It wasn't that I couldn't attend my mom's funeral with my hair looking awful-it was just one of those little things that helped an awful situation seem a little less painful. I completely understood and was ready to accept the fact that it wasn't going to work out when Tony said (without any hesitation at all!) that he would find a way to help me! I honestly couldn't believe it when he said he'd call me back to let me know what he could arrange..Less than thirty minutes later, I received a phone call back from Tony advising me that (amazing) Kimberly would come In EARLY to fix my hair! I was so surprised and thankful that I was almost rendered speechless. This salon owner (and his staff) care so much about their clients that it's completely heartwarming and so rare these days. Kimberly did a beautiful job and additionally, she was so kind and caring throughout the appointment. Even though we just met, I felt like she really understood how devastated I was and was so thoughtful and sympathetic. I have always loved Glaze (and recommended them to all my friends), but today's experience was Second to None.. She helped to rectify a botched job from a previous barber at a franchise down the street. She even gave me a complimentary trim when she noticed I needed one. I'm happy that she'll be retiring after doing this for 40+ years. She deserves some R&R, but I'm so bummed to be back on the hunt for a good barber who doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I want to stay local (within a 15 minute drive) and really need the convenience of walking in. Ms. Katherine satisfied both of these wants/needs. If you need a good cut with clippers before that holiday party, get it from her before she closes up shop for good this month.

Shortly after my appointment, I noticed multiple serious issues with the installation. There were beads left loose in my hair that were not attached to anything, along with long pieces of string that were never properly secured or trimmed--I had to cut some of these out myself. On top of that, the middle row, which included three wefts, has been completely ruined. Because of this, I will now be forced to purchase entirely new hair if I ever decide to get extensions again. Even more concerning is the damage to my natural hair. I am currently three months postpartum and understand that some hair shedding is normal, but I am experiencing chunks of hair coming out, which I strongly believe is a direct result of improper installation--not postpartum changes. Blaming this entirely on postpartum hair loss is dismissive and ignores the clear errors in the work that was done. When I raised these concerns, they were brushed off. The owner even reached out to me, but offered no real resolution or compensation. After I responded, I never heard back again. The lack of accountability and follow-through is just as unacceptable as the poor quality of the service itself. I had this service done to feel more confident, and instead I am left dealing with damaged hair, ruined extensions, and a significant financial loss from purchasing the hair while i knew going into this it was a training appointment a master stylist should have checked over the work done making sure there was nothing to cause damage. I politely decline because I value my privacy, and instead of simply respecting that, she becomes direct, rude, and visibly irritated. That is not acceptable customer service. If a customer says no to providing personal information, that should be respected immediately without pressure, attitude, or comments about how it makes an employee's job harder. The rest of the staff have been excellent, which makes this stand out even more. But the person at the front desk needs to learn how to respect a customer's boundaries.
