They did a large job quickly and…read moreefficiently despite having horrendous weather the entire week and slogging through mud to get to the worksite. Every day they packed up their tools and cleaned up the jobsite, a detail which is rare in our experience but deeply appreciated. Due to a scheduling issue on our end they also had to spend 2 days working alongside another crew and they worked vary hard to ensure that everybody was able to get their job done and stay out of each other's way. We had them out to transplant a large bush, build a paver patio, and build a foundation pad for a backyard office. Their work on the patio included several excellent details that no other landscape/hardscape company we talked to mentioned, including steel edging around a crawlspace vent and buried cement around the entire exterior of the patio to ensure that none of the pavers would move. The pattern throughout the patio and along the border is flawless and exactly what we asked for. The foundation pad was built beautifully, the company we had out to build the structure was able to start immediately and it's all rock-solid. Imperial Hardscapes was also able to offer us a steel edge for the pad instead of the more traditional treated lumber which we love because it meant the pad took up the minimum amount of necessary space in our yard. All of the details were taken care of beautifully. Everything was level, square, and every choice along the way was communicated to us so we weren't left with any questions or anything we weren't happy with. We can't wait to get Lima out again to build a step for the backyard office and potentially a paver path for us, we loved their work and recommend them without reservation. Instead, I had to go onto his website and schedule there. I went to the website and made an appointment. I was at the property 30 minutes prior to the schedule appointment time (window of 3pm to 4pm). I waited until about 3:15pm, still no word from the contractor. I went out front to see if maybe he had went too far down the block or something. No one in sight. I took a few minutes to run to the restroom. After the restroom, I noticed I missed the contractor's call by three minutes. I rang back expecting him to answer and explain that he was on his way or had arrived. Instead, it went to his voicemail. A few minutes later, I received a string of text messages from the contractor accusing me of missing the appointment, wasting his time, costing him gas money, and making him late for other appointments. Apparently, my stepping into the restroom for three minutes was out of the question. What kind of contactor works like this? I took time out of my day to meet this contractor as well. I guess my time as a client is not valuable to him in any way? He claims he waited for 20 minutes, but that is not at all true. I went outside searching for him and he had not arrived. Furthermore, why would he wait outside for 20 minutes and not attempt to call the contact number? When he finally did call, I only missed the call by three minutes. When I mentioned that I would be reviewing my experience, he only went on a further threatening tirade about he planned to comment back on my review about how much of his time I wasted. Ummm, you were not at the property when I checked at 3:15pm. I went to the restroom for a few minutes, I missed a call by three minutes, and then you refused to answer. If three minutes is unacceptable, it sounds as though you have some scheduling issues. Anyhow, DO NOT hire this contractor. He is terribly impatient, rude, and does not value your time as the hiring client.

The project started the following Monday and Desantiel and team were done after 3 days. They picked up the stone on my behalf, so no additional delivery fees. During the entire project they worked diligently and asked a few questions to be sure everything was done to expectations. They worked full days with some rain while lifting 90 lb stones! Great communication and a friendly, professional interaction the whole time.
