I walked in today for my appointment and right away was greeted by Winnie and she knew it was me granted it was my first time there. Jimmy also greeted me asked me if I'd like something to drink and was super friendly. Mia did my toes and she was amazing, friendly and gentle. Diane resurrected my nails and spent so much time fixing them to my liking. She was so sweet and gentle too. I felt it was meant to be as my the 2 most important women in my life are also named Mia & Diane. What a great experience I had there, the energy was amazing. We all laughed and talked. No pain except a bit on the left pinky but again, habitual nail biter so not their fault. I paid 65 total for the set and manicure. + 9 tip (1 dollar extra for credit card) so 75 total. I used card and they combined both the nails and toes into the final charge which makes sense. I started to fill out the receipt and left a 20% tip on the total. The nail tech came up and asked me if the tip I left was for each person. And I tried to explain that it would be split between them both. She then asked if I could do the 20% of the total for each nail tech. Major mouth drop from me - I've never had someone ask me to tip them more. I'll give it to her that it was bold ... but it felt like she was bullying me to get more money out of me. 20% on the total is a great tip and I feel like it should be up to the salon/business on how they want to split that between the two techs.
