Upon arrival we were promptly seated, in an almost full house. Within minutes of being seated our waitress was greeting and eager to provide drinks. The restaurant is clean, bright, and smells delicious. Today Sue is sausage and bean or beef and barley. There are no specials during the week, only on weekends. After reviewing the menu I decided to order the shaved steak Florentine melt. It is a steak sandwich with peppers, onions, spinach, mozzarella cheese and horseradish mayonnaise on sourdough bread. I also ordered a cup of beef and barley soup. My boyfriend ordered a Tuna melt with tomato and bacon sandwich. He ordered also ordered bowl sized Beef and Barley soup.

Not the place to be this winter. No table is sheltered from the door opening. Also, the portion of home fries is huge, but tasteless. Needs seasoning, char, or hot sauce. Omelet was just average. Service was good.

This place is a staple for me every time I am in Rochester for work. I'm obsessed with their eggs Benedict. The people are so kind and the service is excellent. Even though I don't live here they remember me! It's got your classic diner vibes inside. I would highly recommend.

Was looking for a diner I haven't tried yet, and the photos of the food here looked great. Upon entering, the place was much smaller than expected, but the food going around looked just as great as the photos, and my tummy started grumbling. I got the biscuits and gravy, with scrambled eggs and deep fried potatoes. Everything was delicious. The eggs were nice and fluffy, biscuits and gravy were excellent, the potatoes were perfectly cooked with a light seasoning. I was curious about their meat hot, so I asked for a side of it. It was the soupiest one I've ever seen. After a napkin soaked up the excess grease, it had a light flavor, seemed to be less seasoned than others. I had a chance to try some French toast and sausage as well. The French toast was standard, and the sausage was above average. Prices were great, the service was friendly and outstanding, I will defiantly be back to try more stuff!

Came in after looking for a diner for a quick breakfast. (Panorama and Pixkeys were both closed). This little diner was packed and we had to shuffle around for a few minutes, which is why the 4 stars. Got two seats at the counter and our hostess quickly cleaned up for us and made us feel at home . It took about 15-20 minutes for our order, quickly wolverined them down! $22 for 2 large brekfests, lol. They serve lunch here too! We'll be back!

I had never been to Mr. Beenz's diner so I decided to try it. Plus Bill's Diner is now closed. (: I must say the food is good, and served hot! The place is spic and span clean, the servers are nice, but be prepared to wait. They get extremely busy and you will wait... And yes, I would go back again. :)

Food is soooo boring and not good. We did not even finish our meals. There was no season (incl salt and pepper) on any of the food.

There is someone just circling constantly with a pot. This is a cash only establishment, so be advised. There is an ATM. We did go at slightly off peak times, since we weren't working those days, but at those times, the restaurant seems to be a favorite of retired men, which is a good sign for a diner! They have a set menu and a specials board that I think changes daily. There's 2 full pages of breakfast, and at least 2 pages of lunch, plus the board. I'm sure you'll find something you like. I had the same thing both visits - a cheese omelet with hashbrowns and wheat toast. It was really cheesy, and I liked that it was a 2 egg omelet rather than 3, for me it was just the right size. We also split a piece of the rotating coffee cake, cinnamon walnut that day, and it was good - not too sweet, plenty of cinnamon. The guy had their 2-2-2 combo and was happy with that choice. For both of us, breakfast ran about $35, for 2 entrees and coffee, plus the cake.

It's perfect for catching a bite right before a show at the Blackfriars theatre, right next door. The food is always hot and fresh. Service is fast and friendly. I was staring at strangers' breakfast sandwiches today so I'll be back soon, I think!

All the staff we encountered in 2 dining experiences were incredibly friendly and hospitable. Best part is the food! Truly the star of this little local gem. Their breakfast selections are extensive, generously portioned and our choices were delicious. Again, we came here 2 days in a row. First day, we had omelettes. Western & greek. I had hashbrowns, hubby had home fries. Both were cooked perfectly. Crispy edges, soft & seasoned nicely. The next day, we came with our daughter. She has eggs benedict with side fresh fruit. Platter was huge with so much ham and potatoes with the eggs and Hollandaise, she couldn't finish it. Husband had an amazing special: a fried breakfast wrap with powdered sugar. Inside was everything! Pancake, eggs, sausage, cheese and hashbrowns. I had a bite, it was to die for. I chose the bacon cheeseburger omelette which i also loved. Our waitresses both times were attentive and so nice. Prices are good, portions are large! For breakfast, come here! And if there is a wait, I promise it's worth it!
