Like the vast majority of people on Earth, were always lookin for a good deal. This obviously translates to he grocery store and past places have very successfully steered my spending based on deals or promises of rewards. No longer do I have to search high and low for deals on whatever I'm looking for! Grocery outlet is a spot I've known of for some time but really never had the guts to go in. We had a similar spot in Iowa that operated by purchasing nearly expired food or food that had come from delivery trucks that had gotten in wrecks- We certainly had no problem paying half price for a box of cereal that had a rip on the front, but purchasing meat that was supposed to be sold two days ago was never really a thing. I made the incorrect assumption that this place operated on the same set of rules. After finding out that they are simply looking at giving people the deals...sign me up! The place is a small to medium size grocery store that has plenty of different things, most of which are marked down pretty significantly from what you purchase at traditional stores. They display the normal store price and then their price for each item. While I'm not totally convinced that the "normal price" is correct outside of somewhere like LA, The discount price is certainly are lower than normal. The vast majority of the items here are things that you've seen at some point in a traditional grocery store and don't see anymore, or are in relatively short supply - example - not a to of cereal options, but really who needs more than a few when you're looking for a deal! There were large sections of frozen goods as well as a fairly small meat section. I must call your attention to the back right corner where the clearance shelf resides. This is truly the place that items go to die. That said, such items are often heavily discounted! We found a delightful costume for a car that included only one of the two antennae, it was markdown for a dollar. An American flag on the front grill is definitely worth a dollar! The beer and wine selection here was actually much more impressive than I was expecting. It takes up the majority of the front wall and the selection of microbrews that they have from around the Northwest is actually pretty impressive. The rivals a lot of other stores in the area. The wine selection as well is pretty impressive. Not a place you're going to find a ton of high-end stuff, but if you're looking for stuff it's a little bit cheaper than normal a couple of different options, this is not a bad place to look. On the way out, you can leave your receipt and if your name is chosen, it will give you a gift card for the amount that was saved the day. I spent something like $7 and saved $18 on the whole purchase- receipt placed in bin! This is not a place you take somebody to impress them, unless they were impressed by the amount saved on your grocery bill... Actually, I would be impressed by that - you can take me here! Good place to do some, but not all, of your shopping and where you will likely save a lot of money versus other stores.

Cutting food down by Pennie's is a joke cutting expiring or close to it, food should be a minimum of 40% that's a bargain.

I go here over Safeway 10/10 times. Easy place to shop always in and out. Good selection for size of store. Ample parking.

Make sure to look up and down or you just might miss something. There's a mixture of items in the store- vintage furniture, modern day clothing, 1970s decor- they have it all. We even went back the next day because we ran out of time. *BE FORWARNED** There isn't a public restroom available! You will have to go across the track to the cafe.

It's not much to look at from outside as it's an old warehouse, but once you get inside the place you find that it's huge. Around the outside at least in the first third of the store are cases with more valuable antiques, small trinket he antiques and plenty of dolls and figurines. They're organized in a somewhat reasonable fashion, but there does tend to be a lot of random this within the different cases. As you continue to the store and realize how far back the place goes, you're treated two small areas that function as separate rooms with specific types of antiques. There's some great cowboy themed ones, plenty of bedroom type antiques and one of the biggest hat sections I've ever seen in the store like this. It was very impressive, and even if you're not looking for anything in particular, there's enough stuff here that you will probably find something you're interested in. When I came back up front, I found that there was a birdcage with a number of small birds inside. They seemed very nice! All things considered, this is a really cool and really big antique shop that is worth your time, before or after you visit the brewery next-door!

The place was jamming. It was likely an optical illusion, but this store felt bigger than others I've been to. Well maintained, and stocked out quite nicely, the biggest issue was navigating the inside traffic. People simply forget the 'stay to the right' rule when navigating shopping aisles. Alas, Joyce and a few of her cohorts in the optical department blatantly ignored me and when I politely asked if I could just buy these and be on my way, Joyce lied right in my face, claiming to be helping TWO customers. The truth was that Joyce was regaling an acquaintance with stories about her piglets and all of the excitement of running a pig farm and helping zero customers. The guy she was talking to turned to me twice during his convo with her to assure me he wasn't buying anything and was just wasting time. So don't go in there thinking you'll get decent service because Costco treats its employees well. Note to Costco: Fire Joyce asap.

While here, I got a nice history lesson about the place. All profits go to support the Union Gospel Mission and as it were, it's the old Union Gospel Mission that was then transitioned into a store when they outgrew the space. It flows like the bottom level of the hotel, and now we know why! The selection of stuff is pretty vast, ranging from kitchen items, clothing, plenty of trinkets and a pretty good vinyl section. As with most thrift stores there's plenty of stuff that probably won't go with your current house, but while in there I was able to find a good number of things that did actually go with ours. Of all the thrift stores in the area that I've been in, I really felt like this one was the nicest, knowing that everything goes towards a good cause probably meant I bought a few more things. This place is an absolute must check out for anyone who likes going searching for something you didn't know you needed!

I stop at Kohl's all across the country because they have the cleanest restrooms out of the places that my wife has approved me to stop at. This Kohl's was no exception, at least for the men's restroom. My wife and daughter did not complain. It was a bonus when one of the friendly employees told me that I should try Miner Drive in for lunch. The only thing this Kohl's needed was a "map" up front so that we didn't have to circle the entire store looking for the restroom.

The shoe selection here, while a bit sporadic, is usually solid. They tend to have a good selection of athletic shoes and more than likely, you'll be able to find something pretty inexpensive. It can also be a good place to go try on shoes and then shop on Amazon and see if there something for a better deal. Given the Number of 20% off coupons that you can usually find online, it's actually pretty rare to find something much less expensive on Amazon. I'm a big fan of paying the extra two dollars and being able to wear something home. Good spot, decent prices, a nice place to go when you need something relatively soon. What's not to love!
