese AND hugs grilled shrimp. The garlic fries were outstanding! Service was excellent and very friendly, willing to explain to those unsure of the menu. Area was clean though seating area is limited with one outside table. It was a "date lunch" for us and we made an excellent choice! Don't miss out!

This place has been open for about 3 weeks. The place isn't too big however they do have seating indoor and a table outdoors as well. I've been in the Gilroy area for a few years and this is for first NOLA inspired establishment I've experienced. I have traveled to NOLA and nothing will ever compare to the real deal. I ordered the jambalaya with chicken and shrimp however was not flavorful and lacked spice, I wouldn't order again. The gumbo was also ordered with shrimp I personally liked this more and felt like it was more flavorful. The chocolate beignets were good. The fries and hot wings were good, but I feel like you can't really mess those up. You do have to order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. They were very friendly and helpful. Overall, I'm glad I tried the place however probably would only come back for the beignets.

DELICIOUS!! I did not expect to find an authentic New Orleans spot here in Gilroy. I forgot to include the sweet potato fries but everything was so delicious! The price was sooo reasonable! I would definitely come back. Hubby and kids approved as well!

A cute spot with the best food! Service was fast and friendly. The muffaletta was huge and delicious. Enough to share. The drinks were a surprise. Filipino fusion with New Orleans food is always welcome. Will come back for sure!

    Begnets, yum

Food and service are amazing. Gumbo, jambalaya and catfish with fries. All terrific. Tried the begnets too. Yummy!!!!

Prices are fair and food is good. Portions are ok, for the price . I wouldn't pay more . Nice to have the beignets fresh to order ! I have had Catfish and it was good, but not New Orleans style with the corn meal crust. I had the shrimp wrap, good for lunch. The Jambalaya was also good .

We've been to New Orleans and had the pleasure of trying some of the best southern cooking. NOLA brings New Orleans to Gilroy. We ordered two different po boys, fries, two types of beignets and the iced coffee and it was delicious! I can't wait to go back and try more!

Somewhat wrong decision and kind of regret not going further out. The boba didn't really had any taste to it, kinda of chewy but was a hard chewy idk, it didn't please me at all. Onto the drinks; Kids got the Oreo milkshakes which were good, they liked it. It wasn't pure Oreos, you can taste like a chocolate powder was added. Our friend got the mint chocolate chip milk shake and he said it was ok and that it somewhat tasted like Starbucks lol Myself got the Thai milk tea and I didn't like it at all. It was watery tasting, not milky at all. Asked for less ice but they gave me no ice. It's the worst Thai milk tea I've ever had. Hubby got a jasmine milk tea which didn't tasted like jasmine, more like a rose milk tea instead. He's an avid jasmine milk tea guy so he knows what he's tasting. And lastly, the parking lot seemed kind of ghetto with homeless guy sitting right in front near the store the time we went.

They have frozen yogurt, milk teas, ice cream, and seating inside and outside. I was here on a warm Tuesday afternoon around 5:30pm. I found Yogofino using the Yelp App as a search engine. The name caught my attention because it's very close to "Yogofina," a local fro-yo chain in the SF Eastbay. I don't think it's the same chain. Yogofino Yogurt has alot to offer, including a fair price for fro-yo! August 2025- Price Per Ounce: 79 cents. I've been to several Yogurtlands recently, and their prices are all in the 85-89 cent/oz range. Easy Breezy Yogurt is $1+/ oz now. So what about the frozen yogurt here? Well, they have seven (7) Electro Freeze machines that have no center twist (or swirl) valve. The area around the machines was very clean. The young lady working there was busy cleaning the whole time I was there. I tried: Mango, Pineapple, and Chocolate with some jelly toppings. They have large selection of wet, dry, and liquid toppings. Service was nice and friendly. The pineapple fro-yo had a good flavor. Not much icy bite, or chalkiness. The mango had a milk flavor. I especially liked the chocolate. It was super creamy, almost like a mild soft serve. No chalky after taste or icy bite. It was 85*F, so my fro-yo didn't stay frozen very long. But it did have a very refreshing chill. I would return if I'm in the area again. Free parking in shopping center lot. Near the Cardenas Market and Mountain Mikes Pizza.

The cake ended up being a classic vanilla cake layered with fresh strawberry cream, fresh strawberries, and a touch of strawberry coulis. The cake pops were triple chocolate flavor made with Belgian truffle chocolate--and strawberries, and last but not least the mini cupcakes were strawberry with lemon buttercream.
