For all the comments about English food, there is no better place to get Indian food besides India. Rajdoot's Indian cuisine is very good and has dishes from numerous regions of India. I have been several times and oour service was very good. I prefer the downstairs dining area because there is not a TV playing over the bar. The staff was watching sports during our diner. Glad I ate here.

This is the best Indian food in London. The chicken tika Marcella is moist and has great flavor. Many assortments of naan's . Definitely worth a try!

Disgusting taste. Treats Indian customer badly. This is not a real Indian restaurant. It's fake. Rotten chicken The chicken smell soo bad and soo undercooked put us all off food

Delicious indian food! It was one of the best I have eaten so far (better than most of the NYC indian foods). We were so happy w/ all the foods we consumed. Our most favorites were the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, and some other thing the staff recommended. All delicious! Staff were super friendly and nice!

Amazing food and service! Chicken Tikka Malowa is a dish I had never had but it is now my new favorite, The rice was so fluffy and flavorful. Garlic naan was pillowy and perfect. Chana masala was some of the best I have ever had. Makes me wish I lived in London!

Good food, good ambiance and Hussain (I hope I'm spelling it right) was a super host/waiter. He answered questions, assisted with substitutions without hesitation and was up for my friend's birthday shenanigans which made for a good time. I would definitely revisit and certainly recommend them. SN: some pf the dishes were sweet but you have to keep on mind, they have to adjust to tastebuds of the masses. Bon appetit!

We had a private downstairs room that felt very classic London--cozy, intimate, and with ceilings low enough that the "watch your step/head" warning is definitely real. The food was fantastic across the board, and the cocktail I ordered was just as good. What really stood out was the service. They handled a large group effortlessly and made the whole experience feel special. Pro tip: if you're deciding between lunch and dinner, the lunch feast is a much better value and still feels like the full Gymkhana experience. I'd absolutely come back.

For me, Gymkhana absolutely lived up to the hype. Although they offer a set lunch menu, I went à la carte to try exactly what I wanted: Chicken Butter Masala, an Indian Onion & Green Chilli Salad, and Garlic Naan (which I appreciated they offer in single pieces). For drinks, I started with their signature Masala Margarita, paired the meal with a Salty Masala Lassi, and finished with a Masala Chai. It was more food than I usually eat, but it was too good not to finish. Every dish was outstanding--bold, layered flavors with distinct character. It really highlighted how exceptional Indian cuisine can be. The drinks had creative twists and complemented the food beautifully. Service was warm, attentive, and efficient without ever feeling formal or rushed. I could tell the staff would gladly accommodate special requests if needed. It was all very deserving of its two Michelin stars. Total bill: GBP 94 including drinks, service, etc. One tip for first-time visitors: go easy on the rice and bread. The other dishes are far too good to fill up on carbs.

I went for the bottomless chai , which is an absolute must and it was really good. They serve it in a glass , which to be honest feels a little bit convenient since it's piping hot. We got the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan (nothing to write home about here). We also got the Samosa chaat as an appetizer, which me and my sister both enjoyed. I also decided to get the chicken ruby curry, which seemed to be very popular across all the review platforms. It was.... OK. lol. Overall, none of the food here is bad. It's just I think this establishment gets so much hype for what it is. This location is particularly historic as it was built on a trade spot between Indians and the British; the place maintains most of the architecture from more than 100 years ago. Service here is pretty good too. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and were able to get high table seatings.

One of our group has a tomato allergy and we weren't sure how much of a selection he would have. The waitress went back and redlined the menu to show what he could have, what he couldn't, and what they might be able to alter. Super nice and it didn't take more than a few minutes. As for the food, a-maz-ing Indian. I recommend their prawn special - not too spicy but very flavor forward. The naan was a nice side to order as well. This location is fairly big with seating on the main floor, downstairs, and outside in a cover lounge area. We had a reservation, although they probably could have handled us if we didn't. That said, it was a busy weekend and the place looked fairly full by the time we left, so maybe grab a reservation. Enjoy!

As soon as you walk in, they offer to hang your coat. The young lady who was our server for the evening gave us the best recommendations--I wish I knew her name. She was so patient with our many questions and didn't steer us wrong. My friends and I started with the wings as an appetizer. They had the perfect amount of grill flavor and were very saucy and well seasoned. There was no classy way to eat them--they were that good. For our entrées, we ordered the goat shoulder and the half rack of lamb chops. The half rack is more than enough for one person, especially with naan and rice. The reviewers were not lying when they said you must try the lamb chops. They came out sizzling, and we laughed because it took us back to dining at Chili's (iykyk). Perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. The same goes for the goat shoulder. This was my first time trying it, and I was very impressed with how good it tasted. While I'm not usually a dessert person, you must try the carrot pastry. Think of it like a McDonald's apple pie (the old-school one), but with warm carrot filling on the inside and a sprinkle of pistachio on the outside--just 10x better. Everything here tasted spectacular, including the chili naan. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.
