Service has been good It's a nice place inside. I started off with the egg flour soup. Totally lacking flavor and awfully thick soy sauce did not even help It I also had hot tea which is fantastic. Tried the Sushi roll spicy tuna was not totally rolled, it fell apart good flavor though.... Finished with the Moy's special chow mein so far so good. It's pretty good. Got a lot of vegetables and shrimp and Raman noodles..... don't get any of the Chinese places get real noodles? Keep those crunchy things those are for white people people don't know Chinese food.. Moy's Dynasty is by far the best Chinese restaurant in La Grande, eclipsing Golden Crown completely. While they mostly cater to customers that only like Americanized chinese dishes (which are quite delicious if that's what you're into), many of the more authentic selections are fantastic as well. The staff are always so friendly, helpful and efficient, the hot tea is strong and satisfying, and getting takeout is always excellent. read more

First impression walking up to front door...building is awful, grounds around weedy, trash around....ugh. Took awhile to get greeted at front but finally seated. They have a nice happy hour and offer tea! Food is so marginal...mostly fried....this wasn't what we expected ..... did not fancy our taste buds!! read more

Mediocre food for mediocre people. If you're a farmer and you think you know what good Chinese food is, you will probably love this place. If you love bean sprouts (which they probably sprout themselves because it's cheap), you will love this place. But this isn't authentic Chinese. It's white man Chinese. And everything is done on the cheap. I asked about some substitutions and they wanted to charge me for everything. They didn't even seem to put cabbage in their dishes. We certainly got huge mounds of rice, but virtually nothing was in my pork fried rice. Just a few pieces of pork and a few tiny pieces of egg. Everything was BLAND. The broccoli was limp, but not exactly cooked. Pork was over cooked and dry. Chicken was mushy. We will not go back. Very disappointing meal. During COVID: they aren't doing 6 foot separation in their dining room. they were using all their booths and someone was sitting directly behind me - 2 feet away. Ugggh. read more

Great little local location for a small town that has several other Asian fusion options. I love their Chinese cuisine the best, as I do not care much for their sushi. Their classic combinations are excellent and priced well. They also have delivery, although I haven't used it. During the pandemic they have been super cautious in ensuring that they follow all safety protocols even taking extra precautions beyond the mandates. If you need a "fast food" type Chinese fix this is a great place for it! They are also huge supporters of the community often offering discounts for various events. read more

This was is an amazing place - pot sticker filling was amazing, but skins were a bit thick, then the Tuna Tataki was a home run, and General Tso's Chicken was perfect, but the veggies were a bit over cooked. This time our family ordered Crab puffs, Seafood Udon, Szechuan Beef, Kung Pao Beef, General Tso's Chicken, and Noodles with Beef Gravy, all for takeout. The good: The crab puffs were well done, the soup was good and the szechuan beef was pretty tasty. The bad: It went downhill from there. General Tso's chicken was an overly sweet, over-sauced, soggy mess. Kung Pao beef had littlt heat and less flavor, and the noodles weren't in the bag when we got home. So we're in LaGrande, OR visiting my Aunt Minnie's church Wayside COGIC and we get hungry. We're on our way through to Baker and we stop in for dinner. First thing: the menu is HUGE! So many dishes, I'm skeptical they can be good. I started with baked mussels that were so juicy, so tasty I could have licked the plate. I didn't, calm down. Next was chicken and vegetables. The service was outstanding and the servers themselves were extremely polite and professional. I had the Kung Po and the wife had the Sweet & Sour both dishes were quite nice. The only drawback on the Kung Po was the overuse of vegetables, but not a deal breaker. The spice was great and not too hot. Best potstickers in town! I have ordered delivery and ever time it has been delivered faster than the given estimate. I love this! And I got to say the estimated time is not unreasonable either. They are always willing to make changes for a picky kid who hates mushrooms in her stir fry veggies and no onions in the veggie sushi roll mom! Beyond fantastic! After several years of failed attempts of ordering and receiving good service from Golden Crown (Asian Fusion), Moy's has been to the rescue! The service is quick and friendly. The sushi is better than other locations in La Grande. Slowly working our way through the sushi menu, but had the fried rice as well and it's better than other competitors. The service was excellent and the family operated group were so sweet and so friendly it made it a passable experience. The food.... not so much. To be fair... we ordered the daily special. Were these other reviewers with only one review each paid by Moy's for five stars? Hmmm... Lots of advertising for Top 100 Chinese restaurants all over the place, but be forewarned. It hasn't earned this distinction, it is merely hoping you will go online and vote for it! This is not at all authentic Chinese cuisine, although I do love that they automatically serve you tea. It seems no one does these days. There are so many lunch specials and combos that they are clearly guiding you to, being that they are really all the same thing and are cheap and easy to put out. I think you are better off ordering off the menu. Our appetizers (just off the menu) of spring rolls and potstickers were the best things we ordered. Everything else (anything that shows up as a combo) is really the same fried piece of chicken or pork with a new sauce... Think sweet and sour, orange, etc. Most unappetizing was the chow mein. I'm expecting noodles, but here is the true American version of "mein": those crunchy canned La Choy "chow mein" twigs covered in a heap of bland pasty white vegetables (bean sprouts, celery, etc.). And it is this odd unctuous yet cloying consistency that every sauce has. A little heavy handed with the corn syrup and cornstarch methinks. Egg foo young and szechuan beef were decent. I've been in La Grande for a few years now, and last night myself and a group of friends decided to try this place for the first time. Needless to say it was far from spectacular. We arrived 1 hour before they were supposed to close and were greeted by management questioning whether to seat us or not. Our server on the other hand was decent, timely, and filled any request we had very quickly. As for the food, looking at all the orders in my group I can say it seemed underwhelming. My main dish was particularly bland, with the exception of my egg roll that was so overcooked it was blackened on the inside. I wouldn't outright avoid this place in the future, but for a first time experience I was far from impressed, mostly by the rudeness of the management pretty much to our faces. read more

The previous 3 star review almost scared me away, but me and my gf decided to try anyway. I had the Mandarin chicken and she had the chicken stir fry. Her meal was by far better than mine. Mine was too much of the same thing, not enough variety. And no one in this town knows hot to make proper white rice. All the white rice in this town is extremely dry. Sorry about that tangent, but the chicken stir fry was real good. Great flavor. Both of our meals were very generous sized portions for a cheap price. In regards to the record that almost scared me away, none of the food that we had was grisly. Yes it was slightly greasy but that was ok for me. Very friendly staff and the establishment was very clean, hell I ate off the tables and the wait time was noon existent unlike the Bangkok restaurant, I think it'd Bangkok east. The only troubling thing I had on this experience was.....My fortune cookie had no fortune in it. read more

So I just ordered $75 of food from Moy's Dynasty in La Grande for delivery. They crammed four orders of rice, that comes with the entree, into one big box. I'm not a math expert, but when it comes individually, it seems that those little boxes are bigger than a quarter size of the big box. If there is a next time, which there won't be, I'd suggest you just spend the extra 10¢ and box it individually, especially if someone spends $75! And yes I did call and bring this to their attention. read more

I went here tonight with my family and now I remember why we quit going there. It's more like fried warmed up slop than Chinese food. I tried the shrimp and scollops with vegetables that is on the "healthy" menu and it had zero flavor. The General Tso's chicken is the worst I have ever had and my son wouldn't touch most of his dinner (he's generally a very good eater). I was so disgusted at having to pay for what we got. We will not be going here again. Also they are not actually one of the top 100 Chinese Menu restaurants they just want you to vote for them. Uh no. My husband and I went here for date night, and was hugely disappointed. The food was generic and grissle-ly. I ordered the orange chicken and the chicken was so hard to eat, full of grissle and overly sweet. We love Moy's. I grew up in LaGrande and my folks still live in town and we make it a point to go out to "Moy's' every visit. Because of that I end up eating there at least half a dozen times a year and it's always consistently great. The service is always prompt and courteous (you're never left wondering where the help went like some other places in town). We always stick to the "Chinese" dishes. Mom and dad always order and share a couple chicken dishes (usually Kung Pao or General Tso) and love them. My spouse and I are vegetarian and love their meatless egg fu young and our vegetable & tofu dishes are always scrumptious. This last visit my dad had a "pick 3" lunch plate (my mom couldn't join us so no family style) and we had our usual veg options. My dad's lunch plate was huge for the price. My spouse was "you need to yelp them" finally getting around to it I'm puzzled by the clunker reviews because we have never had a bad experience. read more
