Speaking directly about the services of Dr. Moyer, I really like Moyer Total Wellness. I've seen him a couple of times now and have always gotten relief from my chronic neck pain. I actually like his approach versus many chiros. For maintenence, he recommends once per month. For new patients not in chiropractic care, he recommends once every two weeks or as needed versus many others that recommend at least 3 times per week. This means you might actually be able to fit it into your budget. I also enjoy that he uses several different modalities to deal with pain. Adjustments, ultrasound, and active release. I also started seeing a nutritionist there, so far with GREAT results. Over 10lbs lost in 6 weeks. While it takes hard work from the patient side, there's definitely something to her method. read more

I've gone to Moyer off and on over the years, but recently decided on an annual membership simply due to the AMAZING touch of their (MY!) massage therapist, Kim E. In speaking with Kim about her prior massage experience, she indicated that she is "spa trained". What this translates as to me is: WOW!!! I've never felt as if I were absolutely about to fall asleep during massages before - as if I am in another place.....a very blissful and calm place. I've also never felt many of the massage strokes that she uses - an amazing combination of necessary work on troubled areas, but always ending in relaxation. Of note: I have NEVER ended my many massages with Kim suffering from what I call "Cabbage Patch doll face".....that annoying puffing up of your eyes (and sinuses) where your entire head feels swollen from laying face down the first 1/2 of your massage. I attribute this to her specialized "spa" technique :) Whatever it is, I'm grateful that I'm able to run errands or grab lunch after I leave MTS, without Cabbage Patch face! I received one of the best massages ever from Jennifer Swift. She was very knowledgeable (more than most other massage therapists I have seen) and gave me some suggestions on how I could improve my back pain as well as informed me what I needed to stop doing (I was hurting myself more than helping myself). She has an intuitive touch and focused on what my body needed instead doing the typical "cookie cutter" massage. The work she did on me was specific and deep but also therapeutic. I have been a customer at Moyer Total Wellness for the past year and have never been disappointed. I have received both massage and chiro services at Moyer. Massage: As with most things in life, finding a great massage therapist is all about communication. I have seen four different therapists at Moyer and each has had their own style, strengths, and areas of growth. However, I have constantly been pleased with each therapist, the level of service, and the overall experience. My last massage was absolutely the best. Katie not only provided some aromatherapy to get me relaxed, but she talked me through different stretches and ways to relieve some of my issues on my own. She was phenomenal. Chiro: Dr. Moyer is wonderful. He has always taken great care with me, including using heat and stretching to help with my adjustments. He has also remembered key details about my work, which I know must be challenging when working with so many clients. He also talks through stretches and ways to take care of yourself so that you aren't scheduling a session every week. The new receptionist is extremely friendly and effective at her job. On the downside, the massage therapists seem to leave often so when I find the best massage and ask for that person, they usually seem to have moved on. Nature of the business? Of the dozen or so places that we've tried, Moyer provides the best massages and at a very reasonable price. The staff are very knowledgeable and provide the perfect amount of pressure. I received a gift certificate to Moyer Total Wellness for Christmas. Called to schedule a sports massage shortly after receiving it. They seem to be relatively busy and I had to wait a week to get in, but it was totally worth it! I saw Mari and she did a fantastic job listening to my requests and responding to them. Her pressure was great and exactly what I was after. She also made some suggestions about stretching more often and areas of my body that were especially tight. I left feeling relaxed and less fatigued. Very impressed. I decided after my massage to sign up for the Year of Wellness, so I'll get $40 massages for an entire year, as often as I want. I am looking forward to getting into a monthly routine here. *The previous reviews on here made me a little nervous, but I wasn't all that concerned since I had a gift card. My body requires deep tissue because of my lifestyle. It has been very hard to find a deep tissue therapist who can work on me and Moyer has Katie Maxwell. Super sweet and friendly girl as well as excellent at deep tissue. Not only will she talk to me of what she is doing she will also recommend holistic remedies that will help with the issue, or stretches i should focus on. I love Moyer Total Wellness. I have been going here regularly for about 2 years now. Dr. Moyer is one of the kindest persons I have ever worked with. I use to get terrible migraines, but they have almost disappeared since seeing Dr. Moyer on a monthly basis. When I'm there, I feel like Dr. Moyer cares more about me as his patient than he does a profit. I've been going exclusively to Moyer Wellness for massages since being introduced to them through Groupon over two years ago and I'm a huge fan of the hard working therapists here! Since I started, they've started adding more services for yoga and skin care that I haven't used. I always come here for the value of the massages. I've had great experiences with most of the massage therapists so I never need to go anywhere else. Other likes: - Easy online booking system. The only annoyance with the booking system is you have to request a time and sometimes it will get denied even though it looks available in their system. It's not a big problem most of the time. - Great value for the money. They will often run specials in addition to Groupon. - Flexible weeknight and weekend times. - A lot of massage therapists to choose from. Everyone has their own favorites. read more

I came here on a Groupon deal, and I am glad I did. This is possibly the best massage I've had. Haley is amazing: her personality puts you immediately at ease. She's kind, warm and easygoing, plus she gives a great massage. I love that they have you fill out a form ahead of time that indicates how much conversation you like (I like the bare minimum). That way, you can relax knowing you won't be pulled into a conversation if you don't want. Haley has great hands - she really gets the knots worked out, or can relax you into nearly a coma, whatever it is you're looking for. I'm so glad I found a place where I can get a massage for a reasonable price ($40 since I a member) and plan to go as much as I can. The clinic is designed around a whole body change - you can get chiropractic work and see a nutritionist, as well as visit with personal trainers - but I have not taken advantage of those services yet. Right now I'm concentrating on massage! I truly have no complaints: this is a wonderful place to relax. A bit out of the way, but totally worth it. The atmosphere isn't like a spa - it's a "doctor's office" but the massage rooms are nicely decorated, with relaxing music, good use of nice massage oils and (my favorite) heated tables. Found Moyer Total Wellness through a Groupon. Went there for a prenatal massage with Sarah and enjoyed her massage, the facilities, and the price. I then got an email for an offer with the same (discounted) price for a massage, so I booked another appointment. I was again treated well and enjoyed my time. I asked (spur of the moment) if Dr. Moyer had the time to see me. He whisked me into his office without an appointment to discuss chiropractic care during pregnancy (I was pregnant at the time). I have since seen him for a few adjustments and really like his approach, "bedside" manner, and the way he customizes the treatment for me specifically (instead of "crack, crack, see ya!"). I bought the yearly membership and don't regret it. I recently saw Leslie for a deep tissue massage (now that I can get one since I'm no longer pregnant), and she was incredible. I've had lots of issues with my back and pelvis since I was a child and have had plenty of massages and chiropractic work. Sam is by far THE BEST massage therapist who has ever worked on me. She pays attention to details, uses heat, aroma therapy, and gave me advice on yoga poses to help with my pelvis. Today I had a massage scheduled and was feeling nauseated from something I ate and she used ginger oil aroma therapy and my nausea was gone right away. She also gave me a tea packet for nausea before I left. So sweet! And also just her massage skills alone were enough to deem it the best massage of my life. Very talented. As for chiropractic work, Dr Moyer is fantastic and my favorite chiropractor so far. He has used stretching, pressure, cupping, and ultrasound waves on me in addition to adjustments, which all have helped a great deal. I have rods in half of my spine and I'm never afraid for him to adjust me. He is professional and makes me feel comfortable. Also gave me some exercises and stretches to do at home specific to my problem areas. The girls at the reception desk are always super friendly and professional as well. Highly recommend trying out this place! Especially if you are new to the whole chiropractor idea or hesitant to try chiropractic care. Dr. Moyer and the rest of the team at MTW are some of my favorite people (like, anywhere, so completely top of my body work list). I was a member years ago because the massage staff were reliably good and the massages were very affordable (especially if you have a membership). Then I got into a car accident and needed to try out chiropractic care for the first time. Before returning to MTW, I went to one chiropractor who only saw me for a handful of minutes each visit, and another whose eyes glittered each time I mentioned the car accident who immediately gave me the card of his lawyer friend (blech). By contrast, Dr. Moyer is a curious, empathetic listener who really wants to get to the root of what's going on in your body. He put together a comprehensive but flexible treatment plan for me that includes chiropractic care, acupuncture and massage. He constantly checks in to make sure things are improving and changes course if not. Although I've seen many providers, and they're all good, Brooke (acupuncture) and Scott (massage) have particularly magic touches for me. All of the care there is wonderful, rational, proactive, caring, and efficient. Through 2020-2021 they have been extremely safe and vigilant in dealing with COVID-19. Wow, is all I can say. I was at a previous chiropractor that I had been seeing for 2 months, and was not happy with the service or results and was lucky to find Dr. Moyer. I saw drastic improvement right away. He is a great communicator, and educates you about your body along the way. His philosophy is less is more. My husband got me this deal through Bloomspot. It's been my experience in the past that chiropractic offices aren't the best places for relaxing massages - their MTs are better suited to cranking out knots and digging out the tension. But hey, one massage is better than no massage, right? Wrong. I had a feeling that it would be weird when I went to the bathroom - the practice is in an office building, and the bathrooms are the usual generic office building bathrooms. I noticed someone sneak in right as I left - I could see her bare feet underneath the stall. Bare feet. In a public bathroom. It was gross when Britney Spears did it, even grosser when done by someone who may come in close physical contact with my person. I saw the feet and thought "I betcha that's a massage therapist." Sure enough, my MT padded towards me in the same pink-toed bare feet that had just trod on the filthy bathroom floor. She was clear from the start that she didn't do relaxing massages very well. It wasn't a condition on the Bloomspot deal that it had to be a vigorous sports massage, so I was unsure as to whether I should feel bad about asking for the light 'n easy. I know she tried her best, but DAMN it was a vigorous rubdown. I was worried at a few points that the massage table would collapse under the movement - and thus what should have been a blissful massage was ruined by the worry that the table would fall and a stranger would see my bits and pieces flung everywhere. Most unflattering, no? The MT also DIDN'T. STOP. TALKING. Why ask my preference on the check-in sheet and then put me with an MT who does the opposite? I wanted utter silence beyond basic information. Not this time, fellow Yelpsters. I found out about her mother forcing her to play piano for three years, how she discovered that massage is a calling, why raggae doesn't make good massage music (WTF?), the traffic on Colorado Blvd, etc. I hated that she forced me to be rude and grunt back at her, but I marked no talking and damned if at least one of us wasn't going to adhere. To make matters worse, the music cut off halfway through the massage - her voice was the only sound in my ear for fifteen minutes. After the massage, she asked "Did I do ok? Did it feel good?" I felt like a high school football player getting lucky at prom, ya know? I put on my clothes and bolted, never to return. I know I can be a tad critical, but I've never had a more uncomfortable massage in my life. If you want a good one, hit up A New Spirit in the Highlands. I paid 200$ for the couple deluxe massage, I got so confident to read the description and what does it include, but honestly is just a waste of money the "bath foot" they offered you is just regular hot water without salt or any other kind of aromatherapy! you just sit there in a bench for 15min whitout the tea or the drink that suppose to include! In the description also says that you get in their great robes... I though that the robes will be kind of heated or something but nah.! Regular robes you can find in Ross!!! Tried to book a female for my husband the system declined it, tried to call and no one answered, booked with someone else for 7 because I wanted to ensure my husband got a massage. They confirmed. Then called and asked if they could move it to a "little" earlier which was 5:30. We obliged. I was a new client (had a groupon) and they messed up my appointment, and no one was available to give me a massage. The chiro appointment was good. The Doc took a holistic approach and said that while massage and chiro therapy could help, the most important aspect of treatment is posture correction and strength training. He showed me some exercises to do. Even though there are multiple massage therapists, the overall feel of the office was like a doctor's office, and not as relaxing as I hoped. But, if you're going just for a chiro appointment, this shouldn't matter. read more
