They had seamlessly loaded the contents of my 650 square foot apartment including large/heavy fragile furniture with glass (8 foot tall dresser with mirror weighing 250 lbs, and 50 galloon reptile tank) in about 1 hour. We promptly left via car to meet them at our new address in Philly, and they arrived at exactly the same time as we did. They unloaded the truck in about an hour again, and helped partially unpack and put items in the proper places, especially the furniture that would have been hard for me to move on my own later. I will continue to use Piece of Cake, and have recommended to several friends over the years that I have been using them. It was quick working with the customer support team initially to quote the move, make payment, and on COIs and confirmation. When we move again in a couple years Piece of Cake will be the only mover I call. My recommendation to others considering the service, be transparent and honest about the contents of your move, especially items requiring extra protection even if there is an additional fee involved. There were no surprise add-ons in my move because we carefully selected every single item that would be included in our move early on in the process, and made sure to reply in detail to the follow up emails regarding insurance, access to the apartments (stairs vs elevator, reserved elevator, etc.), and so on move-in day everything went off without a hitch. Piece of Cake are professionals and we love the service.

All three were young, but very composed and clearly experienced (definitely learned a lot of moving hacks from them). Emil handled disassembling and reassembling our king‑size bed frame and crib effortlessly (something our last movers really struggled with), and the team even came the day before to help pack about half our boxes so that moving day would go quickly. They worked fast, stayed organized, and took great care with everything. At our new apartment, they navigated two separate elevators with ease and got every piece of furniture right where it needed to go. And the cherry on top--they even made sure the loose dollar bills my wife had lying around were safely packed into our boxes! That level of honesty and attention to detail really stood out. Couldn't recommend Perfect Moving Co. more highly. They turned what could have been a stressful move into a genuinely positive experience.

Summary: + good price…read more+ fast and overall fine service + overall nice workers - poor communication - some unprofessionalism - some damages I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately landed on 3. I want to provide enough context so anyone considering Solidarity Movers can make an informed decision. Overall, this was one of the better moves I've had, but not one that warrants the 5-star reviews I see here. My husband and I moved from MA to NY due to family circumstances. The move was already stressful before it began, which is relevant because Solidarity was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them. Given some poor experiences I've had with movers in the past, I felt confident choosing them. Unfortunately, things started off rocky. I completed a video walkthrough, received an initial quote, and then requested a revision. After that, communication stalled. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and I couldn't even get confirmation that my request was being worked on. After about a day of silence while other companies were responding consistently, I was ready to book elsewhere and left a review reflecting my experience. Within minutes, owner Zak called me. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. Communication improved immediately, I received the revised quote, and their pricing felt fair, so I booked the move. A couple of weeks before the move, I reached out to confirm everything was still on track and asked about payment. I was told, in writing by Mike, that the remaining balance would be due "upon completion of your move." To me, that clearly meant after delivery. The move was scheduled for June 19 with overnight delivery on June 20. The crew was originally expected between 12 PM and 2 PM but arrived around 4 PM due to traffic. Traffic happens, and I had no issue with the delay itself. The crew was polite, worked efficiently, and seemed to handle our belongings with care. Unfortunately, this is where my experience started to decline. While packing, I overheard two crew members make a joke about my husband and me. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it was disappointing to become the subject of a gay joke, especially from a company that publicly projects queer allyship. I chose not to make an issue of it, but another customer may have felt differently. Once loading was complete, the foreman informed me that the remaining balance was due immediately. This directly contradicted the written communication I had received. When I raised the issue, Mike acknowledged there had been a miscommunication but insisted I still had to pay on the spot. What made the interaction frustrating was how dismissive he came across. He stated this was standard procedure and said he would investigate the miscommunication, but unless there is another Mike, the miscommunication originated with him. Rather than create additional stress for myself, I paid the balance and moved on. To be clear, I still tipped the crew generously because they worked hard. By the end of the move, they had received $1,200 total in gratuity, or $400 per mover. The next day, delivery was delayed again due to traffic, but the unloading process itself was quick and organized. The crew followed instructions, reassembled our storage bed, and got everything into the house efficiently. After unloading, I was asked to sign paperwork stating everything had been delivered without damage. This struck me as odd because we hadn't unpacked a single box yet, so there was no realistic way to verify that. Like many people at the end of a move, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted the process finished. While unpacking later, I discovered our $1,500 credenza had been damaged. Two interior shelves were broken, one completely split in half. Several glass items were also broken in transit. Nothing irreplaceable, but damage nonetheless. Could I file a claim? Sure. But after an already stressful interstate move, I don't have the time or energy to go through another lengthy process. Instead, I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. Despite everything, I would still consider recommending Solidarity Movers, especially for a local move. The crew worked hard, and this was far from the worst moving experience I've had. However, the communication issues, payment confusion, dismissive handling of that confusion, inappropriate comment, and damage to our belongings prevent me from rating the experience higher. If you're reading reviews because you're planning a move and trying to make the best decision possible, I hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck!

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with. This was hands down the easiest move I've ever had. If you are debating which moving company to use, this is your sign. Go with them.

Highly recommend O'Shea Trucking for your next move!…read more I interviewed so many movers in anticipation for our move this April/May. I got a mailer in from O'Shea trucking and decided to give them an opportunity to give an estimate. I spoke to Michelle O'Shea who told me it was a family business and they help to move locally and long distance. She scheduled with Rick, her husband, to come provide an estimate. When Rick came to provide the estimate, he was informative, kind and thorough. He went to see all the rooms, attic and crawl space. I really appreciated that the owner himself came to do the estimate rather than the previous sales people I've dealt with at other companies. Michelle sent over the quote and I was able to secure my date with a deposit. Unfortunately, we had issues with our closing date and buyers and had to changed our previously scheduled moving date. Michelle was wondering and communicative as she accommodated our new date. She was able to set up a crew to help me move before we needed to be out of the house. I was so appreciative of all her efforts. The day of the move, Rick called me and informed me that the crew was on their way. Rick himself and 4 members of his team were there ready to work. They were efficient, they worked well together, communicated well and everything flowed. They did a walk through prior to the move to ensure what was being moved and packed everything up so well. When moving into the new space, they transported all the furniture and assembled them in their designated rooms. They put down runners throughout the house to ensure everything was safe and transported well. They asked questions and moved things where directed. Each person had a task - unloading, building, transporting and the family team really worked well together. I highly recommend O'Shea Trucking for your next move. From someone who got about 6 quotes prior to meeting O'shea, I am so thankful for the mailer I received from them and very grateful I reached out. I hope not to move again in the near future, however I will recommend them to anyone and everyone. My coworker is eager to work with them on her move and I will be using them for my parents move. Their answer was, "You've got the best right down the road from you." They were correct. Davis was very good, and the price was right. I haven't had the need for a moving company in the past 24 years, but remembered how good they once were and decided to give them a call for an estimate for an upcoming move. A representative did set an appointment and came to the house, and fairly quickly I had an estimate. Some time passed and my wife and I decided to pare down the number of items we were going to move, partly to lower costs. I then called Walton P. Davis to ask them to return in order to reassess our move since so much had changed. I left message after message and was finally told that the sales rep I had been dealing with was tied up in Manhattan with meetings and that he would call me at the end of the week. I said I understood and waited for the call back. Figuring that a message may have been lost in the shuffle I decided to call again. The person I had been speaking to for weeks answered the phone and said again that the rep had been busy but that he'd asked her to call me to put me at ease, and that in fact he would be calling me. That was 2 weeks ago. Now, I might have been born at night, but I wasn't born LAST night. I can tell when I'm being put off. The only thing I can't figure is WHY. Trust me when I tell you that this company has changed drastically over the years, and not for the better. At this point, I'd have to be nothing but stupid to do business with them. Evidently, any quality of service or representation they may once have had is long gone. Do yourself a favor and spend your time researching movers that are not named Walton P. Davis. Useless. I feel I've dodged a bullet by not hearing from them. Shame, too, because I absolutely like to patronize local businesses, Especially ones that I know were once very good, and especially ones that are literally 30 seconds from my door.
