In 2024, I filed a BBB complaint about Moving At Ease. On March 14, 2023, they brought in a second truck and additional crew members without my approval, increasing the cost of my move. After arriving at my new condominium, my cat became temporarily misplaced. I asked the movers to stop while I searched because I could no longer supervise the move. Instead, they loaded a substantial portion of my belongings onto their trucks and removed them without my knowledge or authorization. Those items were supposed to remain in my condominium, not be taken to storage. I never requested storage, signed a storage agreement, or authorized storage charges. After I filed my BBB complaint, the company claimed I owed approximately $4,000 in storage fees. I never received a storage invoice, billing statement, demand for payment, or any documentation supporting those alleged charges, and I dispute that I ever agreed to storage. For years, I tried in good faith to recover my belongings. Despite repeated emails and requests, I was never provided with documentation supporting the claimed storage charges or explaining the authority under which my belongings were retained. As late as August and September 2025, I was assured my property was "safe and secure." I relied on those assurances, only to later receive an email from the owner stating that my belongings had been donated without my knowledge or consent. Among those belongings were my dearly loved late mother's cremated ashes, irreplaceable family heirlooms lovingly created by my parents, treasured photographs, jewelry, personal records, and other priceless possessions. I continue to request a complete accounting of what happened to my property, including when, where, how, and under what authority it was disposed of. I encourage consumers to carefully review all documentation, ask questions, and proceed with caution before hiring this company. read more

The estimate for my move was $2128,05. The final cost was $4590.13 plus I had paid $100.00 as a good faith and to reserve the date. So the total charge was $4690.13. I had packed up everything from the kitchen as well as about 15 small pictures. I had also sold two large pieces of furniture, so I thought that maybe it would be less than the estimate. WAS I EVER SURPRISED!!! If you get an estimate from this company be sure to include a clause that the total cost would not exceed a certain amount. Since I was charged well over twice the estimate what is to prevent them from charging any amount they desire? I also had damage to my grandfather clock to the cost of $300.00. read more

The one item above all else not to damage was my very expensive wine cabinet. They assured me it was in good hands. Of course, one panel was cracked significantly. The delivery people obviously saw the damage and said nothing. Spoke to one of the owners. He was completely unconcerned and unhelpful. Totally unprofessional. If you like to gamble, hire this company! The truck that packs your house may not be delivering your belongings. In my case, they store it and transfer it to another truck. The truck arrived at my new location 1 day early( I was supposed to work that day!). The driver arrived with NO movers, NO dolly! 3 hours later, they arrived as they had hired people from the street to move my belongings. Not being professionals, they were actually quite careless! All my art pieces were not in the truck, incredibly stressful day, and they acknowledged they had moved the art to a different place in their warehouse. Worked with Flynn to set this move up - - I just needed 3 guys to load my household goods into a rental van as I was moving out of state. I had arranged for 3 guys, however, only 2 showed up. It took longer than expected, but my bill was adjusted accordingly. Tristan and Lawson did a great job wrapping my furniture in blankets, then shrink wrapping it to ensure there would be no damage. So, when we decided to sell our house and move into an independent living facility, we had to try our luck at selecting a moving company. WE WON! The folks at Moving At Ease are absolutely great! Not only are they professional and friendly, they are meticulous is their packing and moving methods. Every item is treated as if it is their own. We had nothing broken, missing, or damaged. We found this company for our move in April when most of the other companies we searched did not have any availability on the days we were looking for. Their reviews seemed fine and contact with them was prompt. Here is the breakdown of our experience with them. Pros: Movers were nice and professional in their attitudes. Communication with the company was pretty clear in setting up the appointment and they addressed damages promptly. Cons: Movers worked very slow. Had three movers and we were moving about 15 medium to large furniture pieces from a two story townhome into a storage unit in Scottsdale, about 10 miles away. We have used several moving companies over the years and this one by far worked the slowest and took far longer than estimated and ended up costing much more than expected. There were wall dents and damage in the process of moving. The company dealt with it but never had this happen before. Also, the movers barely wrapped up pieces in plastic wrap and our mattress was stained and got very dirty as they dragged it unwrapped on the floors. Overall, we would rate this company about 2.5 stars. Communication was prompt and the movers were nice, but they worked so slow and ended up costing so much more than expected. read more

Beware- this moving company lost about 20% of our belongings. They blamed it on one of their employees. It has been 17 months now and they have not replaced or recovered our belongings.
