I have hesitated on giving a poor review the last 3 years because I can imagine working at a laundromat is beyond a soul sucking job. However, I am always met with attitude whenever I drop off my laundry. I tried getting here at 8 before work and the employee came in 10 minutes late, not even trying to hold the door open for me while I was clearly waiting outside with my laundry. On one occasion with a drop off, a pillowcase was missing from my clean laundry and there was no refund or any apology to rectify the issue. To management - maybe pay your miserable employees better and get rid of the dated cash machine that only works with crisp bills. For Christ sakes. it's 2025 why aren't we using credit cards here for the machines??? Honestly the scariest part of the week is asking the miserable worker here for another $20 here to replace mine, and I work in mental health, so I see some scary shit.... read more

This review is for the 2 female workers who rotate in the morning. They are the most rude and unprofessional people I ever seen work in the laundry mat. They will ignore you when you ask for help and give you a dirty look like why are you bothering me. I asked for a machine that had clothes stopped she walked right past me like I wasn't even there. They rather talk on the phone with friends or watch a movie on the phone then help you. I met the owner super nice guy but these females need a new career if they're going to be miserable at work. Probably the worst cleaners I have ever the misfortune of using. This laundry service was never on time, always late or too early. They would ignore the instructions I included with my order such as to call me. They would say they attempted to pick up even though I was at home and did not hear the door bell or anyone knocking. They would refuse to come to my door and instead ask me to bring my laundry to the driver. They once dropped off someone else's laundry instead of picking mine up and did not respond when I called to tell them of the mistake. They damaged my dress by losing a piece of it. And most recently, they dropped off my laundry at someone else's address and then hung up on me when I called to ask them about it. That was the last straw for me. read more

I been using Astoria Laundry for year's and never had a issue. I own a corporate account and Astoria Laundry handles all of our needs. They do the same day pick up as requested and drop off when needed. They go above and beyond to offer the best service possible. They are always accommodating and the new owner is a sweet heart!!! I hate to write this review, but I unfortunately can no longer use this laundromat, as they have continued to raise their prices of the washing machines over the past year. They also no longer give quarters for $1 bills - only for $5's, $10's, and $20's. The sign on the machine claims that it has been "broken", but I find this incredibly sneaky and dishonest. When asked for change, the employees act like it is in inconvenience. Please fix the machine. This used to be my go-to laundromat in the neighborhood, but I will sadly have to take my business elsewhere. read more

How do you expect people to want to wash clothes here when you don't even want to give change? Sorry to tell you but your machines need change to work. Your change machine doesn't take dollar bills, fix it. But don't hassle customers and give them a hard time when they keep your doors open. It's so easy to go down the block somewhere else. I recently went to do laundry at this facility as my regular laundromat is closed due to the covid. After washing my clothes I went to the dryer section and noticed all the machines were being used or with a note on them stating they cannot be used because there is a woman there drying the clothes people drop off. I asked the woman working there if I can use one of the dryers that she had a note on? She told me I would have to wait and was completely rude and aggressive with me. She also told me if I didn't like it i could go elsewhere. I proceeded to use one of the machines anyway. I went to grab my phone after i was done and she was must have assumed i was calling the owner? She then told me the phone number to call and complain is on the awning. Also, The place is unkept and there is no where to sit. The following week I went to another place up on 27th street and 24th Ave. The women who work there are much more pleasant in comparison. I did mention my experience at Astoria Laundromat to one of them. She laughed and said she's had a lot of people come from there complaining of of the same rude women who work there. Where do I start. Asked for same day laundry service. Clothes were picked up at 1:30 and never returned, even after I called and spoke with "Jerry" and was promised to have the clothes by 10:30 pm at the latest. Now the place is closed for the day, no one called us back for a status update. Tried calling several times and the line either continuously rang or was busy. No option to leave a message. I am absolutely livid as I sit here in bed and stayed up LATE to wait for the laundry to be delivered. Will call FIRST thing in the morning. They BETTER answer or heads are going to roll!!! **Update** Clothes were miraculously delivered at 11:48 pm, as someone rang the doorbell. Asked for a phone call so we could have a heads up, but that didn't happen. Needless to say, the delivery driver apologized for the inconvenience. Way too tired to dig through all of the clothes now. My experience with this laundromat doing pickup & dropoff wash and fold was pretty frustrating. They lost my most expensive clothing items which were separated to hang dry and 10 phone calls later (over the course of 1.5 weeks) it finally resolved after I called delivery.com AND spoke to the owner. For about a week they were "finding" my clothes. Then they found and forgot to deliver- with miscommunication between staff and finally they were delivered with 50% off my order for the inconvenince. I would not trust this establishment to safely do the laundry and return without an issue so I will not continue to use them. read more

I used this place twice, and I will say never again. The first time, they were over two hours late picking up my laundry, and two hours late dropping it off, but my laundry was clean. I figured I'd use it again on a day when I didn't have anywhere to be. Take 2, an hour late picking up on Thursday. They said they'd drop it off at 10 a.m. on Friday. Never showed, never called, and we couldn't get through to them on the phone. We called multiple times, finally got through, and arranged a new delivery for Saturday. Same thing happened, again, and again, until we finally got our things Monday. Once we looked at our laundry, we found that we had a total of three destroyed shirts. So back to the hunt for a decent wash and fold that delivers to Long Island City! This place has certainly lowered my standards. read more

As you can see from my profile, I don't often write reviews, but I'm taking the time to write this because these guys are HORRIBLE!!! Just moved to the area and tried this place out. Took a few white button down shirt for dry cleaning and white sweaters for dry cleaning. They came back grey!!! It looks like they were smoked in soot. I tried talking to the lady who works there and she just told me that that's what happens when you dry clean, that I should just use the washer and and bleach my clothes. What? They are dry clean only shirts and I've been sending them out for dry cleaning for years! and they have always been white! She didn't even offer to re-send it for cleaning, not that I would have accepted after they ruined my clothes with no semblance of an apology. Paid $55 to get back my dirty clothes in hopes I can take it somewhere else to fix it! read more

Here's why: The new owner, Bill reached out to me personally to apologize for the way I was treated when I patronized this establishment and told me that next time I came, I would be their guest. I have since come back with laundry and dry cleaning, and it seems they are working to turn the place around. Overall a positive experience. Jerry called me about half an hour after I placed my order to confirm the details of pick-up. The following day (Friday) my laundry was picked up and on Saturday night, I got another call from Jerry, confirming delivery details. Jerry then delivered my laundry himself. The laundry was (first and foremost) clean. The laundry was also well folded and packed in a plastic bag. What would have cost approximately $160 to have done by the hotel, they were able to do it for less than $40! I'd recommend this place and would happily use it again, if I was in the area. I'm really upset that I somehow managed to miss these reviews before I used this place. I had such an ordeal with trying to get them to pick up, I called, was told 11am I waited around for three hours before calling them again. They said they were at my apartment but I never received a call. They told me they would be there in an hour after that. Hour goes by. I call again he's "10 minutes away" A half an hour there he comes. Takes two of my bags then watched as I struggled with the remaining two to take to his car without helping me. I gave him instructions that I wanted two of the bags on a separate ticket and he couldn't seem to comprehend which two bags I was talking about. They told me it would be done by 12:00 today. I checked three times to make sure that was accurate. I call at 12:30 and she informs me that it would be done at 6:00. I told her no that wouldn't work. Confused she said "six?" again. I argued with her saying I wouldn't be home at that time. And she kept telling me she was very busy so it would be done at 6. Why can't it just be done by the time quoted? OR if there's an issue CALL ME! I really wonder if I'll ever get my clothes back at this point. Edit: one day later I have yet to receive my clothes and I have a job interview today. The best service!! The best hours!! Fastest turnaround!! I've been coming here since January after a terrible awful experience across town at a shopping plaza.They have consistently provided friendly and fast service, week after week for my drop off laundry service and dry cleaning! So glad they take credit cards because the other place didn't. I live closer to 3 other cleaners but will walk or drive the 7 blocks because they are just the best! Long hours too, 7 days!!! I have a busy schedule and travel all week long. Knowing I will consistently receive courteous service is a huge relief. OPEN SUNDAYS!!! That helps a ton. I was in a bind this past Sunday and the woman who works during the day was able to take my clothes late Sunday afternoon and had them done by NOON on Monday in time for my 2pm flight out of LGA!!! I just got back today, Thursday at 9pm and am traveling for vacation and again tomorrow, and am in a bind again to have clean clothes for tomorrow before I leave at 2pm. The owner and his son were there and I asked if they could help me out. NO PROBLEM! So nice as always and super courteous. I'm going to miss service this when I move to Houston in a few weeks :(. I should have left a review sooner because they have helped me out all year. Dry cleaning always on time and I would say the prices are more than fair! 5/5!!!!! Here's why: I had a bunch of job interviews lined up out of state and bought a new suit and shoes in preparation... I unfortunately did everything last minute and my pants needed to be hemmed. I realized this the night before my morning flight. I frantically came in to Astoria Laundry, thinking I would be laughed at and turned away... However, the owner was so kind and chuckled a little and said it wouldn't be a problem. So, I dropped off the pants at 8pm and they called me the next morning to say that they were ready for pickup. Also, I was charged the normal (very fair) price for the hemming. They even pressed them an extra time! The job itself was perfect, the prices throughout the place are more than fair and above all, the customer service is outstanding. My go to for laundry & dry cleaning in Astoria- I wouldn't go anywhere else!! I always drop off my laundry and the staff is super quick, efficient, trustworthy and the clothes come back smelling amazing and folded to perfection! I only trust them for my dry cleaning also- they got rid of a stain on my white blouse that another dry cleaner told me was permanent. I debated giving 1 star but since they actually cleaned the clothes I figured I would throw in an extra star. This review is mostly for the pick up and delivery service. The first few times I used them and scheduled the pick up and delivery online everything was great. They came when they said for pick up and returned when they said they would. No problems at all. Then the problems started. One order I had a few shirts that were hang dry and they didn't deliver them. I went to the laundromat and they couldn't find them. Finally they realized they delivered them to someone else by mistake and I got them back. The time after that it was an hour past when they were supposed to drop off my laundry on a Sunday night. I called and was told they were very busy and it was going to Be at least an hour before they delivered it. They finally came at almost 11pm. I decided to give Them one more chance thinking last time was a fluke. I scheduled the pick up online and an Hour and a half after the window I called to see when someone was coming. They seemed confused and sent someone to pick up my clothes. It is now 10 minutes past when thy were supposed to drop off my clothes and they aren't here. I can see this is going to be another order with an issue. I will not be using them them again. read more

Their prices are fair, and every once in a while they will post a coupon for dry cleaning which drives their prices way below their competitors! I've been going to their first location (31st across from that shopping center right before 23 ave) since it opened. I'm happy to see they opened an other spot closer to me! All new machines, amazing dry cleaning service, and the best of all they wash all my clothes and fold them neater then I could ever. I always find tons of fabric softener sheets in my clean laundry leaving My clothes smelling great. Oh yeah and un like other places i used in the past... I actually get all the clothes I give them back. I always used to lose shirts or jeans in the but not any more. Thanks guys keep up the great work. I've used this service several times with no complaints, but after my last experience with them, I will never use them again. The delivery driver forgot our dry cleaning when he brought the laundry. Told me he would be back in 30 mins. 4 HOURS LATER I got a call from him asking where I was. Then it took us another week of poor communication and lies about calling us or knocking on our door (which they didn't. We were home all day) to get our dry cleaning back. This is a convenient service but not worth it. I'm finding someone else. read more

Have done dry cleaning here a multitude of times. You get what you pay for, if you want a TRUE dry cleaning feel there's literally stand-alone dry cleaners to left and right adjacent streets but if you aren't fussy, this place is affordable enough compared to it's competitors. The upside is the fact that the other dry cleaners in the area are too lazy to stay open on the weekends (something I could never understand being that more than half of Astoria works during the week and they will close at 5pm on those days). They also have plenty of washers/dryers as well and I've never seen the place packed out so you shouldn't have to wait too long. read more

I would also like to note that I appreciate the method that is used to fold my laundry - it makes the sorting process so much easier, and most importantly they always deliver within the time frame conveyed so I have never had a communication issue with their service. read more

We have been doing laundry here for 6+ years but things have gone downhill since ownership changed during the last year. The coin machine is constantly broken. The dryers have lint. The washing machines use warm water when they are set to cold. And then to top it all off the prices went up significantly - on the order of 35% given that dryers went from 10 minutes to 7 minutes for a quarter. It would be one thing if the service improved, it given the current situation the ownership should be ashamed. We will be looking elsewhere in Astoria for laundry. read more

DO NOT EVER USE THIS LAUNDRY PLACE. I waited 3 hours for my laundry to be picked up and when I called they told me no one could come pick it up. After explaining to them that this was their fault and they needed to send someone to picked it up, they decided it was a good idea to send an Uber to pick up my laundry and bring it to them. The Uber driver then decided he didn't want to do it and DROPPED MY LAUNDRY ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN A PUDDLE IN THE POURING RAIN. I called delivery.com (the app that I go through to use them) and told them what happened. The owner of the laundry then called me and asked me what I told them. When I said I told delivery.com what happened he told me not to use them anymore and that he wasn't going to send someone to pick up my laundry. My response was are you kidding me? Then this grown ass supposed "professional business man" began to scream "NO IM NOT FUCKIN KIDDING YOU." DO NOT USE THEM! They are not worth it! read more

I give this place 2 stars because they've always cleaned my clothes and given them back(I pick them up myself). The reason for the poor rating is that they NEVER have my dry cleaning done on time. I received the receipt on Tuesday when I dropped my comforter off and it stated to pick up on a Friday. I didn't come by until Sunday but my comforter had not even been touched...this has happened every single time I've used their dry cleaning services(roughly 4-5 times). They always forget about my stuff and don't do it unless I come by a second time reminding them to do it. It's a huge inconvenience. read more

Horrible experience. The place ruined my best suit jacket, after having it for two weeks and repeatedly failing to make the fixes they said they would make. When I took it back to try to get it redone elsewhere, they said nothing. And a week later, when I returned to do regular laundry myself, the owner screamed at me and threatened to track me down at my work place. The first time I used this service it was perfect. Let's just say they lulled me into a false sense of security. The second time, they picked up my order 4 hours early. Normally this would not be an issue, but I didn't have it packed or ready when they showed up. They woman on the phone also told me she would call before it was picked up, which clearly never happened. I asked for the earliest delivery the following day because I was headed out of town and needed to pack before leaving. Somehow my delivery was not recorded. After I made a call to inquire about my laundry's whereabouts, I was told I must not have made a laundry request. My delivery was made 4 1/2 hours later. Once it was delivered, I realized they had used scented detergent on the wash, which I specifically stated on my email request and in my phone call could not be used. I dropped of laundry here to get done. It was done quick, folded great and delivered to my door. I cannot complain for a second on their level of service. But what irked me was I received 2 items that were NOT MINE in my laundry. So that opens up a lot of questions. The 2 most concerning to me are- did I lose anything? I used them a couple times for drop off. Until I realized they do the laundry on site and that the wet laundry sits in carts for anybody to just go and grab, there are dry cleaned coats in the bathroom, (the same bathroom that doesn't have hand towels/dryer-you do the math) it's just bizarre. Started going to these guys since they opened, and I've had nothing less than spectacular service! The employees are friendly, the cost is reasonable, and the service is great! Free pick-up and delivery to save me a ton of hassle, and the clothes come back smelling great! You can tell they use good quality detergent, and you always find a bunch of dryer sheets in there, keeping them smelling nice when you get home. They fold very neatly and have always been able to separate out a piece of clothing I accidentally threw in there, for dry cleaning. Service is fast, reliable, and like another poster said, you actually get everything back. Lost a few shirts and various other garments through some of the other services in the area.
