If I don't count the gouges in the door frames, the damaged plants, the scratches in the floor, the broken furniture legs, the dirty handprints on the freshly painted walls, the unpacking that looked like the work of a meth addict, I would say everything was perfect. I wasn't going to mention this, because the owner gave me a refund on part of the charges, but now that the owner has called me a liar, all deals are off. Without asking my permission, one of their workers used my toilet and clogged it with poop and they just walked away from it. I couldn't get a plumber for three days so that man's poop stayed in my toilet for three days offgassing into my bathroom. Coronavirus is highly transmissible through feces but they don't care about their clients enough to train their workers in common manners. When the owner called me a liar, that was the icing on the cake. He doesn't mention what would prompt me to waste my time by making a false review for a company I know nothing about iand I've never dealt with. I guess it is too much to ask him to stand up like a man and admit his faults. My crew was headed by Chris and here are pictures that shame the owner. read more

So I called last week to speak to Jessie, since he responded to my review on here. I spoke with a guy named John. Once John read my review he then tells me that Jessie isn't in and he will leave a message with him to have him return my call. I have not heard back from any of them and it's been almost a week. The only thing I received via email, after the phone call, was my receipt for the move. They FINALLY sent me the receipt. This was after John read my review. This company is not trustworthy. They will charge you more than wha they quote you, and they will have their workers work slowly since they charge by the hour. There are other companies out there that charge close to half of what they charge. Since they said they are licensed, I trusted them. Turns out, even licensed businesses will still scam you. read more

The movers were great. I am still trying to get in touch with Zach about my bill (explained below), which is why I only gave 3 stars. Hopefully, I will speak to Zach to discuss my billing concerns and then give the company a better rating. I hired Purely Move to load two UHaul Containers. This was no easy task as the UHaul Containers we're placed in the loading/unloading zone that is on the opposite side of my apartment building. My movers Adrain and Alika were great. Having to move is tough enough, but adding the extra distance was a little extra work. However, Adrian and Alika did not complain. They were very professional and friendly during the entire procedure. I did try to call the manager Zach after the movers left as I had a question about my bill. I was quoted $130 per hour, but when I looked at the bill that was emailed to me I was charged $140 per hour. I have called at least five times in the past two hours, and no one is answering the phone. Hopefully I will be able to review the bill with Zach tomorrow to discuss the discrepancies. I am hoping that I am able to speak with Zach about this, especially because some of the reviews I read prior to hiring Purely Move stated that there were problems with the billing and communicating with Zach and Zach not returning calls to concerned clients. I certainly hope this is not the case with me. My fingers are crossed and I am thinking positively. I will give an update soon. read more

Gavin and Justin from Purely Move are amazing! Friendly, on time, quick and professional. I moved from a floor level place with a full garage in OB, over to the third floor of my new place with a pit stop at my second floor storage unit nearby. They went above and beyond! The whole reason I got movers was because my couch wouldn't fit in the elevator of my new place, or up the narrow stairwell. I let them know in advance what they were in for and they easily hoisted it up over the balcony to my new place. They also helped break down my king sized bed and set it up in the new place. This company is pure scam. I paid for 3 movers and the "crew" they sent had only 1 real mover and 2 helpers. They charge by hours and took 13+ hrs to move 3 bed SFH house worth stuff from one house to other house in same city ,10 miles away (local move, san diego). On top, they charged 3 hrs extra drive time from LA to san Diego (they never disclosed that they are in LA). After that, they illegally stole stuff from garage and put back on truck, We had to call police to get them out of the house. Cops advised me to file criminal case against this scam company. I ended up paying these scammers 16 hrs of movers time for the work that should have been done in 8 hrs by team of 3 movers. read more

Moving took about 5 hrs from 9:30 to 2:30 but Jessi, owner of this company, insists to charge us 1hr 30min more for port to port fee which they briefly mentioned the email with no detail description.
