My dad used to take me to little hole in the wall restaurants, places you wouldn't notice if you didn't know they were there. They always had the best food and the best people. I'm a caterer who was waiting for an event to be over so I could go back and collect my equipment and my daughter suggested we have dinner here while we wait. It's a smaller location that seems to have just opened, so I'm giving them a little latitude for a learning curve. I met up with a friend who recently moved out this way and he suggested Sidecar, as he'd never been before. I've been to quite a few locations on the Eastside. We both like Dirty Martinis, but were disappointed when they didn't have a top self selection of vodka and no blue cheese olives??!!! What is happening here? Been to this place twice now and both times it was good. The first time we had the vegan sloppy Joe's and they were very good. We also had the fried pickles and french fries which were also very good. Our next visit we had the vegan sliders and they were good too. They also have a couple of other vegan options which we have not tried yet and we spoke with the owner and he said that they are considering expanding their menu to accommodate more vegan options which would be very nice. So, if you're looking for a place to eat and you are vegan you can certainly find something here. Our service the first time was amazing! Our server was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. The second time though it was not great but also not horrible our server seemed to be spending more time talking at the bar rather than following up with us on things like water, food, and getting the bill (that's how it goes sometimes with restaurants). The vibe was good you can see that they are excepting of everyone and the place was clean. If you want there is an option to sit outside and enjoy the sun if you're not feeling like being indoors or in a crowded restaurant. A real find! I came here for the first time and immediately realized that I had come to the right place. The atmosphere has its own rhythm: at the start, everything was buzzing, but over time it became calmer, and this allowed me to really relax. The food left a very pleasant impression - every dish was made with the soul. No compromises on taste, everything in its place. I saw Sidecar Slider Bar on a top burger list and decided that we must try them out - and was thrilled to find out that there was one less than 10 minutes from our house. After a lot of debate, my hubby got a Smokehouse slider and whatever the slide of the day was (it had bacon, that is all I recall). I had to try the ahi tuna slider and mushroom swiss slider. I love ahi and this was expertly cooked - a good sear and bright red in middle. The mushroom swiss slider had zip sauce on it and that kept the patty moist. There are so many great sliders on the menu but I feel like I'm always going to get the ahi slider and the mushroom swiss one will be on heavy rotation. The pulled pork was the worst I've ever had, zero flavor. I tried and tried but eventually ate everything and left the pork. I sat at the bar, bar tender was on her phone about 75% of the time I was there...fine by me, but she could have waited until after taking my order. I've had Sidecar before but not from this location - I've done takeout from the (now-defunct) Commerce location before and I've also physically been to the Bham one. We ordered Doordash from here tonight because we wanted cheese curds. I ordered the 2am slider, no ketchup, and the mushroom Swiss one, since I haven't tried that one yet. The 2am one was my favorite but both were good. My boyfriend ordered the 911 slider and another spicy one and also liked both. Sidecar lets you sub pretzel buns for no charge, which is awesome, and they were super tasty. The cheese curds were delicious and a HUGE serving for about $9. My only complaint is that they were a bit greasy. Culver's is still my fave for cheese curds but I don't think they deliver. Overall about 4 sliders and the large cheese curds cost us $32 before tip, which wasn't bad, and I'm sure it would be a little cheaper at the actual restaurant, too. Everything was so good! My mom and I split the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls to start. These were crispy, hot and so flavorful. I chose the hotdog with the pulled pork and the fried chicken slider. The chicken slider was good. I did end up having to eat that leftover because everything else was so filling I ran out of room. I'm sure it would have been better if it were fresh. I was absolutely blown away by the hotdog. It was a really good size and you could taste the quality of the meat. The toppings were fantastic as well. I also tried some of my mom's cheese curds. She went to talk to friends/customers sitting at table and did not come back for 15 minutes to take drink order. I'm glad I gave them a try today - delicious, fresh food on a nice big patio in downtown Farmington with lots of parking. I arrived right as they opened on a Saturday at noon, and they were ready to go. The patio quickly filled up behind me, and I'm glad to see they're busy. Very affordable, and probably a great place for kids because they can choose a slider or two and fries and such. I actually had their veggie pita and Brussels sprouts appetizer. Yum! The pita bread was fresh, warm and soft, and the goat cheese gave just enough creamy tang to the roasted veggies and greens. Nice greens, by the way, not basic lettuce. My favorite thing was actually the Brussels sprouts. You see them on menus everywhere, but these were really good. They're fried and actually full of crispy bits, with bacon and blue cheese. I came here with a couple of friends for a late evening dinner, right before things started shutting down due to COVID-19. We had great service and food. For appetizers, we shared Brussels sprouts. They had a good balsamic flavor and generous amount of fresh bacon (not dried bacon bits). It was a bit heavy on the bleu cheese, which I picked out. For my meal, I ordered the fish & chips slider and the Nosferatu hot dog with a small side of tots. The fish & chips slider was described on the menu as including battered cod, cole slaw and waffle fry - mine didn't have the fry in it, but the sandwich had good flavor. I didn't really mention the missing dry due to the ample tater tots I had on the side (more on that later). I ended up throwing out the top bun on the slider because it was thick and I didn't need the extra carbs. The bread didn't seem special; it was just a standard mini hamburger bun, not toasted. The Nosferatu hotdog was delicious. It was an all-beef juicy hotdog with fried pickles, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli. Everything came together nicely and I'd definitely order it again. As for the tater tots, they provided a generous amount for it being a small order. I shared with my friends and still could barely finish (due to the amount of food, not because they weren't good). They were hot and crunchy. I'm really glad I chose tots instead of fries. Hopefully this restaurant is doing okay in spite of the pandemic, because I'd like to come back in the future to try more menu items. read more

trying to do a DoorDash for a guest and as I came in with it saying it was ready 7 minutes ago, I have now been standing for over 50 minutes with barely any communication from staff. there are very few people in restaurant yet the wait time is unbelievable. they just lost both a current and future customer. food will probably be mediocre as it's taking so long. a bartender woman could be helping my order complete yet she's being overly friendly and hugging different customers. I was the first person to get into the store for my pickup and now am the last one to leave. this is horrible service.
