Cute little diner style place, only open for breakfast and lunch. Definitely feels like a mom and pop type place, full of personality and history. Our server was super friendly and the food was delicious. I will definitely go back when I'm in town.

Overall, this was a great breakfast. We got a nice table in the back, so it was easy to talk. The food was all really good. The cinnamon roll was in an odd spot on the menu, so I'm glad I saw it. It was soft and gooey. Maybe a little too much frosting, but it was fantastic. My major beef is that the coffee cups are thimbles. The server did a great job of keeping them filled, but you could empty one in two sips. Thank you for a great meal to start the day!

I would say this is a hidden gem but it's not hidden in fact it's on the main drag. When you read the name one would think smoke house they'll have smoked meats, right! Well they don't but what this place has is great waitresses staff and a cook who knows how to layout some top of the line breakfast's. Not many places now a days have hand shredded hash browns from potatoes cooked the day beforehand an cooled for the next days hash browns nor do many places offer sausage gravy made like granny either. I had their taco omelette with coffee. I couldn't get a picture of my wife's breakfast cuz she was in it before I could get a picture so here's mine. I asked to add jalapeño no problem with no extra charges like in most other places. La Grande, Oregon has really friendly people it's a ranchers town so if you're one of those Greenies who think cattle are necessary then pass on through! If you're offended with that well build a bridge and get over it! Eat beef you'll be glad you did. I'll stop at any mom and pop place to meet real people with good food and menu stuff that feed Americans.

A good stop on our long trip. The philly was delicious and the bread they used was amazing. Definitely worth the stop.

Great chicken strips and tots! Staff were very friendly and attentive. The clam chowder was bland and tasted like flour.

From our table, we could see two different shows: Bluey for the kids and Bob Ross for the adults. Some of the menu lettering was a little small, but it was okay. It was a bit hard to get there because the GPS location was incorrect in our system, and we almost missed it. Also, the arcade sadly wasn't there anymore. However, the service was fast, and both the waitress and staff were very friendly. The burgers were bomb. If you're a pickle lover, the dill pickle ranch is definitely for you. The mac and cheese was pretty good, and the fries were good too--just a little salty in my opinion. When we left, we accidentally left some mozzarella sticks, and a staff member brought it to us! Overall, it's a very casual and nice place.

My son, who lives in Pendleton, told me I had to check this place out on my short visit and brought…read moreme here. I do love me some meat! So I said, "you better take me there." So we did. As soon as I walked in I was in heaven with this carnivore promoting meat market / butcher shop! They had some great looking fresh meats behind the counter at reasonable prices, an area with beef jerky and dried sausage sticks, and a freezer area with a multitude of sausages and other frozen items (rabbit, bison, et al). They had such a wide variety of different flavor infused sausages I couldn't help but pick a few out to take. I only had so much room in my suitcase so I selected the '7 Pepper Bratwurst', 'Philly Cheesesteak Bratwurst' and a pack of 'skinny dogs' (hot dogs). There were at least a half dozen more I would have purchased had I had that room in that suitcase of mine. They made it home safely with me (TSA did not confiscate [to take home to their own freezer? lol] and they are in my freezer awaiting the right time to indulge. I picked out two dried sausage sticks (maple habanero and jalapeno) to try, along with a slab of their teriyaki flavored beef jerky. Each was individually wrapped. I would later eat both the sticks and enjoyed them both, the jalapeno more so. The slab of jerky was for my son, but I tried it and it was very good as well - not too much teriyaki flavor, which I really am not a fan of. It had just the right amount for me and I should have bought some for myself. The young staff working the day I was there were very friendly and helpful, with one of them giving me pointers about meal preparations on the frozen sausages I selected; primarily the philly cheesesteak bratwurst (which I have never tried before, but sounded quite interesting). If you are a carnivore you should make this one of your stops, be you a local or tourist. If you are only into eating nuts and berries then give it hard pass.

I can't for the life of me figure out why this place doesn't have any reviews yet. I stopped in out…read moreof pure curiosity after running errands around Pendleton.
