Mr Fix it is GREAT! Ivan was very professional, fast, experienced and fair. My dryer stopped heating and Ivan explained exactly what the problem was AND what CAUSED the problem. Maybe it's me, but I'm just not use to that. Not only did Ivan educate me on my dryer, he also gave me instructions for presenting my case to my leasing management (who are responsible for damaging the thermal component because they need to clean out vent from wall to outside). Awesome customer service. First of all, Manny actually answered the phone. That is the best case scenario in my book. Then he gave me options and worked me into his schedule for the same day. When you have tenants, they don't want to hear excuses and they don'twant extended fixes, they just want the problem gone. The day before Christmas our refrigerator developed a major leak. We weren't sure what to do, other than to unplug it. Emanuel was able to come out Christmas Eve and diagnose the issue with our compressor. I was preparing myself for a massive unexpected repair bill. However, he delivered a holiday miracle. Only $50 INCLUDING the service call/diagnostic fee. He was able to calibrate the compressor and informed us that a replacement wasn't needed. I know who we are calling for all future appliance work! :) TL;DR We knew nothing about fridge repairs. I thought we would need a major repair and Emanuel was able to fix it with just a minor adjustment. Total cost $50. read more

I am a little frustrated. I call within the hours of operation and leave a message, understood could be busy. Here it is 2 hours later and not even a return call. My thing is I know what is wrong with my item I just need to know if he 1) worked on the brand 2) had the part in stock and 3) the cost to replace it. Easy call didn't even need to be done tonight! I work in customer service and this is not good service at all. I don't like to be negative but in emergency situations a quick call back would be nice! UPDATE: I received a call back but it was over 12 hours later and when I was asking what he would charge to assist me since I found the part and had it half installed I was informed he was on a plane heading back to Atlanta... If you just need a quick, one-time fix, they are okay for it. Heaven forbid you need anything else done with your appliance. We needed our refrigerator looked at because it stopped running, Andy came by and looked at it and told us it was one of the boards. They ordered it and came the following Monday. Then there was another problem (still is) with my fridge....it would not maintain its temperature. So it's constantly on. I don't think they knew how to properly handle the wires and screwed it all up. I called them to come take a look at it again and said they would replace the new part that they just put it. First they would tell me they'll be by the next Tuesday. By the way, if you don't hear from them, you have to constantly call them to check. Here's what i got: "Oh, sorry, we've been busy we'll be out tomorrow." The next day they gave me the same "we'll be there tomorrow" answer. It took them 3 days to come out to replace the board again. When Emanuel last came to fix my dryer, he had noticed that I needed a new part and had ordered it after fixing the dryer so it would work until the part arrived. It ended up that, because my dryer is a cheap GE with multiple problems (there was a lawsuit over the fact that the seller, Lowe's, replaced the plastic hose on the display model with one made literally of tin foil when they sold or delivered them), everyone else with that model had the same problem and the part was seriously back-ordered, so seriously it took something like 3 months for it to arrive. Emanuel kept in touch with the parts people the whole time, even after they gave him the wrong part once and he had to take it back. When it arrived, he contacted me and came out on the day I requested to replace it. Not only did he replace the part quickly and efficiently, but he also noticed that my dryer was running too hot and cleaned the vents as well. In addition, it ended up that the correct part was less than the amount he had anticipated, so it was so much less expensive than I had feared and about one-tenth of what Sears or other services would have charged. Again, Emanuel was kind and polite (and an interesting conversationalist). I really appreciate all his help and sincerely recommend his services. read more

Manny is very good at what he does and has integrity. He diagnosed and repaired an AC unit which 2 previous service companies told us we would have to replace. It was a minor issue to fix, while he was there he checked my dryer and made some minor fixes to that as well to improve its efficiency. This guy is overpriced and very unprofessional. I called and made an appointment for 10 am by noon he had not shown up or called. I called him and he said he was enroute. He didn't arrive until 1:45. We have used This company twice so far and have gotten the best service. He's honest, hard working and answers his phone or texts very quickly. The bad reviews reflect when the original owner was out of the country and left the business to an associate and they were not able to maintain the same level of service. Emmanuel will come the same day usually and see what's wrong. Both times were for our air conditioning unit. He fixed it while we were out and then was willing to come back by so we could pay him. He's also been very helpful in telling us that the builders of our house put in units that are too small and in fact older than our house . Typical shady practice by builders. He serviced my mom's washer two years ago, did an excellent service, didn't over charge, and very reasonable pricing. Two years later mom's dryer broke, called him, and Manual still remembered mom and I!!! Came promptly, did repair, also did plumbing repair on the side, unclogged the kitchen drain. Now mom has a working kitchen sink. All that was done with me out of town! Since mom is elderly and hard of hearing, was a bit worried how it'll turn out since I wasn't there! I was having refrigerator issues. I looked up refrigerator repair on Yelp and this place had great reviews. And they were open on a Sunday. Score! So, I called. Someone answered right away. I explained the problem. He asked where I lived. I told him Alpharetta. "ALPHARETTA???!!!" he said as though Alpharetta was a place on the other side of the world. I get that it's OTP but jeez.... He told me that he'd have to speak to a dispatcher and that someone would call back right away. So I waited and waited and waited. Called back again almost 3 hours later. This time, my call was forwarded to voicemail. I think my phone number ended up on their "Do Not Answer" list like a bad ex-boyfriend. Awesome. I called another repair place who answered the phone and gave me a time when their repair person would be out at my place. Much better than Mr Fix It!
