Used them for my move recently. Originally a 4 man team, but they dropped the 4th person halfway through the job. Funny enough, once they dropped the 4th they actually moved faster. They did make a little hole in my wall at my old house when transitioning to the new house. They were excellent moving to the new house. Zero effort! I used Optimus Moving Services to move my stuff. After reaching out, they were really quick to respond. After determining what, where, and when -- they showed up on time. I was quoted a fair rate. Based on the size of my move, I had done some research to gauge what was a fair price once all was said and done. Optimus billed a flat rate by the hour for 3 men and a truck. When all was said and done and they were ready for payment, I paid significantly less than I expected to pay - at the same time - I had excellent service and they treated my property as if they were taking care of their own. For your own good DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If you must, use their packers only, I had no issues whatsoever with the women who came to pack up my place. DO NOT USE THEIR MOVERS AT ALL! They're rude, they would not listen to my directives on where to put the labelled boxes and would not place the boxes in the rooms that they should go. I told them they were putting things in the wrong place and they decided to stop taking things into the house altogether, and started dumping them in the yard and in my garage. I said the contract with them wasn't to dump my stuff in the yard so I wasn't going to pay, they threatened to call the cops on me. A house that took 3 women 8.5 hours to completely and meticulously pack, is having a move time being run up to nearly 12hours to pack and unpack and they haven't even unpacked half the truck. They arrived at 8:15am, see attached pic of their truck at 5:45pm. When they arrived they looked at everything and said they would be done with everything - loading, moving at unloading at 2pm, but I guess they figured I'm alone so I can be bullied and extorted. They counted on their office being closed and my not being able to report them to anyone and decided to flex their muscles on me. Little did they know that I had the number of their supervisor, Juan, who stopped by with the packers yesterday. As soon as he got on the phone with them, they started moving things back into the house. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You'll be spending $159/hour + $80 flat fee to get insulted, bullied, threatened and exploited! Movers Houston does a much better job, keep to time and have courteous staff. I've used them for 2 previous moves, but they were just fully booked this month, so I made this mistake with Optimus. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I hate to write a negative review, but what would be worse is if another patron finds themselves in my position. I hired Optimus Moving Services to assist with packing for an upcoming move. After my telephone call with Trey, I was clear on their pricing and felt the rates were reasonable and competitive. I received a previous quote from All My Sons, but after reading the raving 5-star Yelp reviews, I decided to move forward with this company. I provided my boxes (some already assembled - 20 Med., 14 Lg., 1 Dish Box), several rolls of NEW packing tape with two dispensers, and packing paper (over 320 sheets) in an effort to cut down on extra supply costs. Knowing how stressful moving can be, I hired this company 10 days before our move date. I specifically asked that they not close boxes up with tape so we could retrieve items easily if needed. The tape I provided was for assembling the additional boxes provided or labeling the box. The packing team arrived on time and immediately got to work. I work from home and was in a meeting when they arrived. After seeing their packing methodology and reasoning, I was literally running from room to room to reiterate things I shared when they arrived (i.e. - please pack similar items together, please do not tape up boxes, please do not write on boxes, etc.). I soon realized that I had made a mistake in trusting them to offer HELP. After three hours of their "services" and nearly $600 later, I wholeheartedly and completely regret my decision to hire this company. I got a headstart on packing so I only needed their help with packing up our Kitchen, Laundry Room (minus detergent we may need in the interim), a Hallway closet with toiletries, and our Kid's play nook. For reference, my entire home is 2037 sq ft. which means none of these areas are large by any means. I may be overly particular, but the way they packed up our Kitchen, Laundry Room, and Bathroom Hallway closet (they didn't even make it to the Kid's Nook) was unbelievably disorganized and in all honestly, made no sense. If we have 5 mixing bowls, I found each of the mixing bowls scattered in multiple, random boxes rather than in one box. In addition to the terrible packing job, I was overcharged for supplies that were never used. After asking about the missing supplies I provided, they reported that they used ALL my tape (over 10 heavy-duty rolls) to tape up boxes that I asked to be left untapped and used up over 320 sheets of packing paper. Oh! They even charged me for EXTRA packing paper and a slew of random "extras" that, to me, appear to be made up. My husband and I have spent 6 hours (and counting) rummaging through each box to simply identify where things are so we can unpack them in an orderly fashion. I wish I had read the 1-star reviews or paid more attention to them in my initial search. I have two small toddlers and was hoping that by hiring a company to assist with packing, I wouldn't feel as overwhelmed with this task by our move date. In this case, I can't even say I got what I paid for because I was left with more work than when they initially came to the house to HELP. Unfortunately, I will never use this company again, and I will advise all my friends and family to steer far away from soliciting this business. I definitely got got! read more

On the day of the move, the team of 3 arrived on time and they were so efficient! The entire move including drive time was under 4 hours. I requested a quote on a Sunday to get the ball rolling but to my surprise Juan at Optimus said they could do the job in about an hour which they did. They did a great job! Ya'll know I tell the truth! I used them to empty out a storage unit I had where I was moving contents to 3 different houses. I can't tell you how happy I was with their services! They were patient. They helped me move some things into my attic to make room in the garage. They moved out my daughter's existing bedroom furniture to make room for the furniture from the storage unit then setup the new furniture. My husband searched and searched for a top notch moving service because we were worried about our furniture getting damaged. We decided to go with Optimus because of all the amazing reviews on amazing. We were moving from a 3 story to a 2 story so it was a lot of work for the movers. The man guy in charge Joe was very professional and I enjoyed his company. The movers for the most part did a wonderful job but I'm knocking off a star because they broke my Restoration Hardware Lamp but Joe ended up fixing it. They stacked a lot of heavy boxes on boxes that weren't stable enough to stack on. They should've stacked on the heavy boxes.. but luckily nothing in the lighter boxes were damaged. When the movers arrived they kept taking pictures of my husbands cars instead of actually working and my husband was bothered by it since we were paying by the hour. All in all the guys were great but there were little things that could've easily been done to achiever the 5 stars. read more

We moved from a 3 story town home with a wrap around stair case. Watching this crew navigate this tight space without hitting the railing or wall was nothing short of impressive. They were exceptional movers and hustled the whole day to get the job completed. The prices were reasonable and they were able to wrap our items appropriately to prevent damage. It was an absolute pleasure working with this company for my 1 bedroom move from LA to TX. They were economical, personable, professional and reliable. They arrived on time in LA and were able to load up the truck in great time. They were even able to work through very late evening unloading my belongings at the new location in TX. All my belongings seemed to have survived the move well, except for the large QLED TV (screen was scratched causing damage on the entire surface). The gentlemen did wrap up the TV in blankets and secured it in the truck, but perhaps these new TVs are very sensitive. The company was cordial enough to replace my TV. Previously used this company, and unfortunately they've gone downhill. THIS TIME they actually overcharged me! I decided to splurge and use their packing service. I couldn't believe it but they actually used old boxes that weren't even mine and charged me full price for them! They tallied up more boxes than were actually used, AND without asking, they used boxes that I purchased for my personal belongings to privately pack myself. By the way, the man in charge of tallying up and boxes and materials used has a criminal record. I actually used my whitepages membership to look up his cell phone number and find that out. Who wouldn't do background checks on people in this business? Pretty mind blowing. During the day of the move the movers took their time during the last half. Also, their lunch break was supposed to be only 30 minutes, but they actually took an entire hour which I ended up paying for. Also, they asked for a tip when paying the final bill. There were times during the move when they asked me to help them wrap furniture or open the elevator for them at the storage unit. It ended up taking up the entire day just to move a small 3 bed apartment into a storage unit 10 minutes down the road. read more

I scheduled them for a move on Saturday, Father's Day weekend. They did not show due to the truck breaking down. So they rescheduled me for Father's Day at 7am. No call no show. I called Trae multiple times and he finally called me back hours later. Stating that he fired his crew and would contact me the next day(Monday) to compensate for me having such a bad experience. Update!! I did get a message from the owner expressing his apology for the bad experience. That in itself says a lot about a business owner. And if I ever need to move again.
