Quality/Quantity - What a great find, and this review shows the positive power of Yelp. We discovered this local restaurant through Yelp, and so did the other 2 tables next to us. We found out at the end of our meal that one of the other tables was also from our hotel, a mile walk away. Overall, I think a simple menu done well. We got everything they recommended including the recommended beer from the table next to us. Plain Papadum & Chutney Tray - A must try! Suggestion, these two items should be together on your menu to avoid any confusion on pricing. The sauces also went well with our entree and naan. Tandoori Mix Grill - Good, perfect amount for both of us. As mentioned previously, we are light eaters, especially when traveling. This entree also came with a very light simple salad. Garlic Naan - I can eat this all day! This could even be my meal. After Dinner Chocolates - A nice unexpected touch. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Bathrooms need some TLC, but are functional. Indoor/outdoor dining; everyone ate indoors today. Open 7 days a week. Service - Good, had all 3 wait staff help us. This kind of confused us. They were good at upselling, but all 3 team members tried to upsell us. Not in a bad way, but it kept me laughing. I am a light eater, especially when traveling. They all made light small talk which was nice. It was obvious that everyone eating here was NOT local. They also have online promotions, see their website. Price - 28 pounds + tip. **June 2022: Saturday Dinner** I landed in London in the afternoon and basically slept through half the day. When 9pm rolled around I figured I probably should eat something, but I wanted to try something local, so I walked about a mile away from my hotel and after a couple of no go options I landed on Zayani Indian. The restaurant had abundant traditional options, so I decided on one of my all time favorites: Chicken Tiki Marsala and Garlic Naan. The entree was exactly how I like my Marsala, creamy, somewhat sweet and savory and the chicken is soft and tender. The naan was the perfect vehicle to dip in the marsala. The marsala dish was a tad smaller than what I'm use to in the states as I usually have leftovers, but it was enough to fill my belly for a dine-in experience. Additionally the price seemed pretty reasonable for a white-table cloth dinner and they open late. I would come back! read more

Unfortunately this restaurant is now closed down. We made the trip from Heathrow just to visit.

This was a random find and turned out to be an absolute gem! Upon a quick stay nearby while waiting for a flight, I found this spot in search of something other than hotel food or airport food. Two friends met up with us and although unsure at first, our entire party was very pleased with all of the food! The service was wonderful, our server was very kind and patient with us. I'm not sure if my expectations are unreasonable but since this is close to Heathrow Airport, I imagine many Americans among other foreigners might stay at nearby hotels and expect something different if you are ordering delivery from Uber eats. I ordered butter chicken, lamb samosas, and tandoori prawns. I was very surprised that my butter chicken came without rice, my Tiger prawns seemed overpriced at 9.14 for 2 (equivalent of 4 small bites), and my delivery didn't include any utensils or napkins. I'm staying at a nearby hotel, traveling and hungry and I expected something more complete. The food was good, just wish I had the right accompaniments. read more

Food was quite delicious. Had the chicken tikka masala, rice. For me it had a nice spice level. My spouse had the vindaloo and that had a bit more of a punch but again, not too spicy. And the staff very helpful. Offered a few recommendations. The restaurant was pretty. We are in London for one night and it was an easy walk from our hotel. They are currently going through some changes, no wine currently, (Jun 2023) but it wasn't an issue because the food was brilliant. read more

[late entry from 2016] As my parents came from Canada for our wedding, before they returned home we treated them to a evening out in London and a proper Indian meal. The hotel receptionist suggested a few names and off we went... Just so happened we found Zayani's first and pilled in. WOW!!! It was so good I don't think any of us have had food like it EVER before. 10/10!!! We live in the West Midlands and I have tried everything to get my husband to go back for a meal out, lol....this summer I swear. Keep up the good work!!! read more

Absolutely fantastic (and top notch) Indian food near Heathrow airport. We arrived late on Friday night due to flight delay. They were shutting down as we walked in with our luggage. The owner/manager greeted us and recommended a specific curry for my wife. It was absolutely delicious!! Although they were closing, they provided the full service and never rushed us. Wonderful Indian restaurant in Slough, close to Heathrow but in a cozy neighborhood setting. Friendly service, attentive but never intrusive, and excellent food. We had the amli chicken, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and a vegetable korma dish. Every single one was superb. The naan bread was a generous size, more than enough to share amongst four people although our party loved naan enough that we ordered two. The only sadness we took away from the meal was the fact that they had ras malai on the dessert menu (a personal favorite of mine, which I've yet to find a reliable source for in the States) - was dreaming about it as we ate our delicious meal even - only come to find out when we tried to order dessert that they were all out! Still, this was a lovely restaurant and the food was extremely well done. We would definitely come back here again. read more

Staying at a Heathrow Airport hotel (Sheraton Heathrow Hotel), was looking for something different for dinner, looked on Yelp and saw the reviews (they were outstanding). We elected to do the 8 min walk. This place was Amazing, the Chicken Korma, Buttered Chicken, different rice dishes and naan.... All so good. This was the best Indian food I have had in years and I travel to Delhi and Hyderabad for work. If you staying near Heathrow, it is worth the walk, taxi or Uber ride for a meal here. Don't let the airport neighborhood scare you off, this place could thrive In London's New Bond Street neighborhood. read more

Located on Simpson road in the middle of the burbs Zayani is definitely a hidden gem to try while staying in the Heathrow area. It is about a 5 minute walk from the Park Inn and walking distance from many of the hotels on Bath Road and well worth the walk. We ended up coming here 2 times during our stay in the area not cause a lack of option but Zayani and the Pheasant are the only 2 decent eating options (in my book) to eat around the area. The food here is genuinely homemade and with that takes a while to come out of the kitchen. Each time we ordered the same thing.. Not cuz we weren't adventurous but it was just that good. The veggie samosa were very fresh. The filling was very light and the outside was very crispy. The tandoori mixed plate was very good. Served sizzling on a black hotplate the chicken and lamb had a nice char and yet maintained good moisture. The meat had a nice subtle heat to it yet was still tolerable even for the soft taste buds of the GF. The Butter chicken was nice and mild and had a very subtle flavor to it. Thick and creamy as butter chicken is supposed to be. The Lamb Tikka was very mild as well. I wanted to get Lamb Madras but no one wanted anything with heat. Oh well next time. Decent price point for Indian food and one of the tastier places to eat off of Bath Road. I put my seal of approval on this place. Just be prepared to wait for your food... read more

For what it's worth, I'm not a die hard fan of Indian food. We've had a mixed journey together. But this place is good food. And the owner Abdul is THE MAN. So cool and welcoming and helped me Odin out a boss lamb dish (okay, I admit, I can't remember what it was called and I just left the restaurant...I told you, I'm not a connoisseur of Indian food). Just go here if you're in a hotel at Heathrow and need food. It's really really good. The pompodam's (sp?) alone are great (see the pic) as an appetizer. read more
