While not really a 5-star, I'm rounding up just to give a true experience compared to the sad reviews currently here. Lessons learned: don't park a car here; expect to walk a quarter mile; anticipate the normal Moxy mojo. But otherwise it's a fine airport-hotel experience when you're not paying 3x prices for someplace you probably are leaving before dawn to catch the early flight. There's a nice gathering space in the lobby, with good food/drink selection and a few choices on tap. No Michelin stars but you'll eat. Play some billiards or relax in many chairs. It could be a little warmer, but don't mind the Southerner who doesn't think "cold and damp" is normal. The rooms are Moxy-esque and will get you a night's sleep as advertised. There's a walkway halfway covered, the rest open-air, so you folks with the steamer trunks won't be happy walking the distance. Also don't park here, since it's one of the 100% of airport hotels that don't have any free parking. Come on folks. Then if we can avoid another world pandemic type situation and you don't need a refund, maybe this place will get a couple 3-star reviews from y'all. The other people staying here tonight all seemed happy. But maybe one of them had a car parked.

Only stayed here because had early flight in morning. Should have read the Yelp reviews first! When reading about the parking issue, made sure no problem while checking in. You check in at the bar. The lobby is a big ugly noisy space with concrete floor. A monstrosity of decor. The colors are purple and grey. It is truly hideous. I'm sure the idea is to give it a fresh, hip look but the truth is it's very low service hotel for a fairly high price. No freebies such as coffee in the morning. No phone in room, so I had to go downstairs to report drain problem in shower. Room is OK, comfortable, clean. Weird lighting. For example there is motion detected lighting under the bed so when you get up in the middle of the night it lights up. In a way this is cool but my husband hates it because it woke him up when I got out of bed. The breakfast was £15 so we skipped. Important: there is no shuttle to the airport. Was told, "It's only a 10 minute walk!" Easier said than done. Shlepping with multiple suitcases across a dicey route is no fun and I can't imagine what it would be like in cold or rainy weather. A cab is expensive.

The White Lady - Und wenn es ans Übernachten geht: Die Zimmer sind sehr praktisch ausgestattet und mit einer Portion Kitsch dekoriert

The place is a clone of all other Wetherspoon pubs across the whole UK - it was foolish to think that there might be any uniqueness to this place. It is now very expansive inside, think Standing Order tables and decor. For a Sunday afternoon it was completely rammed with loud, drunken louts taking advantage of the cheap drinks on offer. I've never seen so much fake tan and exposed belly on show on a Sunday avo - what a disaster. This is the last place I would ever look to visit in the Corstorphine area for a quiet Sunday lunch. Food was typical Wetherspoon's fare. After waiting a ridiculous 20 minutes, a lentil and bacon soup arrived that had the consistency and look of fresh sick. Upon requesting a change to tomato due to the vomity consistency and chunderous smell, we were informed there would be another 20 minute wait. For one bowl of soup. What were the chefs doing? Growing and then pureeing tomatoes from scratch?! Anyway. This place is not for me. If you want a cheap, loud watering hole for a bit of boozing and like an ogle at badly fake-tanned bulbous bellies then it's probably for you.

So why only 3 stars I hear you ask.... Probably because it comes with no thrills and lacks of originality. The decor is common, the service is OK, the drinks are just what you would expect them to be but that's what I expect from a chain pub and that's OK if you want a night out without burning a hole in your wallet. Also it has a good outside area with table and outside heaters which comes very handy on a Scottish sunny day.
