Going to the movies is one of my favorite things to do. The big screen, the smell of popcorn, the…read morecandy, etc. IPIC went above and beyond the typical movie theater experience. This is an upscale experience with reclining seats that includes 2 seats per pod. Super cozy for a date night. Complimentary blankets are included at every seat for your enjoyment, at no additional cost. Now let's get to the fun part! IPIC is not your typical movie theater as they have a full bar with cleverly crafted cocktails, my favorite had to be the Lavender Lemonade. It's cool and refreshing and so esthetically beautiful that you question if you should drink it or admire it. But wait there is more, on top of having a full service bar they also have a full menu! Yes you still have the typical popcorn and candy option but they also include such dishes as spicy tuna on crispy rice, charcuterie and cheese platter, lobster rolls just to name a few. Everything is savory and delicious! They do validate parking, allowing guests to park in the garage for a discounted rate. Validation usually brings the cost to approximately $3-$3.50 for 4.5 hours. The cost of tickets range from $14 - $28 per ticket. I have come many times and plan on coming back many times more. IPIC has officially become my favorite theater!

There was no notification, no auto-renewal, and no indication in the app that I had ever been a Gold member. For a premium theater experience that relies heavily on app-based ordering in a dark theater, the lack of transparency was frustrating. Unfortunately, the experience only went downhill from there. There was a noticeable sewage smell in parts of the theater, which immediately took away from the upscale atmosphere IPIC is known for. I was also disappointed to learn that the blankets, one of the signature touches that made IPIC feel special, are no longer available. The food quality has also declined. I ordered the chicken tenders, and even staff acknowledged they are using a different supplier than they did in the past. The difference was noticeable, and not for the better. To make matters worse, our drinks took an exceptionally long time to arrive. I've happily paid premium prices at IPIC for years because the experience felt worth it. This visit felt like a series of cost-cutting measures wrapped in a higher-end price tag. Between the membership confusion, declining food quality, slow service, unpleasant odor, and removal of amenities, it's hard to justify the value compared to what IPIC used to offer. I hope management takes a hard look at the customer experience because the brand that earned my loyalty over the last two years feels very different today.

My friend and I went on a free Sunday and even ran into some other friends while we were there. We got to watch a youth dance performance featuring all different styles--from kids dancing in suits to a Mary Poppins-themed routine it was so incredibly cute! The art itself really spoke to me. I got to see cultural pieces from my home country that I rarely ever see elsewhere, and it honestly brought tears to my eyes. They were also highlighting a Black woman's art that day; hearing her story and seeing the way she painted up until her passing, alongside works from other Black artists, was profoundly beautiful. This was my second time visiting the High, and I absolutely hope to go more often whenever I have the time!

I especially enjoyed the mix of contemporary and classic works, and the building itself is beautiful with plenty of natural light. We visited on a weekend afternoon and found it busy but still comfortable to navigate. There were plenty of benches throughout for taking a break and really appreciating the artwork. I'd recommend this for a date, solo afternoon, or when you have visitors in town. My biggest tip would be to check the special exhibitions before your visit since they can be a major highlight. Definitely one of Atlanta's gems.

The spot is huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so you aren't cramped while trying to catch a vibe. The 1000 Masks cocktail was smooth and balanced, avoiding the sugar-trap I expected from the blueberry syrup. We started with the Yuca Parmesan Truffle Fries--solid crunch and the truffle wasn't aggressive--and the Togarashi Tempura Veggies, which were light and crispy. I went with the 5Church Lamb Burger Sliders for the main; the gorgonzola fondue and red onion marmalade combo was a heavy hitter, though the lemon-dressed arugula kept it grounded. The food was a solid, reliable choice--nothing that'll change your life, but definitely tasty enough to keep you satisfied while the music does its thing. If you want a laid-back, intentional atmosphere without the extra noise, this is the move.

The chicken skewers took forever to come out. You only get two of them, and they are served over a bed of mixed greens. They lacked seasoning and flavor. The artichoke dip was extremely oily and had a very strange texture--it was thick and spreadable. The pita bread tasted old and stale. asked for a fork and the waitress forgot. When she brought my fries, she realized that she never brought the fork, and still didn't bring it. I ordered yucca fries, but she brought regular fries. The mocktails were served in these foggy old cups. Even the customer next to me commented on her own cup and said it looked like someone had drank from it. They add 20% gratuity to ALL bills--I was by myself and it was still added. 5 Church is pretty good, but this place was not at all. I paid 65 dollars for my meal, which was absolutely not worth it, given the quality and service of my experience. Looks good for IG but I won't be coming back to this rooftop.

You have to go up to the bar for all food and drink orders but the sales persons wee friendly and the drinks wee tasty and well balanced. It's dark inside but not too. I wish I could love MSR, I really do. But sadly no matter how hard I try, they just mess up so…read morebadly it's impossible. I can't help but think the owners here just want suck money out of the LGBTQ community, not provide an actually decent experience. Let's start with the basics. When I was here around Halloween last year, I had to use the bathroom. That was a big mistake. There was a drag show that night... MSR's response? To close the women's restroom and make it a drag prep room and then force people of all identities to use ONE restroom with ONE stall and a urinal. There was easily over 100 people in the building. You mean to tell me a LESBIAN BAR is providing ONE TOILET TO A TON OF WOMEN? Be fr. I had to wait in line with the door to the bathroom open just to use a gross toilet while men are walking in and out freely to use the urinal. Why am I being subjected to that??? Another major gripe that I have with MSR- they (illegally?) deny free water here. Maybe that has changed, the last time I was here was over the summer. But out of the like 5-6 times I have been at MSR, they've denied me cups of water every single time and the bartender insisted I have to buy bottled water. Isn't it against state law to do that in Georgia? What a truly terrible way to treat your patrons. They don't care about you. At all lol. I'm sure if they didn't have to live up to health department guidelines that conditions would be even worse. My sisters room gets business and attention because it's the only lesbian bar in this area. If (hopefully WHEN) another lesbian bar shows up on the Atlanta scene, MSR better count it's days. It's really sad and frustrating to me because I want to come here and have a good time but I just can't. As a patron I've had a bad or neutral experience every single time I went. The only reason last time was neutral was because I held my pee the whole time. I shouldn't have to do that. Please do better. This bar has no right being recognized as one of the last standing lesbian bars. If you're an entrepreneur and you're reading this, please start another lesbian bar here.

Pros: -Very conveniently located. -Politan Row (PR) connected. Lots of food options and entertainment within this area. There is a bar JoJos that lies right in between the hotel and PR. -Breakfast was good. I don't always enjoy hotel breakfast. But this was good and had a decent amount of options. Chicken sausage were good and they had really good Manchego Grits!! Cons: The hotel lacked the wow factor. When I come back for a visit, I don't feel compelled to book here next time. -Water was almost never hot. I took showers throughout the day.. no time was a good time. -Toilet was very old and loud -Noisy!!! We could hear each elevator trip and the people who exited them. -Room smelled stale almost. Luckily I travel with spray. -No shower cap/ Makeup remover/Qtips -The bar located in the lobby was cute but the cocktails were not tasty. $25 and we weren't palatable. -Valet staff was great but it's $69 a day and takes quite a while.
