Combo Plate (potato salad, spicy hummus)
    Kenneth L.

Updating my review because I've had spoiled food twice. First time was a little while ago with a ful bean soup tasting rotten, then again today, when I realized both the garlic sauce and the tahini for my order was rotten. Not sure what's up with them, but definitely a decline in quality control and food safety.

Tasty spot for chicken kabob, beef kabob! I love the versatility of the plates, where you can adjust meat types and side dishes. Their food is truly flavorful and generous portions. It's a casual spot, and perfect for takeaway dinner.

Option of take out or dine in. Inside is limited with seating, about 4 tables, but there are also outside patio tables. We were greeted when walking in but a bit of a delay when getting order taken. I do appreciate the hostess bringing our food to our table, due to my limited mobility. I would say its pretty costly but the portion sizes were generous. The combo mix came with a good portion of meat while the lamb kebob only had 6 pieces. The rice was well seasoned and it was the perfect bite of hummus, turnip, lamb, rice, wrapped in pita bread. Reasonably, we went an hour before closing time but the trashcans needed to be emptied and tables could have used a wipe down.

My friend brought me here for lunch yesterday and everything was so amazing! He had the lamb kabab plate while I got the chicken shawarma bowl. The rice was soft and flavorful. The meat was well-seasoned, tender, and perfectly cooked. And the garlic sauce was the best I've ever had- very strong garlic taste! Service was wonderful. We did use the tablet to order, but the waitress hand-delivered our meals to our tables and was friendly! It was quiet inside the restaurant, but that may because it was less busy when we went. There is limited seating though, so be wary of that

I came during a busy time (one person and at least 4 to-go orders before me) -- the wait was about 15 minutes before my food arrived. The food was flavorful and the portion was enough for two relatively full meals. Ambience was casual.

This gem is located in the 'Canyon Crest Towne Centre' shopping center near Ralph's with plenty of parking. There's inside and outside seating. We wanted a good, but fast-casual Mediterranean meal so this was a great find. I had their 'Beef Shawarma' Plate which consists of rice, topped with beef, 2 cold sides, 1 sauce, and piece of pita bread. I had the hummus and potato salad as sides, which were both excellent choices. The beef was tender and flavorful and the garlic paste was a great addition. I also took home a few yummy 'Walnut and Pistachio Baklavas' to enjoy later in the day. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, good service, and fair prices. Overall, we had a great time here and will definitely return to try more of their menu!

Small inside so not much seating. Service was a little slow but they had a lot of take out. My fries were overcooked. The wrap was good but needed more garlic sauce & pickles. My husband said his lamb was undercooked & the meat was chewy. Although he ordered a plate, they never gave him a sauce that's supposed to come with it. I probably wouldn't return.

We have been to numerous Mediterranean restaurants and I think this one gets an outstanding prize. Two things really stood out for me: 1. The overall taste was delightful, in particular, the Chicken wrap I had had a special memorable taste. The chicken was done nicely keeping the meat juicy. There were also generous amounts of meat in the wrap. 2. For the lamb Shish kebab bowl, we got salad only, so it was like a lamb salad. I was surprised that there were 6 or 7 large pieces of lambs, they were tender and delicious. Their garlic sauce and Tanini sauce were both lovely. Services from the counter and chef from kitchen were both prompt, friendly, and helpful. There are both inside and outside seating, both clean and comfortable. It was 97F but it was still pretty comfortable seating in the outside patio area.

We came out to riverside for a show & decided to grab a bite to eat here. It was insanely busy & we were asked to order on the tablet. It's quite small inside but do have outdoor seating. My lamb plate was ok just a lot of gristle which it was kinda difficult to eat with plastic cutlery but the bites I did get to enjoy were tasty. The fries were a little over cooked & needed some salt but I didn't mind em. I'd leave it up to you guys to try & make your own opinions because it was obviously busy but it just wasn't for me.

Tahini Salad : HORRIBLE by the way

Probably the worst meal I've had in a long time, star rating 1.5/5 Price: reasonable for the area and the portions are good Service- fairly quick, took 20 mins to receive our order which was fine in during 4-5pm rush Ambiance and restaurant- the fly air units in the doors do not work, there was flies around the area which was pretty disgusting, flies in restaurants when it's open kitchen style means maggots and larvae somewhere in the restaurant, fix your fly system, place is very small with only 5 tables inside, outside patio available Dishes: tahini salad: fair portion for $6 if it wasn't drowned in "yogurt", salad was premade and I can tell as tomatoes were old, possibly sitting inside the mix, or maybe made to order and tomatoes were just bad to begin with Rice: horrible presentation and odd taste, if you are making vermicelli rice at least focus on presentation and use traditional long grain white rice, and less water, water ratio was off in this rice as you can see it looks mushy Red cabbage salad: full of dressing/oils and bottom of the pan was drowning as well, not measured Kefta kabab skewer: generic, neutral, $7, 4oz meat, not too bad for restaurant, just not presentable I guess Spicy hummus: medium low generic recipe, tasted skimmed down, which is common to save money, aldis has stronger hummus and that's a supermarket Garlic sauce: unfortunately its sauce, which is weaker and cheaper blend, just personal opinion here, I like it when it's actual garlic and stronger, it's Mediterranean food after all, no spices or much flavor, then it American Pickled vegetables: the juice was straight pretty much pickle juice, I expected maybe the generic vinegar mix, Chicken/ beef: low flavor/ season, steak is possibly chuck steak meat, no tender, I had personally asked medium, was more well done Drink fountain: I had gotten a water cup, I realized the back splash section of the drink area was dirty, which could be due to soda splash if overfilled, but the black edges were the soda generally doesn't touch was dirty, possibly build up for days or so, the water section of the water fountain was dark, it's a water fountain, how did it become black/dirty? Easy, no enough cleaning, I provided a photo of the said fountain area by the way Restaurants I've tried for reference:wtfalafel, cava, urbane cafe, bjs Mediterranean bowl, Sam's pita and kabab, east coast restaurants, and more. This is by far the worst plate I've eaten and sits at the bottom of all restaurants in general, even fast food mom and pop shops. With poor quality, presentation and taste, wouldn't recommend to anyone, make your 15-20 drive elsewhere

I went to checkout this place after seeing a post on social media recently. The food was really good and made fresh. Then later I went back with my wife and she liked it also.

My first time at Georgie's Mediterranean cuisine and unfortunately i was left with mixed feelings. I will say the location is pretty small and crammed. There is only a few indoor seats but the outdoor seating was not too bad. They offer several options shawarma, kabobs, wraps, and more. And overall my friends and i enjoyed the food. I myself ordered the 3 kabob combo plate with the steak being the star of the show cooked to perfection. Everything had good flavor and we really enjoyed it. The reason why i had to give 3 stars was because of the wait time. So 4 of us all ordered separately but at the same time (one after the other). 3 of us received our food about 15 minutes after i say and they were busy with to go order so we understand. But our 4th friend did not get her food til 30 Minutes after. At about 20 minutes i did ask and they assured me it was coming out soon but still took a while to come out. By that point the rest of our food was cold. So overall the food was great but the service/ time it took to receive was a bit of a let down which is unfortunate.

Georgie's is a casual Mediterranean place in Riverside, CA. There's plenty of free parking in the lot in front of the complex. They also offer a discount for Riverside students. We ordered takeout when it was relatively empty and the food came out in 20 minutes. The chicken kebab plate came with 2 sides and rice. The rice is mixed with vermicelli, which wasn't my favorite and the chicken was a little bland. The dolmas were also too salty for my liking. Also, the food wasn't packed well - it spilled all over the bag, which was a little inconvenient. However, the food was affordable and the people that worked there were super nice and accommodating.

I ordered 2 of the chicken kabob plates which did take about 20 min to come out which means your food is coming out fresh and it's worth the wait. The salad had great seasoning, very refreshing, although I wasn't a big fan of the pickles or yellow peppers in it. The chicken is juicy and flavorful and you think the rice is just plain white rice but it's so buttery and soft! The plate comes with one pita bread to dip in the tasty hummus that was also yummy and not too sour like some places can be. Overall food is 10/10 you get a big meal with lots of flavor. I had leftovers so I would say you can share 1 plate and be fine. The place is a little old and outdated but I think that's how you know a place is gonna serve you some good food. The staff was also friendly and I believe this is Palestinian owned which is always nice to support :)
