It can be hit and miss for a female to feel comfortable at a barber shop. Especially when getting a fade. Some stylists do not perform them, one can't just go anywhere for a proper fade. -Prices are so reasonable, and they accept Venmo! -They are open 7 days a week! The women that did the hair for my friend was subpar at best. I called for an appointment for SHAMPOO, CUT, AND SHAVE. My friend is an older gentleman and just went along with what she was doing.i trusted she would do what I requested on the phone when appointment was made. No shampoo was done ,the shave looked horrible patches of hair on lip and cheeks.The cut was ridiculous almost shaven with a big curl left on forehead. The guy who cut my hair did it in under 10 minutes, and it showed. He smelled very badly of cigarettes. I asked him for a rinse with only water afterwards and he could not understand english very well at all. When he finally did get it that I wanted a wash with ONLY water he signaled that he understood and then immediately put shampoo in my hair (of course) - the water was also very cold but he could not understand me when I asked him to make it warm. Wow! I am SO HAPPY I walked in and asked if they did kids cuts. My 18 month old was looking like a total mess with an overgrown haircut. I've been driving to San Jose because the few places I tried in town said they wouldn't do an 18 month old or just had a bad vibe when we were getting his haircut. I asked for a fade on the back and sides and a half an inch trim off the top, I already had my hair styled how I wanted so I just wanted to trim it a little bit, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the barber did not speak fluent English and he pointed up at a poster on the wall, and asked, '2?'. If you come to this shop, do not get a haircut from the guy who sits outside smoking cigarettes. He's always out there and at first, when I've come here in the past, I didn't even know he worked here. He came in and serviced me immediately after getting off of a smoke break and reeked of tobacco, especially in his fingers which were in close proximity to my face. Then he sped through the cut doing a god-awful job. When he scissor cut the top, he didn't spray my hair with water so naturally the hair fell all over my face and itched for a good portion of the cut. When I pointed out a spot he missed he didn't offer to correct it. Bummer...no sooner had my husband discovered Mr. D's and had a great cut and experience, Mr. D is retiring. My husband got a cut from someone else at Mr. D's today. Neither the cut nor the experience were as good. Passable, but a quick job with far less attention to detail. When my husband came home, I had to trim spots that were missed. I have to say, it's not often my boyfriend gets his hair cut and enjoys it. He usually comes home with complaints for each place he goes to. We were visiting my family back home and I wanted to find a good barbershop that he would enjoy. I did just that. He got the Cadillac of hair cuts and beard trims for a very reasonable amount of money. He was all smiles for the entire day. The barber was careful, and even had a little vacuum to suck up residual hair. Which is a big deal to joe because he HATES leaving places covered in hair. We usually have to bring an extra shirt. I chose this place specifically because it says they cut kids hair and I wanted to use a local company instead of a chain. An older man cut my 6 year old son's hair and it was a nightmare. He was annoyed by my son immediately. The man let out a heavy sigh every time my son moved at all and said "he's going to need to stay still." I was incredulous. I said, "you cut children's hair correct?" to which I received no answer and my son got a terrible haircut. Do not take children here. This guy hates them. We were in town for a baby shower and my 3 year old son needed a hair cut. I called ahead of time and was able to schedule an appointment. Everything was good until we asked for the cut to be shorter. He rolled his eyes at my husband, turns around and looks at the lady who is also cutting hair. Huffs, puffs, and makes a big fuss about it. My sons hair was still too long and hanging in his eyes, so we asked for the top to be cut shorter as well. Originally he used a 6 for the bottom and we asked for a 4. Everything needed to be shorter. At that point you can feel the tension. Very poor understanding of customer requests. I asked for a fade, instead got a rough, jagged line in the back of my head. I went in with an 8 inch beard, and asked him to clean up the sides, but leave the bottom long. Before I knew what he was doing, he had removed my entire beard off of the right side of my face. Just like that. I held my anger, let him finish, and left. The only other time I went here, his wife had tried to do the same thing, but I caught her. Somehow, they both think that 'a little off of the sides' means cut the beard. I just don't get it. The job he did is a mess, also. I have a job interview later this week, and am worried I'll have to get another hair cut somewhere else before I go. It's that bad. read more

It was not very long but the lady barber was apologetic and thanked me for waiting. She was very pleasant and wanted me to be pleased with my haircut. She did a great job and was very nice as well.
