My move is a bit complicated due to a lot of uncertainties in my schedule, my move-in place and payment methods. Mark is always there to help and accommodate my various requests. They even allow us to put stuff in trunk which helps us a lot! The only hiccup is when the driver was to pick up our car, the driver seemed to not knowing about the trunk luggage policy. My first time using long distance movers within a 3-day period, so I was concerned. However, I would rate the Customer Service a 10! Both Drivers who transported my Jaguar did great! They coordinated with my requested timeframe request for the car pick up from my daughter's house, as she has other obligations in the day. I'm super super happy with moving our car with Trico from Bay Area California to Dallas Texas, especially after spending a lot of time trying to find a reliable mover. Trico was very professional. I called them about 2 weeks before the move, and they gave me a very reasonable quote, which was cheaper than my other options. They provided me an estimated date with 2 day window for pickup. Later they narrowed down the date. The driver gave me a head up the night before, and arrived on time on the scheduled day. He quickly examined the car and loaded it to his truck. It only took 3 days for the car to arrive. We are very satisfied with the service. They are movers themselves, instead of a broker. I contacted a few brokers before, and they could not give me a relable date to pick up my car. I was a little worried they would not pick up before my flight. Trico instead knows the concern of the customers. They provided updates every step of the process to assure. They did not ask me to post a good review here for them . We recently used Trico to ship our car from the Bay Area to the east coast as my family and I were relocating. The driver was communicative and always reachable. Even though he was unable to come during our scheduled date range, Trico was good about accommodating the next best date from our standpoint. The dispatchers always kept us in the loop as to how the move was going. I was a huge fan of the text message updates as they are fast and convenient. Since the driver was unable to enter the city of DC for delivery (due to city laws), I appreciated Trico being able to change the delivery location to something that worked well for me and that the driver could access easily. I'd planned a cross-country move late last month and after researching a number of moving companies, I decided to go with Trico. I'd lived in California my entire life and I was anxious about having all of my belongings safely transported to another state, but after my first call with them, I felt assured that things would go smoothly. The salesperson was an excellent communicator and we had a thorough intake with a detailed inventory process to ensure accurate pricing. The total cost was significantly less than I'd anticipated and the contract was transparent with everything laid out on paper. I'd opted for the complete packing service and when the movers arrived, they worked incredibly quickly and efficiently, carefully wrapping and padding each item. They'd even made a custom wooden crate for our marble table top. Everything was individually labeled and accounted for, which again reassured me that we'd receive all of our belongings. When we were ready to receive our items, the movers arrived within the expected timeframe. This team was also quick, efficient, and thorough. As our items were brought into our new home, everything was checkmarked to ensure that nothing was missing. As we'd hoped, we received everything and in good condition. So I used Trico Long Distance Movers after being turned down by several other moving companies. They were very efficient and eager to help, which was a relief after hearing "We can't help you" so many times that day. I was moving from the LA area to the east coast, and these guys did a pretty efficient job on getting both my personal belongings and cars across the country undamaged and within a reasonable time. The movers themselves were prompt and polite when they came to get my things. The more delicate items were given extra padding and handled with great care, which I appreciated. The only negative was that I was apparently supposed to get a call the day before both my cars and personal belongings arrived, but I didn't get a call for either. That would've been very helpful. I actually wasn't at my new home at the east coast just yet--I had to stop somewhere for work along the way--so my stuff was being delivered to my aunt's house in the meantime, as she lives nearby. I was alerted with only about a fifteen-minute warning that my things were almost at my requested destination. Thankfully , my aunt happened to be home to receive my items, but if she had decided to go out and run some errands at that time instead, then that would've been kind of a pain to deal with. All in all, a pretty good experience. My stuff arrived intact, which is the most important thing. I would use this company again :) read more

My cousin was moving back home from school and had called us and asked if we could help her out in anyway. I had come across Trico online and remembered their catchy name which helped me find them and give them a call. They answered very courteously and answered all of our questions. I gave them my cousins contact information and they sent her someone to estimate her move. We went to help her pack her stuff prior to the movers showing up, her roommates were still living in the apartments over summer break so people were still around during the move. This did not bother the movers at all as they were respectful of their home and did their best to navigate around without making a mess. These gentlemen were a very reliable and hard working group of movers, they managed to tackle the entire move down within forty eight hours and just about all of her stuff is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning. I had my car shipped from San Jose, CA to Dallas, TX right before Thanksgiving. I thought the holiday would delay my car's shipment, but Trico surprised me and got it delivered really fast. It only took 2 days, and my car was in the same condition that I left it. My car actually got to Texas before I did lol. Recently we completed our second cross country move with Trico. Our first from the Bay Area to Philly in 2015 and back again, February 2018. For reference, we moved a 2 bed house(with a lot of furniture/belongings) and garage both times. Anyone moving where their goods aren't loaded and unloaded in the same day, by the same crew should know the horror stories and anecdotes of shifty characters, jacked prices and poor service. You plan, you fret and finally you take a chance with your moving company the first time. Hence the reason to go with Trico the second time...that and Patrick. For the first move, Patrick was the most reassuring salesperson I spoke with, who has a great way of setting you at ease, very comfortable and transparent and available. The crew that packed us was great, the two man crew who unpacked us...even better. This time round back from Philly, I did get some comp quotes, but again - nobody could compete with the great service from Patrick and knowing too "how this works", we definitely left the packers to pack (other than some items ourselves) - stood back, and answered questions. The team in Philly was really outstanding - Matty and Diego - genuinely cared and were present as the move foremen, I think at one point we had 6 or 7 guys in the house. With the awe of locusts, but none of the destruction...everything moved here in one piece, a mirror was cracked, but given the amount of stuff we had and the insurance we took out(highly recommend the piece of mind additional insurance provides) it was not a problem, and handled gracefully by the wonderful Amanda. We are fully unpacked now, and I cannot say how happy I am that we went back with Patrick and Trico - Patrick is awesome, in case you haven't gotten that from my review already, absolute stellar gent - from start to finish, present and available. If you want a pro move, peace of mind, and available folks...look no further. Hoping we are done moving now, but if we aren't, Patrick will be getting my call. Trico contacted me over a year after my move and offered me $200 as compensation for what I experienced in 2017. It's something, but it's a bit late and I still have an $800 piece of furniture that was damaged. They seem to at least respond now, the compensation for damages still seems to be lacking, but improved from the complete lack of response I received a year and a half ago (apparently they are under new management). read more

Super Awesome!! We moved from Boston to Emeryville/Berkeley, CA and had Trico pack all of our furniture. We packed the boxes ourselves.We had them keep our stuff in their storage for 2 months before it was delivered in CA. I put in my quote request on Movers Alliance and 1 of the 3 company's that provided me with a quote was Trico and they were extremely helpful and not pushy since the first phone call and were available at all times through Phone and email,(Specifically Jake Jeckel). Though they offered the most expensive quote (a $300-$400 difference compared to the quotes from other companies that quoted based on either wight or square footage) they also considered negotiations and we are happy with what we paid. We did not have to pay anything extra to the company for the distance form the door to the truck and so on. The guys (3 of them) who came in to pick up (in Boston) were beyond exceptional, extremely helpful , very quick and did a great job packing all the furniture. They were very considerate about all the delicate/ fragile boxes. Ours is a 2 bed 2 bath and I have a looooot of stuff(32 Large boxes from home depot, 2 beds, huge sofa sets, dining table and some extra cabinets.All of it with furniture packing was loaded within 3 hours and hassle free. The guys who came to drop off were good too, they dropped off everything in 2 hours and were very considerate since I do not like people walking in on my carpet with dirty shoes, 2 of the guys agreed to take of their shoes to enter the apartment and had unloaded the furniture. Overall a NO HASSLE & an Extremely Comfortable move. The truck drivers communicated well on the pick up and drop off times and days. No Broken/Lost furniture or items. One of the best experiences I've had. It started out a bit weary as I was quoted a lower price for an open auto transfer. My service person called back and said my car could not be driven in a open transfer and would need a closed auto transfer, I have a 1971 Austin Mini. The cost increased by almost $300. I was a bit pissed with the price increase BUT needed to get it done, they offered a small discount. I booked the transfer and waited for a confirmation. They confirmed within an hour and the driver called me from Sacramento and gave me a ETA around 4pm (the SAME day). The driver was professional, super nice, on time and great with communication. The car was delivered from SF to San Diego within 24 hours! Great service and team, will definitely use again. read more

I would give this company ZERO stars - the ONLY reason I gave it 1 star was due to the ease of the kid who moved my car across country. We hired this company to move our 3+ bedroom house from the Bay Area to the Boston area in December. When the guy first arrived to assess our house and the cost, he was nice and professional seeming. The day of moving, they had five guys to pack and move our house. They managed to finish by dinner. As they were finishing up, I inspected the house and found some items not in boxes. I requested they be put in boxes before they leave. I went down the hill to finish dinner and put my kids to bed. When I came back up to the house, not only did they leave ALL the doors, windows and lights on but they did not pack the items I asked to be packed before they finished. They actually "decorated" the empty house with the remaining items. My car was picked up and delivered in Boston in one piece and the kid who drove the truck was professional and communicative. The truck with the furniture arrived two weeks after they promised... and when it arrived, they came with three guys to unload an entire truck, while the truck driver slept in the moving truck. After all was said and done and I eventually unpacked the load - three weeks later, I discovered they lost a box or two. Now, mind you, I did get the additional insurance but it did not cover loss. There were items damaged in the move - naturally and the additional insurance covered it. When it came to the missing boxes, TRICO agreed to pay me $250.00 for the lost mid-century lamp, vintage record player, VCR player and drone camera. It is now July and I still have not received the "check".... I dealt with Nikki, who was completely stale and had no concern whatsoever about the items lost and damaged. He said he was "doing us a favor" by giving us the $250.00, which won't even cover a 1/4 of the lost items. I have had to call each week to remind them I have not gotten the check and before that, asking if they found my lost items. This company is the WORST and I would NEVER recommend them. A bit delayed on writing this review but these guys were great! they were efficient, friendly and fast! from the beginning to end I had a very pleasant experience. One of the movers contacted me letting me know before they came, and they showed up right on time which I thought was very professional. I cannot believe how quickly they cleared everything out, which had me thinking if they just dump everything into the boxes but I was wrong. After we closed our family restaurant we sold all furniture and equipment. There was a huge fridge and we decided to organize its delivery to the buyer ourselves. It was oversized and we thought it would be hard to find a professional cross country mover to deliver it safely. Luckily one of our ex clients and our good friend advised to hire "Trico long  distance movers". He said they had professional packing service and customer support so we immediately called them to organize shipping.
