You can't get home delivery, you have to rock up in person. It also closes at 8pm. It's also always busy, queues and queues of locals all lining up just before closing wanting their food. We found out at the end of our meal that one of the other tables was also from our hotel, a mile walk away. Overall, I think a simple menu done well. We got everything they recommended including the recommended beer from the table next to us. Plain Papadum & Chutney Tray - A must try! Suggestion, these two items should be together on your menu to avoid any confusion on pricing. The sauces also went well with our entree and naan. Tandoori Mix Grill - Good, perfect amount for both of us. As mentioned previously, we are light eaters, especially when traveling. This entree also came with a very light simple salad. Garlic Naan - I can eat this all day! This could even be my meal. After Dinner Chocolates - A nice unexpected touch. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Bathrooms need some TLC, but are functional. Indoor/outdoor dining; everyone ate indoors today. Open 7 days a week. Service - Good, had all 3 wait staff help us. This kind of confused us. They were good at upselling, but all 3 team members tried to upsell us. Not in a bad way, but it kept me laughing. I am a light eater, especially when traveling. They all made light small talk which was nice. It was obvious that everyone eating here was NOT local. They also have online promotions, see their website. Price - 28 pounds + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success, I am so glad that you can benefit from Yelp. See you on our next visit as we were so happy with our hotel we plan to stay there again.

Crispy butter-ey bun with a well seasoned filling topped with a lovely chutney. One of the best vada pavs I've had. I would admit that I am a chilli paneer snob, and this chilli paneer is one I would definitely go back for. A little on the spicy side, but it does have the word "chilli" in the name. I would've liked the paneer cubes to be cut into smaller pieces. The one thing I wasn't impressed with the meal was the butter chicken. I found that the portion was way too small for as a main dish. The flavour was okayish. The garlic and chilli naan was good, a little on the crispy side. The chai is spicy and warm, in a good way. The service: Unfortunately, the service is what lets this place down. The staff are not welcoming or attentive, but I guess I am used to this kind of service in Southall. However, there is one gentleman here who was great, I believe he is one of the owners. He was personable and humorous. I would've knocked two stars off if it wasn't for this guy. The place: The restaurant has definitely been renovated since the last Yelp photos that have been posted! The wall decor is cool and modern. The place plays host to all of the local celebrities (by 'all' I mean about 2), and has been critically acclaimed by the Observer. It's a definite hotspot in SE London. The food is perfectly cooked. I have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Of course, they have all of the greats that usually appear on an Indian starter menu - bhajis, samosas, dhal, and who could forget the popadoms served with home made pickles. Try not to fill up on them before the mains - a rookie mistake made in all good restaurants. The paneer tandoori is delicious, almost so delicious that you forget about the guilt you would usually feel if you were eating a plate of grilled cheese elsewhere. It's great for those who are particular about their curry! Tandoori Nights is a classy, stylish and sophisticated Indian restaurant, well deserving of its food awards. The prices do reflect the quality of the food meaning it's not necessarily cheap, but if it's good food you're after then this is the place to head to. Just book early to avoid disappointment!

This place in Stroud Green is very similar in that it is very simplistic in design, but very functional & efficient: As soon as you sit down, one of the staff will bring you a menu and a piece of paper, on which you should write down your order. To me, this seemed to be quite strange at first, but after having come back 4 times already, I actually like it, because you can take your time with your order - no one is rushing you, even though the place gets quite crowded on the weekends. Now, my favourite item on the menu is the masala dosa. But really any dish has been tasty and I recommend ordering a bunch of dishes if you are with a group and then share it all. That way you get a good overview! For dessert (or starter) I recommend their pistacchio lassie...yummy!
