This place never disappoints! Always excellent food and service. Fun trivia night on Tuesdays at 8pm. The guy that runs trivia (I think his name is Mark) is hilarious and makes it so fun. The potato skins are such a wonderful appetizer, along with the steak bites, which are so tender. The salads are excellent and fresh. I love the julienne salad. Delicious sandwiches too. I really like the chicken salad sandwich, and you can make it a lettuce wrap instead of using bread. My boyfriend loved the French dip sandwich. Fun ambiance! Stopped in on a Sunday evening around 8 for drinks and appetizers. It was plenty of seats at the bar. I ordered a sangria and it was so good I had to get another one. I had sweet potato waffle fries and my friend had a chicken quesadilla. They both were good. We also had "mini beer" shots....cute and tasty lil drink. The bartender was very nice and attentive. Pretty good spot that is full of people. Came here for lunch today and was surprised at how fast the service and food was. I actually forgot to take photos this time around. I ordered the potato skins and they are definitely house made. I also ordered a burger and fries. The burger comes with better made chips, but I wanted fries. Everything was great. It was a friendly location for locals and more. Everyone in there acted as if they knew each other and nothing but smiles. The restaurant was also clean. I was recommended to come for dinner. My experience was okay. I only had a salad which was okay. My mango drink was terrible, I didn't even bother to finish drinking it. My wife and I went here hoping to enjoy a meal while catching the NFL playoffs. The food was good and the service was great, but they had what is possibly the worst karaoke DJ known to Man. Doesn't feel like a neighborhood bar anymore and after 3 years of not going, gave it another chance today and my quesadilla was gross. No favor and overcooked mushrooms that tasted like a hamburger. Decent place to go for lunch. Good atmosphere, TVs are everywhere. Service is hit and miss. Some day waitress are nice, some of them has a sour face. Food is ok, main item is their burger. Others are meh. You can make your burger however you want BUT watch out for extra charge. A lot of items is extra $1.25 so watch out. This is one of my very favorite local neighborhood bars. Joe's is conveniently located in the 12 Mile / Northwestern Hwy area. There's plenty of free parking in an adjacent lot. There's comfy booth seating, tables and a large bar. There are TVs strategically placed throughout which makes Joe's a great place to watch a game. The food is good and boudin they pour the drinks! My faves are the wings, potatoes skins, steak bites and (omg) the burgers. Servers are super friendly and not only remembers your name but all of your favorite foods and drinks. read more

This was our first time at Mr. Joe's and we will definitely return. It's a nice bar atmosphere with plenty of large screen TVs. The booths are spacious and there are ample tables and bare seating. I went 8/27/2024 to meet former co workers and I knew I wanted a good ole bar burger, cuz they are the best. Right? I ordered the half pound cheeseburger medium well and fries. The fries were great but my burger was rare and tasted plain no salt pepper. I returned the burger to be made as I ordered. It came back well done. I just wrapped it up and left it on the plate. Not sure I will ever be back. If you can't make a simple burger, I don't want to try anything else. Service was good and the place has a great feel, but I'm one and done. read more

Every kind of potatoes you can think o, give it a try and I am sure you will keep coming back. Our favorite is Tater Tot nachos hold the tomatoes extra cheese. Get the 1/2 order because the full order is way to big for two. Drinks are always cold and good is always hot. If you are ready for a new late night meaning after 8pm than Mr. Joe's is the place to be. They also have an awards program so the more you spend the bigger the discounts you receive. Let's see where do I start? I know how about the bar tender heather! Rude and not very good at her job. The food is extremely overrated. If you haven't been there before and they don't recognize you then you can expect to be treated like a stranger. The vibe is very bad. I won't go back there ever again!! They advertise that place like it's some kind of a gem. I will say if you're a regular visitor and they know you by name then they will be very welcoming to you. Greatfully! the Steak Bites were amazingly very tender! & tasty! So much so that I opted to take the wings home because I didn't need a backup appetizer I really enjoyed their housemade zip and later on the carrots that accompany the celery sticks for the Pub Wings. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to dip my crostini in the zip sauce but I did, is that an etiquette fax pas? The piece de resistance was Mr. Joes Famous Burger. I ate The Piedmontese with sauteed mushrooms, grilled onions & some pepper jack cheese, it was all amazingly juicy and very, very tasty. Washed it all down with a draft beer, Blake's Flannel Mouth Cider which I didn't know was a cider, because on the house menu it just says Blake's Flannel. I only had a sandwich and some mozzarella sticks but those were good and other people seemed happy with their meals - but mostly here to say the atmosphere / service at this place is unmatched. Amy & Heather who I got the opportunity to have as bartenders and servers both times I came (and they're sisters! How fun) both went beyond the call of normal service. This place was the closest nearby spot to an emergency vet I took my dog to after an attack. I was obviously a bit solemn when I came in the first time for lunch and immediately they asked me if I was okay and both came around the bar to hug me when tears started welling and listened to my story and showed so much care and compassion for my poor doggy. When I came back a week later they recognized me IMMEDIATELY and asked how my boy was doing and were overjoyed when I said he's healing well and getting stitched up today. I also wanted to come back to get their names just so I could be sure to mention them by name in a review because they certainly deserve it. Outside of that, clearly they (and the rest of the staff here) have compassion and familiarity with mostly everyone who walked in the door. They impressively remembered names, usual orders, and asked specific questions about peoples' lives (and I was sitting at the bar for a long time while I waited for my dog both times and got to witness LOTS of interactions) - all were overwhelmingly positive. Haven't been to Mr. Joes in over 20 years. I remember the place being kind of dumpy and smokey but had a real good burger. The burgers were so good that whenever I was working in the area, I'd try and stop at Mr. Joe's to eat. The place has been totally redone ala sports bar. Lots of tv's with clean, comfortable seating. I was hoping the burgers would be as good after all these years and I was not disappointed. Our burgers arrived a perfect medium rare as ordered and had great flavor. The buns tasted like they were just baked! Service was also good and responsive. I'm happy to see Mr Joe's has withstood the test of time and has maintained their basic excellence without trying to reinvent themselves. If I'm back in the area, I know where I'm going. read more
