While it's on the edge of town and seems a bit out of the way, it really is only a few straight streets to get there. And parking is easy. We ordered our food for pick up - it was ready when we arrived. They also packaged the hot and cold items separately. I don't like hot salads. My go-to is the Chicken Shawerma plate. The chicken is tender and savory with hints of nutmeg and citrus. This time I added the Kafta which is ground beef and formed to a hot dog shape. It had a rich beef taste with the addition of herbs. I like the light/fluffiness of the Basmati rice as a complement to the rich flavors of their meat. The plates come with a small side salad. Like the rice, it's simple and light. Again, this is a good compliment to the hearty meats. I like their Hommus; this is the binding flavor to pull together the meat and rice. The Vegetarian Plate has an abundance of flavors. As a kid my first experience with stuffed grape leaves was terrible, so it's my test item. These stuffed grape leaves are good. They have a slight tang of vinegar, with the smoothness of the olive oil and Mediterranean spices. The Falafel, a deep fried ball of chopped chickpeas and parsley, has a very mild flavor but adds a crunch not readily found in the rest of the menu. The Tabbouli, which is finely chopped parsley, tomatoes, onion with crushed wheat, and seasoned with lemon and olive oil is very refreshing. It has a nice zippy tang. The vegetarian Sambousa, which is a fried egg roll stuffed with pureed vegetables was bland. Next time I may add their Hommus to this. Overall, we liked the richness of their meats and the variety of flavors of their Vegetarian Plate. read more

Definitely, one of those hole-in-the-wall places out here in Redlands! Mr Kebab offers delicious Mediterranean food in this deserted wasteland located so close to Loma Linda. I always order the mix plate of 3 with beef kebab, lamb kebab, and beef shwarma! The long-grained rice is soft and smells fresh, and the grilled tomato doesn't make me feel like I'm eating a vegetable. The restaurant is quiet and the ambiance is fancier than you may expect. The chicken shawarma was dry. 2. I've had better hummus at luna grill. 3. And they call that pita bread? It looks and taste like a tortilla to me. 4. The beef on that beef shawarma tasted like it was cooked, cooled, then reheated again. And overall seasonings were either non-existent or way off. We being going here for many years, but yesterday was our last time here. First, girl takes order by memory if you ask any questions she will go back and ask your order again then she continues taking orders. It was 8 of us, plus 2 more to go and she wants to this by "memory" but she failed terribly. When the food was ready she of course brings what supposed to be the to go order to the table and when Shes told that was to go she has the audacity to blame you! the customer, like you don't know what food is to go and does not apologize for it. Ok but first they bring the salad in a huge plate ( not a salad plate) then the rest of your order in another plate, table is full of unnecessary plates. Then we start eating but not really, because she forgets that i asked for bread, and later she forgets i asked for boxes to go. Constantly i had to asked twice. She needs to realized that she forgets!!.. and place is empty! anyways food is not edible taste like really bad quality meat, they make your Kufta meat very long and skinny so u think your getting a lot, so long that it doesn't even fit in your to go box.. Salad and rice not good either... not anymore..This is what did it to me, when I asked for more desert and can u believe the audacity of this girl who thought i was so funny because i couldn't pronounce it correctly that she laughed for about a minute and a half thinking it was a joke, Infront of all us! Very disrespectful, ungrateful, forgetful and rude!! My sister and my daughter were upset at her reaction and asked me why is she laughing at you?! Never going back. The food is amazing, since this was my first visit I wanted to try a nice assortment, so I went with the mixed plate of Chicken Shawerma, Beef Kebab, and Falafel. Hummus is fresh as can be, Pita fresh out of the oven, everything was fresh as can be. As amazing as the food is, the owners Sam, and his parents Waled and Hanaa (hopefully I got the spelling correct) are even more amazing. Congenial, appreciative, and down to earth humans. The picture of the place on the website are spot on. The food was prepared excellent. The service was better then most. The hostess was friendly and helpful. My friends had been there before and recommended different items. The are there meals and commented how good they were. The name of the place was Mr Kabab. O had to try the kabab plate. The salad and hummus came first and was tasty o could have just ate that. The rice and kabab off the stick came with roasted tomato and onion. A bag with two pita bread came along and was good. The server / owner who helped us with our online order was very sweet. He proudly exclaimed he gave us an extra baklava in our order. We ordered two pitas, one piece of dessert, and two plates, one lamb and one beef shawarma. Lamb cubes were over cooked and tough to chew. Jaw still sore from so much chewing. Beef shawarma was so dry, it's as if it was bottom of the tray meat which sat and dried out out under a heat lamp. The beef shawarma pita was also dry. We had to slather our food in the hummus which needed bit more lemon juice. Saving grace was the baklava and chicken shawarma pita. This chicken was seasoned and cooked well. Standard side salads were had the traditional olive oil and lemon dressing. With the food being mostly dry and over cooked, I'm not sure I'd go back again for seconds. read more

Used to come when they had the lunch buffet but hadn't been here in a long time. It was a disappointing return. Chicken Shawarma was cut into tiny pieces and seemed dry and maybe even kind of tasted like leftover/next day chicken. The bread was very thin, almost tortilla like. We love this place but the last time I was here I got the Tabouli salad and 2 falafel sandwiches. The salad was $19 and the box was half full. The sandwiches are tiny. I did take a look at some of the older reviews after I visited and I'm sad to say I may have not tried Mr Kebab had I seen that multiple customers complained that a man affiliated with the business made comments that Covid was a joke, among other Covid related comments. I always place my order over the phone, the gentleman who usually takes my order is always very kind and explains throughly any questions I made have. Falafel is really good! I usually get the chicken kabob plate well done and always ask for extra olives with my plate. Portions are big and basically can feed to meals for the day for one person.
