I also documented what needed to be moved on the email for the estimate. When the movers got to the house they did not take all of my belongs. I set up the delivery, I communicated what needed to be moved, I paid the deposit - So when someone tells you something we didn't discuss, why wouldn't you at the very least call to confirm details? I paid 316.00 for 3 men and a truck to move 1 bed set from point A to point B, which was discounted due to the "mixup". I didn't know of the mix up until the movers called me to tell me that they didn't get all of my things and requesting payment. -- In my mind I've been totally ripped off and am very disappointed in this service - I asked for them to at least go back and get the other items for free, since they left it. Since I made my original review, we had them move us again, and they moved my parents, my best friend, and have done some small moving for my IL in their home. No one has had any issue, they show up when they say they're going to, communicate well, can handle small to big jobs, and they work hard and do a great job. I didn't really bother with anyone else in terms of quotes, but based on what we were charged a number of years ago, pricing remains reasonable. Thank you guys!

In the end, it was Square Cow's overly confident answering service that convinced me to go with them. Big mistake. I hired them to move a large bedroom set from a second-floor bedroom to the garage--something I clearly communicated was not a simple task. I had over four phone calls, sent multiple photos, and explicitly discussed the risks and challenges involved. Each time, I was told everything was "in the notes" and the movers would be properly equipped with straps and the right tools. I even spoke directly with the operations manager the day before the move. He reassured me--again--that his crew would be fully prepared. He even advised me not to purchase additional insurance, claiming it was an easy job and not worth the extra cost. Then moving day arrived. The crew showed up completely unprepared. No straps. No proper equipment. Within minutes, they dropped the first piece of furniture, severely damaging it. The rest of the move was borderline reckless. The crew themselves admitted that Square Cow doesn't provide them with tools or care about their safety--or the customers' belongings. According to them, "Square Cow only cares about making money." After my experience, I believe it. I filed a damage claim, and now I'm stuck in their slow, unresponsive process that may take up to 90 days to maybe--maybe--get a fraction of what the damage is worth. Bottom line: they talk a good game on the phone, but they have zero follow-through. The left hand has no clue what the right is doing, and they clearly don't equip their crews to do the job safely or professionally. Their so-called claims department is a joke. Don't fall for the sales pitch. There are better, more honest companies out there. Square Cow Movers is not one of them.

I don't recommend this place. The movers broke my tv that I just purchased in July. Keep in mind…read morethis was after they arrived 6 hours late, my appointment was supposed to be at 1pm they didn't arrive till 7:05pm. Found out today that they'll only pay .60 cents per pound on my tv which is ridiculous! I'm honestly thinking of doing a charge back on my credit card for this crap. Attached is the damage to the tv and the receipt for that tv that they believe is only worth .60 cents per pound. Oh and I've tried to get ahold of them through their phone but somehow I immediately get disconnected... Shady business practices...
