It was what I was looking for at a good price. However, I asked the salesman if they offered a transfer of everything from my old machine and he said they did for $ 199 and was offered through the "Geek Squad" which had a kiosk right in the store. I waited in line at the kiosk for maybe 15-20 minutes before I was waited on, the work order was prepared and only then was I informed that the process could take up to 48 hours! I was kind of shocked by that but figured that they probably had more than my little machine to take care of and left. Mind you, I have a 80 mile round trip to go this store. I received an email a couple of days later and said my machine was ready for pick up. The counter guy waited on me, gave me my new computer in the original box and that was it?? No explanation what to do, what to look out for or even a "thank you". Pretty unprofessional. I had to ask him if there was someplace I could sit down and try the machine to make sure it actually worked - you know like powered up. It did and I checked a couple of links and everything seemed OK. BIG MISTAKE! It's been two (2) months since I bought the machine and I'm still finding major issues and surprises that I never expected. I've been forced to take the new machine to a local repair guy to fix some basic issues with communication between devices like printers and scanners. My recommendation is if you buy a computer at Best Buy in Albany is DON'T LET THE IN STORE GEEK SQUAD TOUCH IT! You'll be sorry.

Chad showed up promptly at 10 am on Saturday February 4th. He worked relentless straight through to 11 pm without a break. Chad hung each TV to perfection. He has a gift for visualizing the perfect spot to hang a TV. He tirelessly worked to customize and reprogram my three universal remotes. He used a very creative solution to mount Roku 3 devices behind my LED TVs. As a result of this great workaround, I received a double benefit. I did not have to hang A/V shelves beneath these TVs and I returned the A/V shelves to Amazon for a refund. Chad understood exactly what I was looking for and accomplished it. His work and professionalism was flawless. His price was extremely reasonable and he bent over backwards to give me the home theater solutions I needed. I got home popped a Verizon SIM card in my iPhone and LO AND BEHOLD the phone works. I also plugged the other item in and LO AND BEHOLD it charged right up and held its charge. Basically they wasted an hour of my life and lost business. I do hope the guy who told me my iPhone was locked just made an honest mistake BUT he would have some money to gain if he had convinced me to sell it to him at the lower locked price then turned around and sold it as an unlocked. My suggestion to you would be to make sure you go on the CEX website and get your own quote for the items you are thinking of bringing in. Secondly, try and be in the store when the manager Alissa is working because she actually knows what she's doing. Several of the employees there are unprofessional, slightly rude, and don't know how to do their job correctly.

I'd like to see some new equipment, and have some of the existing equipment repaired or replaced. But, there's really good bones, here. Having opted for a family membership with my partner, we've brought my spawn here several times. The kids space is pretty well set up. It would be nice if it were staffed a little more. I'd actually say that's one of the things the space lacks, is clear staffing. Everyone I've met so far has been friendly, and helpful. Very nice. The location is really central. Parking is the only real pain, weekends are pretty convenient. Lots of nearby food and beverage. Nibble moved in right next door. It's a great space.

Monday of Christmas week, there was ONE person working at a register. Christmas week! This is peak time for full shopping carts and gift cards, for which checking out at a register is preferred. The cashier just kept looking around as if to say, "Is anyone else coming?" Fortunately, I was only fourth in line (that's still bad enough). When I was finally at the register, she phoned for assistants, but by then, the line at this register was about 10 people and stretching into the main aisle. This is in addition to everything I wrote about years ago. Later in the day, I was at the Target in Saratoga/Wilton, where almost every register was active. The only reason I'll sometimes shop here is out of convenience, since it is the closest Target to me, and in a plaza with a few other stores at which I shop. But I'd pretty much prefer shopping at any other Target in the area when possible.
