I hired them to transport my brand new 5 series. Here is what they promised: - The car will be shipped and they will not have more than 1 hop. - They carry $100K insurance for the car and if anything goes wrong, they will take care of it. The car was delivered late and the driver refused to deliver the car at home even though it is easily accessible by big trucks. Instead, he insisted on delivering the car on highway ramp. Due to dirt and gravel, it was not possible to thoroughly check the car. I brought the car home and inspected it thoroughly. I found some damage on the car. Within an hour of delivery I send them photos of the damage and asked them to take care of it through their insurance. Their immediate line was this kind of damage can't be caused during transport. They arranged for the car to be checked by a body shop. Body shop person indicated that this type of damage is possibly caused by chains/jack. They tried to find other reasons for denying the claim. I also noticed that there there were lot of vibration in the steering wheel and car was pulling to the right. I took it to the BMW dealer and they confirmed that two right side rims were slightly bent. The total cost of repairs came over $1500 - about $750 for body repair and about $750 for resurfacing rim/wheel alignment. I also found out they use a third party company to transport the car. The driver who picked up the car from home was transporting first to Los Angeles hub. Another driver called me from New Mexico that he just got delivery of the car and gave me approximate time frame for the delivery. This makes it minimum two hops. Probably there were more hops. In my insistence to show the proof of insurance, they produced a insurance certificate of the third party that transported the car. It seems that they don't actually carry any insurance themselves. The insurance for the load (cars) was limited to $250K. The truck carries minimum 10 cars. This makes it only $25K per car. My car was brand new and it was worth $65K and obviously it was insured for much lower than the actual value. In case of damage, you are at the mercy of this party party to accept or deny the claim. Since, they have refused to honor the damage, I have no other option accept to file the lawsuit in small claims court. I know it is lot of effort for just $1,500 but I have to do it as a matter of principal. I will keep you updated as to how this goes. read more

At first when I saw so many 5 stars, I thought this was too good to be true. After transporting my car cross country, I see why they deserve the 5 stars. Mike was super quick, co-ordinated and professional from my first phone conversation to the last. They accommodated my specific date pick up request by arranging a local towing company to pick it up. The towing company arrived at the time they said they would. They did a detailed inspection of my car's body and then towed it. Fast forward 4 days, and my car was delivered to me at the exact spot I asked for with zero stress for me at any stage. Eugene, the truck driver messaged me upto 24 hours before delivery updating me about his ETA. Marge, the customer service manager was super helpful with any information whenever I called in. In short, every individual I came in contact with at this company behaved with the single purpose of transporting my car safely and quickly. I hope you have the same experience with them that I did. I was actually laughed at over the phone when I asked to check the status of my car. Matt in particular is an incredibly huge jerk who was not accommodating at all. I would never recommend this to even my worst enemy. You can feel the pure evil in their tone. I'm a 20 year old girl and they had the audacity to treat me like crap and try to take advantage of me. Update to my review. Continuous follow up with the Better Business Bureau resulted in a settlement for about 50% of the damages caused by this company. All American was beligerent in their direct dealings with me even though they could not refute the email documentation I had explicitly showing that they were at fault, were aware I was dealing with their paid agent based on the agent's claim to be working at their direction, and All American agreed IN WRITING to reimburse me for damages they caused if the agent refused to pay. I settled for less than the actual repair cost just to put an end to the time I was spending trying to get them to act in a reputable manner. My word to those suffering similar negative experiences with them...follow up with the Better Business, be persistent so they know you will not give up...and after a while, you will get some sort of satisfatction. But, I'm not wasting my time responding, point-by-point. All I can say is when you read both sides, consider that I am just a customer who wanted the service that I was promised. I had a very good experience moving my car with them from Seattle to Bay Area. They communicated well and gave me a pickup window of 2 days. The driver called me 2 days before the pickup date and confirmed the time slot in which he would pickup. He came right on time, we went through a detailed inspection and that's it. The delivery was super fast, my car reached bay area safely (no damages) the very next day, much before I reached there. They have a provision of holding the car at Burlingame office, that was very useful since I could work on my schedule to pickup the car. We used All American Trucking & Transport to transport our small car and motorcycle from Berkeley, CA to Memphis, TN. The good: Compared to other companies the prices were very reasonable and they offered us the ability to drop our car off at their facility the day we left town, which was a huge bonus for us. Most other car transport companies could only guarantee pickup within a 3-day window or were going to charge us $200 for a single-day window. Furthermore, both our vehicles made it to Memphis without any significant damage and arrived ahead of schedule. The bad: Our car was delivered one day prior to our earliest scheduled delivery date, which was not a big deal except it meant that we were scrambling to get from Chicago to Memphis in a UHaul in order to meet our driver on time. We agreed on meeting at a gas station about 30 minutes from our home. I should have been more insistent about them making good on their "door-to-door" or at least "door-to closer to my door than a gas station in Arkansas" promise, but I wasn't, and I regret it. When we met the truck carrying my car it was obvious that my car had a flat tire. It is entirely possible, likely even, that razor blade that punctured my car's tire became embedded in it before we gave my car to All American. However, I did not appreciate being stranded in a gas station in the middle of nowhere with a flat tire, and if All American had made good on their claims to deliver my car as close as reasonably possible to my house, I would not have been. read more

My car was wrecked!! All American Trucking & Transport shipped my 2001 Volvo from New York City to Oregon last summer. The car, although old, had less than 50,000 miles on it and was in good condition when they picked it up. When they delivered the car, the car blew a gasket after I had driven it less than 2 miles. The mechanic found that the coolant hoses underneath the car had been completely severed, and he said that he had never seen hoses break naturally like that from ordinary wear and tear. The mechanic's conclusion was that the hoses had been broken when going on or off one of the car transport trucks. The cost of the repairs would have well exceeded the value of the car. All American Trucking & Transport refused to take any responsibility for the damage, and their insurance company (Progressive) refused to pay our insurance company even after seeing the physical evidence from our mechanic. Needless to say, we will never use All American Trucking & Transport again. (The same car had been shipped cross country 6 years prior by a different company without incident). Additionally, when we first contacted All American Trucking & Transport's insurance company, the agent mentioned an investigation about a lapse in coverage that he was not at liberty to discuss. If you have a car with low clearance, I recommend you use a different car transport company. If you do decide to go with this company, I encourage you to verify their insurance coverage. read more

I should have completed this months ago, but was sidetracked by other priorities. I had a nearly-new 340i wagon shipped from BMW of Alexandria (also a 5-star experience working with Hugo there) in Virginia to my home in the Bay Area. I should point out that I was under no timeline for pickup or drop off - totally flexible. Victor was exceptionally responsive, as were the others that I worked with to complete the transaction. The car was delivered (surprisingly) clean, without damage, and complete - curb-side in front of my house and early before work. Total cost was well within reason, and was on the lower side of a half-dozen estimates that I'd collected. I chose All American for the predominantly positive Yelp reviews, and because they are listed as a local company, cost was secondary and only a factor if far out of bounds based on all estimates collected. In all, working with Victor to broker this cross-country shipping deal was a positive experience that exceeded my expectations. read more

Overall we had a good experience with All American Transport, however the timing in which one of our cars was supposed to be picked up was way off (later) than estimated. Then, at the last minute, the driver informed us that he could not pick up our car. A local car transport company in Maine suggested I contact All American since they didn't handle cross-country trips themselves. So glad I got this recommendation! Most companies were relentless with their emails and phone calls as soon as they got a hold of my info. Sleezy sales calls like no other. The folks I talked to at All American were super friendly, weren't pushy, and actually let me decide what to do. They were a tad bit more expensive ($100-200), but worth it given the reviews and BBB rating. Speedy is the best way to recommend my experience! Called them on a Tuesday to set up the pick-up, trailer arrive on Thursday morning to pick the car up in Portland, Maine, and car was delivered in Sun Valley, CA on Tuesday! It took them about 5.5 days to get the car cross-country!!! Both drivers were nice and customer service was quick to answer my email when I inquired where the car was and when I might expect the car to be delivered. If I have to ship a car again (hoping I don't have to), I know who to call! read more

Moving is very stressful and nothing ever goes as planned. That said, I am pleased with the transport of my car. Yes, it was subcontracted out. The driver arrived to pick up my car a day early which was a surprise and somewhat inconvenient but we made it work. I mean, come on, the guy is transporting my car from Marin County, CA to Pittsburgh, PA and he had about 15 other cars on his truck. He had a schedule to keep too. We didn't expect that he'd be able to pick up the car in our complex or on the other side of the move and we were fully prepared to have to meet him for drop off and pick up. I have no complaints about transport time as the car arrived in 3 DAYS! I swear they must have driven straight across without stopping! The driver kept in touch with several phone calls. I was a little annoyed that the car was being dropped off in a "not so nice area", but it wasn't far from our new location and I understand that the tractor trailer had its limitations as well. The car arrived in the same condition as it left....just a little dirtier. All in all it was a positive experience and I'd recommend them and use them again. Just be aware that you can't expect an 18-wheeler to navigate in residential areas, so don't expect door to door service. read more

I got a job in D.C. that required use of my car and a very quick move across the country. I flew out to D.C. and left my car behind to be shipped from my home in CA. My dad actually found All American Trucking and Transport and compared them to a few other companies. While All American wasn't necessarily the cheapest, he felt most comfortable leaving my little Elantra in their hands. I had extreme anxiety about the whole car drop-off situation once my car arrived to D.C. Because of security and weight restrictions in the city I was looking to arrange to meet the driver at a metro station in Virginia or Maryland and then drive it into D.C. from there. If anyone has ever been in a car in D.C. you will understand my anxiety: drivers here are scary and lanes are merely a suggestion. About a week before the car got here Marge from All American called me to let me know the original metro stop I had picked to meet the driver wouldn't work, so she would be willing to split the cost of a tow to get the car directly to my house. She knew how much trepidation I had about the drop-off and went above and beyond to make it easier on me. To add insult to injury (literally) I hurt my knee 3 days before my car arrived and had no idea how I was going to even drive it into my garage. The tow truck driver met me a block over, took one look at me limping towards him, and offered to drive the car into my garage for me. He let me take as long as I needed to inspect the car and was generally extremely pleasant and helpful. I can't say enough about this company. They turned what was my biggest fear about this huge move into a total piece of cake. I even got some more of my clothes and other goodies from home in the trunk so I don't have to ship everything out box by box. We arranged to ship a car from California to Texas. They gave a pretty competitive rate, and much better than our movers offered (in fact, our movers referred us to them). We were told to expect to wait up to two weeks or so for the car to reach our destination, which was fine. They came and got the car on a Friday (we were told to expect a pickup any time from Wed. to Friday, so the pickup was within the expected time frame). The car arrived in Central Texas that Sunday, so about 2.5 days total. We were shocked at how fast the car arrived. In fact, the car beat us to our destination! We actually had a little difficulty with the pickup because we weren't expecting such a quick turnaround, but it ended up fine. The car was covered with dust after the trip, so I guess don't expect it to arrive freshly washed. Overall, very happy with the shipping, though maybe a little more communication about when to expect the car's arrival would be helpful. read more

All American Transport came to our rescue and transported our Lexus and GMC Sierra pickup from California to Maryland quickly, safely and on time. Ashton Silverman and his team were top notch. We called AAT&T in April and got a quote. I also got quotes from competitors. Ashton's was higher so I turned him down, but he warned me about other transporters' tricks. Ready Logistics, a Cox Automotive Co, that was recommended by my dealer, got the job. They insisted on payment up front, and then strung me along, saying they couldn't find a driver, until June 4 (a week after we left CA) when I told them to return my money. They did. I quickly called Ashton, apologized for not believing him the first time and he immediately took the order. The next day they called to say the driver would pick up the vehicles the following day and deliver them to us in Maryland in three days!!! All went exactly as promised, The vehicles arrived on time and safely. I wish I had listened to Ashton the first time. It would have saved me hours of aggravation and worry. My advice: AAT&T knows it's business and is great to deal with. read more

So glad I went with them. We moved from the Bay Area to Austin and wanted to ship our two cars. Our friends who had moved to Austin the previous year has used them and highly recommended them. From the very start they were very friendly, helpful and professional. I initially wanted to have them pick up one car and drop one car off the day before we flew out because you needed to give a 3 day pick up window and I couldn't afford to be out of a car because we have kids that need car seats. But Ashton had said that if they picked up my car in the third day that he could see if they could just pick up my second car as well so I wouldn't need to drive the car to Burlingame. And true to his word, our car was being picked up on the 3rd day and they picked up our second car also! Saved us a long drive up! Our car was picked up with no issues on Friday and we had our cars on Sunday! Now that is awesome! I had called around when looking at places and not many people were responsive and didn't seem to care about customer service. Don't waste your time, just go with All American. We just moved our car from Hillsboro Oregon to Tempe Arizona. We worked with Ashton and he made everything simple and easy. The move went very well. Car was picked up on Saturday (paid a bit extra for guaranteed pick up) from Hillsboro and delivered on Tuesday in Tempe Arizona. Having moved the car from NYC to Hillsboro with another service, that proved to be a disaster, I was nervous about this move. We needed to move a small sedan from Indianapolis, Indiana to Portland, OR. We would not be in town when it was picked up, so we needed the move to go smoothly. And with one small bump (they called our contact at 4:45 AM to say they were ready for the pick-up), the transport went well. They quoted 7-10 days and they delivered the car in seven days, clean and with no new dents. The contracted amount was perhaps a couple of hundred dollars more than some of the other quotes I received via the internet, but it was a good deal compared to driving it myself. They handled a rescheduled pickup date without a problem. I would not hesitate to use them again. read more
