We found this place on a Reddit thread and the Yelp reviews seemed promising after looking for places to go on our first trip to Atlanta. Sadly, this place didn't meet our expectations. We thought the options were basic, although different varieties, and weren't completely satisfied with the food we ordered. The service was nothing to rave about either but at least the restrooms and tables were clean. We also loved being able to walk on the trails in the surrounding neighborhood. We ordered a margarita pizza from Varuni, which was the most underwhelming if not disappointing pizza in our opinion. The crust was too soggy and the sauce was sour. It tasted like they just used a can of uncooked crushed tomatoes. We also ordered the fried turkey platter from Soul since we've never had southern comfort food. The turkey was seasoned well but was a bit dry and over fried, again just our opinion. Nonetheless, it was a better value and had more flavor than the pizza because the candied yams were delicious! Finally, we got after-meal drinks from Little Tart and the coffee was good. Overall, it wasn't the worst experience but we probably wouldn't eat at this food hall again. I would still suggest it to other first-timers since the location was really nice and it's good for groups because of the different options. I love the Krog Street Market! Plenty of restaurants to choose from that offer eclectic cuisine. They have retail shops including a barber shop, nail place and more. The restaurants here all pretty good with some being better than others but I'll leave specifics for the actual spots themselves - some highlights include the Ticonderoga club, Gu's dumplings and Fred's Meat and Bread. There is also a bar in the hall so you can grab a drink and walk around. Be prepared that parking isn't awesome - there is a pay lot that isn't very big and street parking which can be difficult depending on the day. The market also connects to the belt line so it's super fun and can lead you anywhere. read more

Located in a repurposed 1920s warehouse, it's a perfect example of how Atlanta gives historic spaces a second life...and I'm 100% here for it! It actually reminds me a bit of Chelsea Market in Manhattan, with the industrial and stylish feel. The area has a lot of history, and it's just a cool spot to explore (and eat well!). On my most recent visit, I stopped by Fred's Meat and Bread for a cheesesteak (always a solid pick) and grabbed cookies from Little Tart Bakeshop because dessert is non-negotiable, LOL. Since it was midday during the week, it was low-key and parking was easy, which was a plus. You can expect to see a mix of food stalls, dine-in spots, beer & wine options, and a bit of retail so there's something for everyone. Prices are reasonable, depending on what you enjoy, and I usually pick quick eats. Beyond that, I also love the diversity of the crowd when KSM is poppin', visitors range from young professionals to entire families, to foodies and locals...they all give KSM a fun, welcoming energy. Also, there's often something happening in and around the Krog District. From block parties and trivia nights to Friday night concert series, the area stays active, especially in the warmer months. So if you're planning a visit, it's worth checking the schedule. Know before you go :-) Pro Tip: While I've never had issues parking, I've heard stories. So if you drive, pay close attention to parking signs and zones...boots and surprise bills are real. My first time at Krog Street market and there are so many options . I ended up finding this am really good Asian place and then my friend had the soul food. It was really great. The wait time was like 30 minutes from my food granted it was extremely busy, but it was worth the wait when I tasted it because OMG That was the best fried rice and wings I've ever had a $23 well spent. read more

Public food hall in downtown Atlanta, also adjacent to the Beltline. This food hall reminds me of the Essex Market in LES Manhattan in terms of size, and offerings, there's a good mix of different types of vendors though with a smaller footprint than its neighbor Ponce City Market. Some of the storefronts for the larger restaurants (like Brewdog Brewery, Superica, Ticonderoga Club, Planta, Makimono, Recess--just to name a few) and stores are accessible by entrances along the Beltline others have stalls inside the main building. I stopped by to grab a matcha latte from Little Tart bakery here and it was good. There are about a two dozen food vendors and a handful of other shops. I especially enjoyed browsing the beer store Hop City Craft Beer and Wine (their selection of local beers is expansive!) and the home goods gift store The Merchant. My friend also picked up a few donuts from The Salty across the street which were delicious. Open daily 7 or.8am until 9-10pm depending on the day. Bathrooms available. Worth checking out! read more

It's gets pretty busy and parking is available that's attached to the market and is paid parking. It does get busy and the market is well maintained and plenty of seating available to enjoy your food and drinks. I really liked Krog Street Market, but I think Ponce City Market had a bit more flair. There are plenty of stalls, with something for everyone. Lots of cuisines to choose from and a wide variety (full meals, drinks, dessert). Just expect to shell out a bit more... seems like these food halls are always on the more expensive side. The service at most of the stalls seemed to be pretty fast, so if you're walking down the BeltLine and looking for a quick bite, this is a solid option! read more

Food: We tried Fred's, Suzy suis, and gu's dumpling. The Bao buns were pretty good, I only tried the pork one, it was great though! Moist and flavorful. 5/5. At Fred's we tried their Michelin mentioned Korean Philly cheesesteak, which was amazing. The Korean flavors strongly impacted it, it was a little spicy but very, very good. The fries were good at first but they were super salty so I could only eat a few before it was too much. 4.5/5. Omg, those dumplings (chicken & pork) were unbelievable. The fillings in both were great, and the dough was soft and fell apart in your mouth. I prefer crispy dumplings to soft, but these have to be some of the best I've ever had. You could easily pop 10 maybe 20 of those in and still wish for more. Service: All of the vendors here served the food pretty quickly and were all nice. Atmosphere: Very busy little place and great for a quick lunch! I liked the shared tables, as we met a very nice couple and we talked to them for an hour. Overall: I liked all of the different options, and I'm sure that all of them would be great, and I wish I could try all of them, but sadly I do not live here. If you can though I would recommend trying all of these places at some point! read more

We love a food hall! Krog Market was one of the first places I ventured to before I officially moved to Atlanta, and I fell in love. Krog reminds me of markets I've visited when traveling, offering dozens of places to eat and drink in one spot. Love the concept. Parking is a pain though! With limited, tight, paid-parking directly in front of Krog, I think that's the only negative for me. We all know how parking goes in this city, it's a struggle but I guess we get used to it. I'm always lucky enough to stumble upon others leaving and snagging their spot, so patience can really be a virtue. But if parking is packed, that means that business is good and that's always what I love to know! And, for good reason. Hop City Beer & Wine owns the liquor and spirits shop at the front entrance that sells a wide variety of local and international drinks, a great place to stop into for your happy hours at home. When you head into KSM, you'll also be able to enjoy the Hop City bar which pairs great with your meal and treats that you may pick up while at the market. The communal hall has multiple long tables and bar seating against the wall for you and all of our neighbors to take a seat and enjoy their visit. Regarding the options available, where do I start?! From Vietnamese to Indian, vegan to Tex-Mex, there's really something for everyone here. With over 2 dozen food and beverage options, I think the biggest struggle here is deciding upon what you'll eat. I really need to treat myself to a day when I visit each biz! For me, I always stop into Pho Nam for their pho and banh mi, a sweet treat from Jeni's, Xocolatl and The Salty Donut, Popcorn from Indulge, dumplings at Gu's and drinks at The James Room or Hop City. I seriously don't think you can go wrong with any spot you choose here!! Who knew such greatness could coexist in one building?! read more

We walked around for a while and ended up deciding on trying Jeni's ice cream as we weren't in the mood for a meal or 'real' food. We tried a bunch of flavors and ended up ordering boston cream pie. Such a fun and tasty flavor! The whole atmosphere was so quaint but simultaneously abuzz. We also walked around after, there was a cute strip along a paved road and it was really nice. After filling up on donuts at the Salty Donut, needed to walk the block and decided to pop into this market. Typical of most markets/food halls offering various types of gastronomy, however what I quickly caught on to was how crazy expensive things are. For example, there is a Vietnamese restaurant serving banh mi sandwiches for $13! That's insane. That's more than New York City! In a short drive to the ATL subburb of Doraville, you will find bahn mi for 5 bucks! I also saw a tourist shuttle outside dropping visitors off along their tourist route. Maybe that's why prices are high, but I saw very few people dining inside at lunch time. In case you haven't guessed it, I didn't buy anything from there. Goodbye Krog Street! read more

I'm a tourist. This reminds me of the various food Markets in NYC, which I love. The location is convenient to other walkable hangouts, so the placement is perfect if you are in the area and want to explore more food options than what already exists during your exploration. They have diverse options for food and they also have drinks! I had dumplings from one place and slaw from another. The food from both places was good. I do recommend at least walking through and seeing the options. I'll definitely be back when I visit ATL again. read more

This market was in a nice area and located near the Beltline. Krog Street Market is a good hall with a brewery, pizza, Bahn Mi, burgers and more. I enjoy a place where I can try different items form different local places. On my visit I tried a gingerbread loaf and a tahini cookies from The Little Tart Bakery. Both items very very good and really enjoyed the gingerbread loaf! I ordered an Italian Grinder from Fred's Meat and Bread. I loved the sandwich. The seating is sparse and hard to come by for the amount of people visiting the market. Some tables are designated for the brewery so that makes even less seating. It would be nice if the seating area was more spacious. The parking can be a challenge if you do not come early. There are two lots associated with Krog Market but both were pricey I think one lot was 8-12 per 1 hr. The surface lot closer to the market was more expensive. I found street parking a block away with no problems. Overall, this is not my favorite market in the Atlanta area due to lack of seating and expensive parking. I will visit at an off time instead of a peak time. Check it out if you visit Atlanta! read more
