First time here last week. Met some friends for dinner. Did not count on the Saturday college football fanatics who were there to watch the MSU game. The place was absolutely packed. Fortunately the other couple had put in a reservation. Sill had to wait about 15 minutes but we finally got a high top. Served pretty quick by a smiling waitress. Drinks came out quickly. Ordered the Patty Melt and the sautéed perch. The perch were excellent. Served with baked and coleslaw. My wife said her patty melt was very good and she saved half for a second meal. The only downside to our visit was the noise level. We could not carry on a conversation. Will be happy to come back but not on a college game day. This is still a go to place in my book. read more

I don't think the wait staff should be eating their shift meal RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of the busiest time of the "night". Our new waitress , Emily kept disappearing for long lengths of time and we all eventually saw her sitting by the door, back to us eating like they just opened and she had no tables. She also had tables outside and tables spread out inside, making it very difficult to track her down for more anything. Very disappointing We would order a round of drinks she would go put it in at the bar and then go sit down and eat while the stuff was sitting up at the bar underneath the rack that we could see for 8 to 10 minutes. Coach's Corner is one the truly friendly sports bars that I have visited. The food is excellent and the staff is outstanding. I send a special not of appreciation to Lisa and Mackenzie. Had breakfast there with a group of friends. Place was clean and presented well. We arrived at opening with no one else in the place. In 30 minutes the place was bustling. Lots of people sitting at the bar at 9am. I suspect most were golfers. Food was good but service was on the slower side. While they serve food it's not their main focus. The alcohol is the focus. My eggs arrived cold but the others in my group said their food was good. Once food was dropped off no further contact from wait staff. The food was delicious and around average price granted inflation. We shared a bacon cheeseburger which was juicy and flavorful with a decent amount of bacon, and the fish and chips, which were some of the best I've had in a long time. Was there for a funeral lunch in. I sat at an open table. A worker ask me to move to a high table. I told her I cannot sit at a high table because of my handicap. The worker made me feel so uncomfortable and I started feeling like I was going to be a problem and because they need that table for a bigger party family that was at the same funeral that I was at.. If they were saving that table for this family in the same funeral I am at they should of put a sing or something at that table. The worker said that the family had asked them to save 20 seats for this family to sit together but again they should of put a sing on that table for this family. I ended up walking out and I left. This was my first time here. It's located at the golf course. We got there around 4pm on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded but busy. The have a lot of tvs to watch different games. Definitely loud and its a typical sports bar. The service was good. We didn't have to wait long and our waiter checked on us a few times throughout the meal. Food was delicious. Coaches corner is probably an amazing hit after golfing! I came here for an event with others. The staff were very nice service was on the slower side.. idk if the girl was newer but she didn't check on us too often and we had to ask for the bill. Food was alright. Not impressed by any means. It was pretty crowded here. I didn't take any photos also it was loud with the game's playing on different tvs a few patrons were yelling and laughing loudly. Im glad people were having a good time, seems like they have alot of regulars here which is cool. Id love to see more ambiance and environment here tho. Maybe its just the crowd it attracts. Ether way its a decent place to grab a bite to eat and a drink. Id come back if I were to golf all day or something for sure read more

I will not be back. Save your money and go to Art & Jakes where prices are cheaper and service is better. Tried to stop in for a quick bite. We were sat promptly, then proceeded to wait over 10 minutes as the hosts and waitresses walked by us. My husband finally stopped an older heavy set blond waitress to ask her if she could send our wait person by. She then asks if we know who our person is. I tell her we've been waiting 10 minutes. She says "please don't yell at me". I looked at her baffled, the bar was LOUD but I most certainly didn't yell. My husband tells her just that and she again asks if we knew who our person was. Obviously not if we stopped you to ask, but she probably couldn't hear or compute as she seemed bothered and flustered that we stopped her. Getting pretty cheap here on owners part . Start charging 3% for charge cards usage then they advertise that beer of month is $4.99 but when you get bill it is $5.00. Crunchy fried batter shields juicy, melt-in-your-mouth cod. Partnered with uber-crispy fries, they're a perfect, if largely unhealthy, combo with a few cold brews to top off a weekend dinner. Visited here once. Seems like a Cheers type of atmosphere. The food was decent. Service was pretty good. The parking is a nightmare. So if you don't come early, you probably won't find a spot. The inside is small, so it doesn't take much to fill up. They do have a trivia game night where people seem to come out just for that. The prices were pretty reasonable. read more

Decided to pick this place for my birthday dinner. The place has always been a solid choice for a meal. Tonites fish and chips was terrible. It was almost like it was reheated. Never seen deep fried cod fish this dark and crisp. To the point of making the fish into bits of greasy pieces of fish. The coating was so crisp that cutting the fillet of fish it would just smash what little fish that wasn't a greasy mush mess. My sons meal was the same way. She looked into it and no fresh basil or any basil was used but was tod its on there. They run excellent specials on wings ($0.50 each, all the time... but I swear they used to be cheaper) and beer (Ken got a Bud boomba for $2 last night, and we saw a $5 PBR pitcher on the menu, after already ordering drinks). There is not a bad seat in the house, TVs all over the place, a crowd that understands the game, every seat was full on a Friday afternoon rooting on team USA!!!! The place is jammed, the noise is unbelievably loud, its very hard to hear the announcer and his microphone is shrill and gives feedback noise. They don't even use one of the many screens to project the trivia questions which would have helped. My team left feeling like we'd been assaulted. The waitress was friendly but clearly overworked. The table that was available was not clean she had to come wipe it off, while I'm sitting there from previous customers which should have been cleaned up soon as they left (I let it slide). SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! I can not review the food because I never got to place an order. First time I went to the new location. I went on a Tuesday and the place was not that busy, lots of empty tables and was seated immediately. I asked for a water and when the waiter came with it he asked if I was ready to order. I asked him for a minuet more. I quickly made a choice and waited for his return. The tables around me began to fill and my waiter gave them drinks and even came back and took their order. The place wasn't all that crowded at all. I had the French Dip instead of the burger like I suggested last time. This is an outstanding sandwich. The au jus was thicker and deep tasting beef flavor. The beef was thinly sliced and had no fat. Very good. The fries were okay. Nothing special, just hot and complimented the sandwich very well. The bar is clean and well lit.
