Nicole is AMAZING! I have been to a lot of massage and PT places but so far Nicole is the best. Sometimes I think she just works magic but then I remember it's just her training and understanding of how the body works (or how it should) so she knows how to find problem spots. There are times where I don't even have to point her to work on a specific spot because she has already found it and knows how to work it out. The increased mobility I have gotten from just a few sessions this year has made a significant improvement in my posture. Her Fascial Stretch Therapy is really great to get that extra stretch that you can't get on your own. For me my upper body feels stuck and through her knowledge of the body I was able to really open up my chest. As a swimmer for over 25 years I started to develop a rolled forward swimmers posture so now I am to open up my chest more and feel more comfortable with my shoulders back. When I went to my first appointment this year I told her that my ultimate goal was to be able to sleep on my back. After my third appointment I was able to sleep on my back for some of the night and have been able to on multiple occasions after! As an athlete I used to never stretch and I'd push my body and would continue to decrease my mobility. Now I am trying to exercise and also focus on recovery and mobility so yoga has helped me but when I go to Nicole it combines and helps me loosen up even more. Whether it's to help recover from an injury or a full body massage Nicole is so refined in her craft that I have already had amazing progress in just 3 sessions. Thank you Nicole! read more

I've tried several different places in the San Jose area to find a massage professional that clicks just right with me. Nicole was a random find and the reviews seemed promising. Each session I've had with her (~8 so far) is exactly what I needed; I never feel like I didn't get enough work in one area or too much in another. She not only finds the cause of my pain but is able to explain why it's hurting and then gives me stretches and advice to help keep things in check. My session last month ended with some amazing stretching done on me that resembled Thai massage; it was fantastic and unexpected and I was impressed with both the technique and the results! It's also worth mentioning that she can be as quiet or as chatty as you'd like. Sometimes it's really hard to find someone skilled who matches the right amount of conversation level. Nicole is very kind, professional, knowledgeable and had been outstandingly helpful in finding the source of my shoulder and knee pain as a result of consistent heavy lifting. I've had a total of three sessions with her - the first two for my shoulder and the third full body to include the lower body. Easy scheduling procedure and very accommodating. She has consistent pressure throughout and always made sure I was comfortable while she was working those sensitive spots. After each session, she gave recommendations for stretches and exercises to rehab those muscle groups and even showed where these muscles are located to get a better mechanical understanding of how the body moves. The range of motion in my shoulder returned! I'm able to confidently return to the gym and train in a much safer and productive manner. Nicole is awesome! I had a very unique and relaxing massage, one of the best I've every had! I came in here for a special promo, but I think I will come here as one of my regular places, as I try to get massages routinely. I always ask for medium to firm pressure as I don't care much for deep tissue. The whole session was nicely firm, and constantly flowing. Nicole used both hands/arms whenever possible, and I could feel each limb being revitalized, on the top, sides, and bottom. That was much different than many other massages, where the therapist will work on a specific area. That's good too, and I'm sure Nicole can do that too, but covering everything is my favorite. Nicole's arms/hands were always working on something. A very nice flow, which followed the soothing music very appropriately. She also guided and instructed me with just the right amount of clear dialogue, and not too much so that most of the session was quiet so I could relax or sleep or just go into my own healing trance. Nicole also gave me a number of stretches on my legs both while facing down and facing up. She probably caught on quickly that I was a runner, as all those stretches reminded me of what I have not been doing enough of yet. After the session, Nicole explained to me areas where my muscles were tight and had adhesions, in my upper shoulders, and down in the arches of my feet. She explained some simple exercises which I could do on my own to help me and relieve my tension, which I haven't tried before. Thank you Nicole for an awesome session! I found Nicole here on Yelp because I was looking to pamper myself, and since I work out a lot and used to play sports, I always wanted to try sports massage. Also, I had tight hamstrings, so I wanted to take advantage of the post massage stretching. Nicole is the only high-rated place in Santa Clara County on Yelp that actually specializes in sports massage (others do it, but it's not their specialty), so I chose her. Nicole has been amazing! After my first massage, I purchased a 5 massage package. I used one after a 5k race in which I got bad shin splints. Usually when I get those, it takes me several weeks for them to loosen up completely. With Nicole, most of the pain was gone immediately, and they had loosened up to normal within 2 days. I've tried other massage therapists for my stiff neck and shoulder issues. None were even close to the results that I get from Nicole. She finds the tight muscles and applies just enough pressure to relax them. It's not painful, unlike some of the pressure-point massages I've had. Afterwards, I can turn my head a lot more! She is very knowledgeable about anatomy. I often ask, "what muscle is that? What does it do?" She always knows the answer. One of the best tips anyone has given me is something that Nicole told me about rotating my hips to realign my back and shoulders. Wow. It really worked. Nicole has been an absolute godsend. I found her via Yelp and set up my first appointment. I had come down with some lower back issues and wanted to get it looked at and treated. I didn't think I needed any serious medical attention so I thought a sports massage would do the trick. When I found her office, it was clean and inviting. It is quiet and relaxing, but also a serious office-style set up since she is there to help ease aches and pains in addition to giving relaxing massages! We discussed my target areas and my goals for our sessions. Before the massage started, while I got ready, she went to wash her hands. When she started, she made sure I was comfortable and that her pressure levels were just right for me. She hit all the right areas and could sense tension and knots in different places and focused on them. Afterward, I felt much better and she sat with me to discuss long term treatments and stretching methods. You can tell that like any good therapist (physical, massage, whatever) she wants you to be better 100% of the time and not have to rely on her. I thought that was great and genuine of her! Since my first session I went back one other time and afterward I felt even better than the first time. My muscles felt like I had just had an intense workout, and I went weeks without feeling any sort of knot or pain. It was truly rejuvenating and has helped me with my busy schedule of work, kids, and being active. I would definitely recommend Nicole if you are looking for some sports massage work or want just a relaxing quiet massage to ease tensions and forget the outside world. I am very picky when it comes to a finding the right massage. I am very tense and have extremely tight muscles which have resulted in lack of movement and tension headaches multiple times a week. I had my first session with Nicole a couple of weeks ago. I have some severe back pain after a good couple of crashes, racing dirt bikes. Nicole is great!! If you are looking for a therapeutic massage therapist in the South Bay look no further. I have had a handful of so-so massages since moving to San Jose 2 1/2 years ago from Southern California. Finally I have found someone who really understands the human body and how to restore range of motion. One of the things that Nicole is great at is assessing the amount of pressure you need (and can tolerate) and gradually getting to the place where your muscles will release. It provided me with instant relief from very tight hip flexors (I tweaked them doing squats). I've had the opportunity to see a good number of massage therapists this past year and I am very pleased to have found Nicole. She keeps good records of the areas she's worked on for you and along with input from you at the beginning of the visit crafts a specific plan for each session. I would strongly recommend Nicole to anybody with a workout program that leaves them sore or inflexible as an adjunct to stretching and foam rolling; Nicole will definitely get areas you cannot and keep you feeling great outside the gym. Before seeing Nicole, I'd never really given much thought to the parting words at the end of a massage that most therapists give before exiting the room: "your session is over - take as much time as you need." I really could take a good long nap at the end of all visits to Nicole and it's hard to get up and leave - the table is so comfortable and everything feels so relaxed. I have had dozens of massages from different locations in many states and countries, but Nichole from Zenith Bodywork is one of the best CMT I've gone to. She is professional, knowledgeable, informative, and precise on working on your areas of concern/pain. She is careful with providing the right pressure for what I requested and asked multiple times during the beginning of my session whether the pressure was right for me. I am every observant with every massage I get, and I can tell that every technique Nichole uses are made to help clear nods, relax my muscle and keep the blood flowing smoothly. Her technique, at least for me, was to pinpoint nods with precise finger/thumb pressure, and then do a general rub to dissipate the pain (Ok...please forgive me if I don't know the correct terms). Speaking of technique, Nicole is not predictable...meaning, she does not do one type of stroke/technique at a certain area excessively. I'm not sure, and didn't ask, but I think she uses lotion instead of oil? Or maybe a combination of both? But, a plus sign is that she does not just oil you up a ton during the massage. And on a side note, she does not smoke and does not give out an odor when she is close to me (my worst pet peeve for a masseuse). On your first visit, you will need to fill out a medical history form in which Nichole will go over as well as confirm the areas and pressure strength you want to work on. You will then be directed to a draped section to get comfortable on the massage table while Nichole goes to wash her hands. Nicole washes her hands before every session (which I hope every masseuse does) and her massage table is super comfortable with memory foam underneath. The massage "bed" is so comfortable I would fall asleep if I could, but I think you are suppose to concentrate on breathing while getting a massage. So, the big question is, are her massages any good and helpful? Umm...Heck yeah! I have been here three times in the last year (I would come more if I could create the time). Each time I visited, I had troubled areas on my shoulders and lower back, and each time after the massage, I feel like the nods/pain are primarily gone and I feel so much better. Nicole gives the requested firm pressure and I hardly or even at all feel soreness in my muscle. I feel relaxed every time I left the office. The office and location itself is not the high end "spa" like Burke Williams. There is no shower or sauna or amenities, but the room is quiet and cozy. Surrounding offices are also massage businesses. The price is very fair for a CMT with her skills. Not overpriced but also not the cheap $20-40 you get from foot massage parlors. So, if you want a great massage by an awesome masseuse, I would highly recommend booking with Nicole. Oh, btw, she has a website where you can easily see her available schedule and book online. I've booked online with ease, and you get reminders from email and text. She is also always prepared and on time. Only one last remark. More of a recommendation but doesn't necessarily hurt my experience. Many masseuses offer water after massages. I didn't ask Nichole for any, and maybe she did have water somewhere, but it would be nice to have a water dispenser and/or small bottles of water for visitors to take after a session. After spending a year in pain after a work injury and trying all kinds of different treatments (PT x 4 rounds, exercises, stretching, acupuncture, acupressure, ice, heat, chiropractor, traction, gua sha, electric stim, injections, medication, completely new, ergonomic work station) prescribed by the workers' comp doctors, I finally decided to take charge and go get a massage to see if it would help. I have seen Nicole a few times now, and my shoulder and neck area is getting better each time. I went to Nicole after being recomended by another client of hers and reading her good reviews in Yelp. I had a training injury that was making me doubtful of being able to run a half marathon scheduled for four days later but Nicole, after a pre-massage interview in which we focused on the areas I felt needed special attention, went to work. Once she reached the affected area I could felt her zeroing in the specific muscle and identifying exactly where I was hurting. Great! Needless to say, not only I was able to walk out of her studio feeling a huge relief but I also made the race. I liked how we had a post-massage recap in which we discussed the areas she found had tension and which exercises and stretches could help me relief them, along with some nutrition information. My only regret is that I booked only 75 minutes: she made them look like 10! I can't wait for my next session. read more
