Ambiance is my fav in SXM! Service was fantastic. Yannick has awesome table side manners. Been here last 2 years on our trip to SXM. Always a top favorite. Didn't realize they were on yelp or I would have taken photos of our food. We had the angry dragon roll as an appetizer for all of us to share! Awesome and will get again! 3 of us has general Tso's chicken. Very fresh and had awesome flavors! Other person had the black pepper beef. Didn't have much flavor, but he did tell them less spicy. Dessert was the lava cake with coconut ice cream and lemon sorbet. We loved them both! Will be back again next year for sure! read more
Five star food and ambience. Place was jammed so service suffered a bit. Not for lack of the servers trying very hard to hustle to service tables. Kitchen is small so with restaurant packed it clearly put a strain on them getting entrees on the tables. Smoked pork belly buns consisted of two bao with a big thick cut of bacon flavored well. I'd suggest they add cilantro and pickled vegetables to buns. Bo Bun salad was very good. I added shrimp. Nice peanut fish sauce. Good nem, plenty peanuts noodles, limes and greens. Could use more mint. Star was General Tso shrimp with 2 big pieces of perfectly fried broccoli. Waiter explained shrimp were fried then toss into sauce. Even though it was a heavy sauce the shrimp and broccoli still maintain a wonderful crunch. Maybe the best General Tso I've had and I've eaten a lot. You could add beef, chicken or tofu to noodle and salad dishes at an additional cost. Most restaurants on Dutch side are adding a 15 to 20% service charge which wait staff says they receive only 5%. Rest goes to boss and kitchen staff. They expect another 15-20 or better gratuity. Some have even gotten nasty and very forward asking for more. Mr Chow Does Not add a service or gratuity. You tip as warranted. Believe me I've been visiting St Maarten for over 20 +years and sorry to see this is a common practice now. Wait staff has no incentive to give good service with this new practice. Mr Chow and Roma share a space and both restaurants the servers work there butts off so they deserve 20-25%. Chili oil was a tad light on spicy. read more
Had a blast at Mr. Chow, Pan Asian restaurant! From the moment we stepped in, Bernard, our server-turned-superstar, wowed us with his top-notch service. He paid attention to every detail. Oh, and let's talk about the island breeze that swept us off our feet and added to the ambiance. It added a touch of paradise to our dining experience at Mr. Chow. And boy, was dinner a delight! Simple yet oh-so-yummy, it hit all the right spots. Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the food! We kicked things off with a round of Mojitos that left us wanting more. They were simply delicious, packing the perfect punch to get the party started. As for the main event, we indulged in a feast of great selection's. The General Tso was bold and flavorful. The Ginger Chicken danced on our taste buds, adding a zing of excitement to the meal. And who can resist the classic combination of Beef and Broccoli? All of the dishes offered great flavors and were presented with finesse, making us feel like we were dining in a high-end gallery. But wait there's more, the banana tempura. It was absolutely divine! The crispy exterior and the sweet, melt-in-your-mouth banana inside were a match made in dessert paradise. However, it needed a bit more ice cream to balance out the richness of the tempura. Ice cream makes everything better, right? Everything was presented well, filling, nice portion size and tasted delicious. read more
Meh. We were excited about our first night on the island and the outdoor ambiance attracted us to this spot. But the food was amateurish. Menu items were out of stock. Veg Nemis were greasy. My tuna was cut in uneven clumps and my wife's shrimp was so undercooked it was still raw in the middle. Won't be back. read more

Food was not my favorite. I order the General Tao's shrimp they fried shrimp with shell on. I was not a fan took shell off and shrimp had no flavor. Also order spring rolls . They seem more like fried egg rolls. My husband enjoy jid beef pad tai but my brother and sister-in-law order the chick pad Tao and where not happy they prefer the beef pad tai. Would not go back server was not attentive and ambiance was the best out of all. read more
