The massage therapy I had with Robert was great, he knew what he was doing and gave some advice/stretches on how to relax my issue- neck and shoulder pains. I have not seen the results yet today, but will still continue to try the stretches he suggested me to do. I feel the charge is on the higher end side, compared to the service/results on how it turned out. My upper back and neck were all snapped up from having to sit in front of a computer all day. I arrived 10 min. late because Apple Maps led me to the wrong location (already reported), but they were very accommodating. I booked a 75 minutes appointment with Holly. Truly the best massage I've ever experienced. I believe she's been in the business for almost 20 years and as an athlete herself; she found knots that I didn't even realized existed. I went in there tensed as a rock. Kept making me squirm like a worm but she told me she was barely putting any pressure. I don't know about that but Holly seemed strong af no joke. She also gave me some stretching pointers that were really helpful. We got through a lot during the session but there was still some we couldn't get to. Already have another session booked for next month. Price tag is pretty steep (maybe that's why Venmo kept denying my payment), but they are truly professional. Every single little knot, adhesion, and bit of scar tissue was worked on. My preference when I get any kind of massage is with a good amount of pressure, and she nailed it! To keep you somewhat distracted from the possible discomfort you'll feel, she talks to you about all sorts of interesting things. The 90 minutes went rather quickly considering how many knots were loosened up, and I felt amazing as I walked out. The set up was super nice! Before I moved I was a fairly regular customer. Over the years, I've seen the prices go up and customer service decline. For example, I had made an appointment over the phone and when I showed up for it they didn't have me in the system. However, on the drive home the owner did call, apologized for the booking error (apparently, she forgot to save it in the system), and offered a massage for free. I gladly accepted. In an unfortunate coincidence, 10 minutes into the massage, the building caught fire and everyone had to evacuate. I never heard back from anyone to make up for this. Granted, I moved away not too long after this incident, but still, it would have been nice to have heard something... at least an attempt to make up for it. A year later, I'm in back in San Jose visiting and decided to try the place again and let bygones be bygones. I had no issues booking the appointment. The therapist, Eddie, was very nice, very professional. The massage was just, okay. I've had better. It looks like many of the really good therapists are not there anymore. All of this along with the price increases over the years ($150 for a 90 minute massage if you're a non-member, $130 for members) has me thinking of looking elsewhere. With the increasing cost of living in the valley (Heck, it drove me out and back to Omaha), along with the cost of repair from the fire, I suppose the price increases were a necessity. If you want to get a massage here and can afford it - I would recommend making the appointment online and make sure you get a confirmation email securing the appointment. I have been a customer of Roman's Paradigm for over 6 years. There's been rescheduling twice in the past where I had to be massaged by a different therapist. First time was when Joe (who no longer works here) stepped out because he was not feeling well and second time was when my original therapist couldn't make it on time; therefore, another lady massaged me instead. Sadly, a 3rd time happened today and it was for a 10am appointment. I received a call around 9:25am and was told that no one would be able to be there at 10am to open doors. I was hesitant to reschedule anything, since it's a 3rd and wasn't sure if I should come back. From my experience, Robert and Joe really helped me with my back and neck issues. Please continue to the below review of interest: Massage: I asked for a clinical due to car injury and they receptionist on the phone said everyone was trained but where was the main pain focus, I mentioned shoulders and neck so she recommended Eddie. I was very happy with the experience, I was asked about how the accident happened and some other general questions. Table is warmed and the massage was amazing. The next time I went back I was god they have different lotions scents if I wanted one to just note it on the chart I was given. I chose lavender orange, awesome! This is complimentary which I found nice. Chiropractor: On my first visit Eddie did suggest I see one and noted there was one on site. I decided to try him out as location was convenient and thought it did be helpful for the two to talk. The Dr is nice however he was pretty late for his first appointment due to morning traffic (9:30am appointment) this is just a big pet peeve of mine. I came early to fill out a paperwork which ended I being wrong so I was given the correct one on way home. Despite this I liked how he walked me through where I was tight in neck etc. he then did heat to my back then readjusted. Felt great. My only big gripe is that 2 min into our first consultation he pushed getting a lawyer and then mentioned he has a contact if I needed one. If he would have mentioned it and left it alone it would have been fine but he kept going on and mentioned it again as I left. Thankfully he hasn't mentioned it again. I was hoping he would Converse with the massage therapist but it doesn't seem so. I think this could be an easy fix by the team and much appreciated by clients gong for clinical or not massages and chiropractor as they tend to go hand in hand. Facility: massage rooms are nice and music is pretty loud throughout which helps with any sounds. Minor annoyance is that for one a chiropractor appt a baby was with the receptionist. I get things happen and it might have been a sexual situation, but if i would have been in a massage I would have been annoyed as the baby did get fussy and I could hear her through the door. Bathroom is really nice and has amenities for free like tooth picks, hairspray, deodorant, mouth wash. It's a nice touch. Price: a little on the high side, my insurance is suing for my current items so I wanted to try it. If I come back on my own dime it will be a treat vs regular. I had a strain in my shoulders from studying and working at a computer for years. I also run frequently, and I felt a pain in my legs after each run. So I came to Moxie's Bodyworks and made an appointment for a sports therapy massage. I had Suzanne as my massuese, and she did an excellent job. I enjoyed the message, and although it definitely hurt, it felt like a lot of that tension in my body were being loosened. I was impressed by how she was able to thoroughly pinpoint any knot in my shoulder and work on it. She made the best use of the time, and it felt like the time flew by. On top of the stellar massage, we had a great conversation that helped distract me from the pain and add more insight to how massages work. The spa tub pre soak and the champagne with strawberries were the only thing missing from our massage that day. the only thing I wished was missing was the traffic noise from the busy street outside (Winchester). The location is convenient and we didn't have trouble finding parking at all. In we went to find low relaxing lights, a therapuetic aquarium, aromatherapy, and light sounds of music flowing through the office. I was immediately introduced to Anastacio (my massuese for the day) and shown to my room to change and get comfortable on the table. The heated tables were very nice! While I wanted a more relaxing massage, my trainer told me that I was in knots and to PLEASE hjave the masseuse work on trigger points. I decided to "man up" and deal with the pain. Anastacio checked in with me often to make sure the pressure was ok. It wasn't, but I told him to carry on anyway! haha At one point I even asked him if he would be offended if I punched him in the shin! He said "it wouldn't be the first time!" LMAO! But seriously? If you need to have some tight spots worked out? Anastacio sure can "GET er DONE!" Zak had a totally different experience. I was quite jealous. He went for a relaxation massage and he told me that the woman who worked on him was very knowledgeable about the body and he could tell from his massage. She gave him posture tips as well as pointers for his workouts and regular movement to keep his muscles working evenly etc. He looked like a baby kitten drunk off mamas milk when he came out! ha! We loved our experience here (even though I was sore for a good 24 hours after) and would most certainly reccommend their massage therapy to everyone no matter your need. I haven't gotten a back massage in quite some time and was a bit reluctant at first. I had also just ran a 5k and my legs were so sore that walking wasn't exactly fun. After meeting Crystal, she walked me through some options and I told her about some areas that were bothering me (my upper and lower back) and to be gentle on my legs considering how sore they were and honestly, she targeted those areas quite well. My legs actually felt a bit better which was certainly welcomed. It is also important to note that I am pretty sure that I was drooling on the floor at one point but, that is to be expected, lol. I'm a rather talkative person by nature as well so it was nice to be able to chit chat during the massage but, that is my preference and she was open to that. When I was finished, she suggested I take a bath in Epson Salts and said I will likely be sore later which I totally was. She even called me later that day to make sure I was OK and see how I was doing which was pretty nice. :) In summary, Crystal is a friendly, goodhearted person who gives a damn good massage so I definitely recommend her and will look to schedule an appointment with her again in the near future! read more

I found Suzanne from a Google search for a sports massage. I have been dealing with an impinged shoulder. Suzanne is very patient and willing to improvise on my suggestions. She is very accommodating in scheduling. She is very strong and the massage can get painful at times, in a good way. We were able to identify all the trigger points on the side and pecs, and work on them where my shoulder is finally close to recovered. I would highly recommend Suzanne for sports injury recovery. I submitted a review 2 months ago about my first experience which was also 5 stars, and now I am reviewing the overall healing process Suzanne has given me. I came in with a terrible right leg, right glute, and lower back. Suzanne recommended coming in at least once a week for at least 6 sessions, and then maintenance after that (~1/month) so I did. I can now OFFICIALLY say I am healed! Within the first 4 weeks I felt 90% better in all areas. I could walk, sit, lay down normally without compensating the other half of my body. Please let it be known that I have used all western types of medicine: chiro, PT, pain meds, etc. Nothing solved this! I've had this issue for 4 years, and I am young!! (Mid twenties). I cannot believe that I have found the solution to keeping my body in line, however, I do pair this with chiropractic every other week. AND side note, the chiropractor told me for the first time EVER when I arrived that my heels were aligned already! (This is due to Suzanne's work).
