I contacted Vantage Point based on their reviews, to import a small shipment from China. Although initial communications went well, they offered an inaccurate quote, then never corrected it. Their Chinese affiliate told me they had sent a corrected quote back to Vantage Point, but Vantage point just sent partial information and then left everyone hanging, forcing me to scramble for another provider. Monique used a thousand words when fifteen would have been better, and then there was no follow-up. Maybe tariff chaos threw everything off. Some other providers seemed chaotic, too. But communications were so poor with Vantage Point that I will look elsewhere for a reliable business partner. read more

Tao at Vantage helped me clear an unusual and difficult shipment. I am an archaeologist working in the Sudan. I imported excavated soil samples under a permit issued to a lab in Washington state, to which they were to be sent directly. The samples were mis-sent from Khartoum and ended up stuck at SFO. Figuring out what needed to be done to clear them and what could legally be done given the limits of the permit was not made easier by the fact that I am on the east coast. I found Vantage through Yelp. It still took some time to learn what to do and do it, but Tao was always responsive, polite, and helpful.
