I've been very happy with my new Moxie car up until today. A little backround, i purchased a fusion with moxie that previously has an issue a few years ago and the owner reached out to me specifically to address my issue. Say what you want about the commercials, that guy is a stand up man. However we have a problem! I received a call from a "Debbie" today needing pictures of my car, including the mileage and various other things, she tried calling me as i was working, which i can't answer for obvious reasons. She then reaches out to one of my contacts and sounded like she was having a nervous mental breakdown. So i call "Debbie" back and she explains what needs to be done in a tone that can only be described as confrontational and at a speed that would make an advid watcher of the show, "Gilmore girls" think she is going too fast. Between the tone and her ability to speak an impressive 2,000 words a minute we got down to the deal that she needed the pictures. I advised her that i am working and will be working for the entire week ten hour days and she is more then welcome to come take photos. Somebody tried peeling off the "moxie" sticker off my car and i asked her if she could bring some goo-gone to remove it as it doesn't look good anymore. I was as a backup going to ask her to bring another sticker to cover the damaged one. This is when she just completely blew up, she must have been having a hard day because this was not a unfriendly call. She then stated that she had called me "dozens of times", which i plainly told her that is NOT true. Caller id in 2020 works well along with Verizon records of every call that you have sent and received. I looked it over after she shamed me for being an ungrateful/lazy/bad customer and this friendly woman had called me twice. Once back in July, and once today. I do not like being called a liar and made out to be some sort of scumbag so naturally, i did not take too kindly to this. I dropped it as she fumed into the phone that she is coming by my house in two hours, i am a bit terrified to meet this woman as if she cannot handle her anger over a simple phone call what will happen if i am not waiting outside for her? I was told at the time of purchase there was an extra key being made and i told her she should bring that just in case i'm not out there right away, to which she informed me there was no extra key, there was no promise of an extra key, and titled herself as, "The Keeper of the keys". I've made all my payments on time, i'm not a problem customer, and generally have nice things to say about Moxie, but this one employee is enough to make me never want to return. People who are so quick to finger point, and lose there cool at something as simple as a missed phone call should not be in a position where they talk to customers. This is a bit sad for me because i previously held moxie as a great place to help people get cars, but i didn't know they would send somebody like that to people who pay there bills and don't cause a stir. She will be here in a few hours, and i for one am a bit scared. Wish me luck. read more

I drove all the way from Lawrence, KS to get a car here because a friend recently had a great experience and recommended I come up and check them out. After browsing their website, I found something that caught my eye and their friendly staff helped me get an appointment for a test drive. They're staff is friendly and made car buying a great experience. I haven't bought a car since 2006 so I was definitely leery after not having a car payment for so long but they're prices made it worth it and really made me feel comfortable getting the car I was scouting out. As soon as I walked in the doors I was greeted with smiles and kind hello's. I even got to meet the owner Tim Bunn! I felt comfortable right away. I told them what I was hoping to find, what I could afford, where I currently was financially and I told them about the 08 vehicle I was in and how much I still owed. I am proud to say I got out of my 08 and I am driving a nice 2013 ford escape with LOWER payments than the 08. I have had NO issues with my vehicle and I absolutely love it. This was my first "car buying" experience so these words are from a novice - but I only have good things to say about this place. It looked nice and was clean and easy enough to find. I was able to set up an appointment over the phone which helped get over the awkwardness of just wandering around the car lot. (which I did in a couple of other places) I had heard the ads on the radio and thought it sounded like a place to start. I was able to work with Chris to trade in my car and he was super helpful. Amazing service!!! I took my vehicle to Moxie to get a couple of parts replaced. The service department did an fantastic job!! I was immidiately greeted with a smile from the nice lady at the counter. After taking my keys she showed me to the waiting lounge that had great refreshments and popcorn available. The building was super clean and updated. Overall it was a very welcoming atmosphere! After finishing my vehicle they gave me a full break down of exactly what they did as well as pointed out some maintenance pointers to keep in mind for the future. I 100% recommend the Moxie service center if you have any problems with your current vehicle. They treated me like a friend and I completely trust them with all of my future vehicle needs. Hi Tim!! I felt my customer service was great but what you guys did with my loan was very shifty. I came in with a person to help explain things to me and you told me i was approved for a loan at 2.9%. We signed and then I was told I needed to come back and sign some things. A different guy helped me and Frenchie wasn't there but I was told it was just a different lender. I was told the payment was the same and the only difference was that I would lose my GAP coverage. Well that wasn't the difference. My interest rate now is 10.9% . I didnt realize till a month later bc the person who helped me rushed through paperwork and assured me the GAP coverage was the only thing changing. My payment is $417 so bc of the high interest like $223 goes towards my principle and the rest is interest. I definitely should have been advised that I was going to end up paying 40,000 for my car over the years. I've gone to 3 dealerships in the last month to try and trade in and every single person helping me has said that they hear this about you a lot. Because of the interest i am just more and more upside down on my car loan. Over the past yr I've only put a $2600 dent in my principle but paid almost $5000. You would NEVER but one of your own kids in this kind of financial situation. We sat and chatted for like an hour and you made it seem like you were helping me. Wolf is sheep's clothing honestly. Also, I am friends with 2 people who have worked for you in the last 3 years and they both say the same thing. You are so nice but they couldn't keep working there bc they felt like bad people bc they understand they are financially screwing people. read more

I have so far had an amazing experience with this place. I filled out a request online and got a call within 2 hrs asking if I was looking to buy a car. I said I would be there around 3pm, but due to delays was only on the way there at that time. At 4pm I got another call asking if I was still wanting to come up that day or another day and they were very understanding about the delay. I had came with the intention of buying a newer car since I have some credit issues and have never actually owned a car of my own, and Kris Mortensen was the salesman helping me. We talked about what was most important to me and he set up my credit application. When he came back he took me to see a car that matched what I wanted and had been approved for and it was a 2018, never owned mirage. Even after filling everything out they found an even better car for me and worked with me to make sure the payment would be in my price range and then reset all the paperwork. Despite me keeping them there over an hour after they closed, they were all incredibly nice, and today even called to go over a few more things and ensure that I am set to go. I love my new 2018 eclipse cross, and I most definitely am a customer for life if this is any indication of their customer service. read more

Well, I gave it 1 star just cause I had to write this review. Needless to say this company will have only spoken to me by phone and will never earn my business and has pushed me away from doing business with them. In the last 15 minutes I have received 3 calls and a text from them all wanting the same information. I told the very first person that I spoke with that I do not want to be pushed and rushed to making my vehicle purchase. These people are the reason as to why car salesman/women get a bad rap. I've been there, done that. And for that reason I'm out. Well I see I got a response from Chris. I appreciate your response, and the response that I feel you gave is invalid. You were rated off of how I was approached by your company sales tactics. I indicated several times to your sales reps that I did not want to be pressured. Pressure is all I received by them. 3 phone calls and numerous text messages in 15 minutes is a little obnoxious. "dealer for the people" I am sure since you would like to just harass them to the point where they eventually just give up and come in or they get to the point where they post reviews like this for all to see. I received a card in the mail from Moxie and when I opened it, it said I had won a 60" tv. I thought it was junk mail or a scam and was too good to be true, so I called Moxie and they said it was true if it says I won a tv, I just had to come in and pick it up. When I arrived, there were at least 30 others already there that received the same card I did. So I waited in line just for a sales guy to get my information and try to sell me a car. They gave me a brochure to fill out and mail in for a gift card, but I thought it was another scam, so I trashed it. It seems to me this was a desperate attempt to trick people into coming into the store. It was a complete waste of my time and I will never be returning to moxie. read more

The customer service is great. Evrryone there is friendly and helpful. This review is based solely on the product. issues with the car on day 2 (that i didn't notice during the test drive ). I have 4 kids at home and my only vehicle just gave out on me, so they knew I was desperate. I called on day 2. Due to the holiday, no mechanics, so I had to wait til day 5 to take it in. This was the worst car buying experience ever!!!!!! First was promised a warranty, later found was as is. Next told sales person of clicking sounds, his response was those cars all do that. Advised by sales person they had to let go their mechanic because he was cutting corners. Was assured by sales person any issues would be taken care of. Took car to mechanic and was told the wheel bearings were so bad he would not drive the car at all until fixed. The fan gears are all stripped, hydraulic lifter going out, not even brake fluid in the car. 4 lights were out. All should have been taken care of before on sales floor. Doing formal complaint to the Better Business bureau now. DO NOT BUY A CAR WITH MOXIE!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT AT SOME POINT. they don't follow through with their word. By far the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. Got a call and was told they needed to talk to me. Called back and was asked if they could get me in to look at a new car, I had just bought a car for them a week ago. The. Got another call and was asked to call back, called back and was asked the same question (eye roll). Then resorted to texting the sales person, never have I ever had to text someone's personal phone to get ahold of them in a "professional" setting. Found out a week after I bought the car that they needed some more forms and insurance info and they needed me to call the bank by 5 pm that day, it was 3:30. I have a job I love where we work hard and very seldom get breaks to make personal phone calls. They harassed me from 3:30 to 6 pm calling/texting my cell phone and my job. I will never in my life do business with them again and neither will my parents, friends or coworkers simply for the way they saw my phone going off. Really just unprofessional. read more

I purchased a truck from them June 26, 202. Last week we went to get the tags and pay the taxes on this truck. They had not sent the title. We called and the lady named Deb stated that it must have gotten lost in the mail and she would check into it. I called this morning to speak with her about this title that had not been delivered to the assessors office. She stated, "I will have to go check the mail, I have only been here for about 16 minutes." WOW!!! She copped an attitude about it and was not very open or did not explain things very well. She was going to look into it.....again. I asked for a manager after she accused me of being rude and was going to hang up on me. If she had taken the time to explain this process (which should have never happened) I would have been fine. The manager did explain better and reassured that the title would be in York today. After awhile, this lady, Deb, called my son, NOT ME, to tell him she was having the title taken to York and he would need to be there to sign the title as well. She knew he was working and I told her this. I never got a phone call back from here at all. Long story short, I'm waiting to go down to receive the title to a truck that I bought over a month ago. I know I am not the only one that has had problems with this Deb and her behavior and inappropriate attitude with customers. If she had not acted the way she had, I would recommend them. I will never buy from them again due to the fact that Deb, the title lady, does not know how to do her job, nor does she understand the meaning of customer service. One person can make a bad experience for a business. they need to get rid of her. read more

My son talked me into taking him to Moxie to look at cars. I'll spare you our story but simply suggest not even bothering with them. Based on our information they told us how much the monthly payments would be and how long we would be paying for on the vehicle. Then they told us which car we qualified for. I was not impressed and told them we would not be purchasing a vehicle from them. They worked harder than an old-time carny trying to scam me out of my last dollar to get me to buy. Do not go there to purchase a vehicle. I regret stepping through the doors and talking to the golden tongue salesman who falsed advertised the vehicle I purchased. I was excited to be approved yes but i also asked questions at the time of purchase the 2016 Jeep Patriot i got did not come with an AC unit, as I was told it had but now here in summer I took it in to get the ac serviced only to find it dose not in fact have one. Not good! I went to moxie as I heard a commercial on the radio not only do they help people with damaged credit but they also will take your trade-in and pay off whatever is left. I was in a bad situation with a car that I had purchased two months ago that broke down on me. So when I went there I filled out their credit application and said you do not sell my stuff to third-party correct?? I'm not going to have a bunch of inquiries correct??? the salesperson looked at me and said oh no we don't do that lo and behold six inquires on my credit....6!! To top it all off they didn't even help me couldn't tell me why they couldn't help me just kind of stood around then came back over and said sorry we can't send you a home in a car today and that was how it was. No reason no explanation nothing. So severely disappointed in this place and so severely disappointed I was lied to about how many times my credit would be checked by various agencies that I didn't apply for anything with however it appears it was applied for me on my behalf! read more

When I was looking for a vehicle, they incessantly called both my phone numbers, despite me blocking 3 different numbers from there and letting them know i only wanted to look at the inventory. If you're going to look online, do yourself a favor and use someone you don't like's phone number... because they are relentless with the phone calls. I looked at a dozen other places and got a few, very pleasant emails from them. That's the way to do it. That being said, i've heard half decent things about the actual business so I can't in good conscience give them a terrible review. Also the commercials annoy everyone in Lincoln, Tim. My experience at this car dealership was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I went in there thinking that they were for the people, I sat down telling them what I wanted and right away I was told that what I want is not possible, even though I have done my research on Kelley Blue Book and know what I am looking for is possible. I then was pushed into a car that I was not comfortable with as they were showing me the car they were putting me down along with trying to talk the car up. They did not listen to what I wanted and made really rude comments about my car. All in all my experience with this car lot was not good! I will say the car that they said that was a "unicorn, in the car selling world" that did not exist. I actually found right down the road at an another amazing dealership, for the price I actually wanted. Can u give negative stars I had to go all the way to a Kia dealership in council bluffs to buy a car because these people would not work at all. I filled out everything online then made appointment with them. I was very specific about what I needed and wanted then the sales person supposedly asked then he told me I would have to do the things I said I couldn't and wouldn't do. Therefore they wasted my time and in the end they lost money cause I bought a 2017 Kia Optima from Edwards Kia and I'm so happy the process was so smooth and the sales person Aaron is a fellow veteran so go to them support a veteran and get great service. At moxie afterwards I told them I thought they falsely advertised and the sales person pretty much told me off in an email. I'm never going to use them and hope that others do the same it isn't right to lead people on it's tough enough having bad credit. My Sales person Aaron at Edwards Kia went above and beyond to help me get out of a bad situation and rebuild my credit. He was patient understanding and knowledgeable. I haven't had customer service like this in years. If you're in doubt or you feel like you have no choice realize that you do just go see Aaron he won't lie to you, works for you and with you. read more

I feel very unhappy about my recent experience here. We went and got pre-approved at a bank and then when we went here the sales lady said we couldn't use that loan and instead had to do financing through them. We should have left at that point. I specifically told her that we did not want to have our credit ran a bunch of times and she didn't listen and they ended up running it 3 times, again this is after we had already gotten approved through a bank on our own. Again, stupid that we did not leave but I felt pressured to stay and purchase the car. I feel like we overpaid for the car we got and got talked into stuff we didn't need.
