We were agreed for an arrival window of 9A-11A, and I let KT know that I'd reserved the elevator for 10AM. He agreed on 10AM. He would arrive with another person to pack my apartment up and move several blocks up, from one studio apartment to another. 30-45 minutes past 10AM, nearly towards the end of the arrival window, I had to make every attempt to reach someone for KT to tell me that he had forgotten to let me know that he would need to reschedule. (Later, he said that his first job was running late so he didn't actually know ahead of time that he'd need to reschedule.) He asked if a delivery window of 12P-2P would be OK. I told him that this would be fine, but I needed to leave at 4P so if he committed to start between 12 and 2, he'd need to be done by 4. He assured me that this would be possible. He started later in the 12-2P window, and reassured me that he would be done by 4. I attempted to continue to keep in touch with KT, and reminded him that I'd need to leave by 4 and would be gone until 5:30-6P. At 3:45PM, I told him I'd need to leave in 15 minutes and asked if he was done. He told me he was on his way. At 4:15PM, I left for my appointment and he accidentally sent me a text meant for someone else that said "Bro I feel like she ain't tryna pay." I had someone come to my apartment to facilitate the move in my absence. It was just him - so there were not two people but one, my bed was broken during the move, and ultimately he charged me $700 and took over 6 hours to move one studio apartment to another, when (1) he was late arriving and failed to finish in either window that he confirmed to me, (2) there was only one person, himself, on the job versus the two that he committed to thus making the job longer, and (3) he damaged my furniture. I left him a $50 tip as I felt sorry that he was moving everything himself and I'm sure it was a stressful day for him. I noticed that my bed was put together incorrectly after he left - and the way that he put it together actually damaged the furniture in such a way that I have to buy a new bed frame. I let him know, and he didn't respond or apologize. Ultimately his unprofessionalism and inability to communicate were most frustrating. I would highly recommend that you verify that KT is insured and I would not recommend this moving company if you are hoping for an expedited and efficient move. read more

I've tried 2 other moving companies in San Diego so far. Moving with Love has been an amazing experience. They are quick to respond and have great communication. They were incredibly patient and understanding when several issues on my end arose. I made an appointment with them 2 days in a row, since my landlord withheld some of my belongings that we weren't able to get to in the initial move. I'm incredibly grateful that they were available on such short notice. The two gentlemen were very respectful, hardworking, trustworthy, and fun people. Despite the high temperatures in the San Diego afternoon sun in this heat wave, I never heard them complain about/to me, and they continued to be professional and treat my belongings with care. I only wish I could have been able to reward their hard work with a few ice cold beers. Their pricing is very fair and transparent; there were no hidden surprise fees at the end. I'm always worried due to the horror stories I hear of shady moving companies overcharging or tacking on hidden fees at the very end, holding your stuff hostage until you pay an extra fee hundred. This was definitely not the case with Moving with Love, and I felt at ease throughout the entire process. All of my boxes are intact; they've been very careful with my belongings and none of my glassware had even so much as chipped during the move. Even with smaller items such as bags and a few things that were not boxed up yet were handled carefully and respectfully. I cannot recommend Moving with Love enough; they've made my moving experience much less of a hassle than I thought it would be, and I would definitely trust them with my next move. As a recent college grad with a tight budget, I greatly appreciate their prices; after working with them twice, I can definitely say that their work is of higher value than their current rates. read more

From booking to the move, KT was responsive and efficient. We moved from a one bedroom condo (with patio furniture and lots of plants) to a two-story 3-bed townhome in about 6 hours. We worked to KT on a double household move. We moved my boyfriends place first then they came to mine. Through that difficult part they were great about strapping down, protecting, and being careful. They did both places with the travel time In-between In under 4 hours. Our house has a very tough driveway. They didn't fuss or make a big deal of it even though it's a steep hill.
