It's time I give these guys a good review. This is my go-to for everything. Who has time to make an extra stop after work to go to Duane Reade off Flushing? Ran by a couple generations of koreans. Always nice and pleasant. Always open. Fresh fruits and veggies. Most importantly they have Neoguri spicy noodles. No where conveniently close to the myrtle/broadway stop has the Korean noodle selection they have. It's right next to the market hotel (if you can find the entrance), so easily brown bag it. The prices are higher but fair. Considering you don't have to walk over to Food Dimensions and wait in the long line, especially the first of every month, it's a good collateral. UPS: they take cards. they got a juicer. good oriental food selection. beer selection is solid. good people. DOWNS: have to say blunt wrap like 3x every time. No fresh meat. Doesn't matter what i buy, i walk out feeling healthier because i shop there. read more

Hurray Mr. Kiwi, what a welcome to this neighbor hood. I have lived here for three years now and as much as I love my Spanish food I am Asian so having more Asian selections is a much welcomed addition. Mr. Kiwi has a lot of "green" products as well as products that cater to a healthier life style such as "wheat free" , "sugar free" and "meat free" items and many being organic. They have fantastic produce and the prices are reasonable. I would say mid range. I gave only 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. Kiwi tend to rotate/change their brands time to time so if you get used to one item it may not be there a month later, it maybe replaced with a similar product but you will need to introduce your self to it. The store is quite small but has a great selection, I agree with another reviewer in that I wish they had a frozen items area. What I like also about Kiwi is as another reviewer mentioned is that Kiwi will lower some prices as the expiration date gets closer, very mindful, there is definitely some thought here. Again welcome to the hood and thank you again for bringing a touch more Asian tastiness to the area. If you're in Bushwick, you have no excuse for shopping anywhere else. Really. They're the absolute best. Dear Mr. Kiwi- Thank you for the dollar bags of mini red peppers and garlic, the prepared fruit platters for 3.49, the Kombucha, the cheap produce, the dollar bags of almonds and peanuts, and the vegetarian options in the bleak grocery scene of Bushwick. I think you're great. You alone will transform this fried-chicken eatin, high-fructose-guzzling neighborhood into somewhere that healthy people might be able to live. I would LOVE if you got a freezer and sold some frozen veggie goods, and maybe still stocked the Siggi's Yogurt (which is the best stuff in the world- especially the pear/mint kind). I would love you even more if you got some farm fresh non-homogenized milk- like Ronnybrook. Sometimes, Mr.Kiwi, the milk I buy from your fridge doesn't really last til the expiration date- and makes me wonder. But really, I want non-homogenized. I proudly wear your Mr.Kiwi's canvas bag all around town, and know that without you, Mr.K, I'd almost never be able to buy groceries anywhere near my overly-ghetto, way-out-of-my-gangsta-league apartment building. I really like this store. A lot. But unfortunately I will not be visiting at longer due to location. Sadly there is a drug treatment facility across the street and drug addicts frequently hand near the entrance - frequently panhandling, sometimes aggressively. To the point where they are at the entrance and you have to walk around or very close to them to get by. Being a single young female this makes me very uncomfortable. Secondly, everyone wears masks but front staff does not ask for people to keep 6 feet away when checking out. Today while I was paying the next lady in line reaches in front of me to put her groceries on the table. A man walked by me and touched my upper arm to mine. I cannot come back to this place in Covid times. I will have to go to Hana Naturals and may extra for peace of mind. read more

I was told there was a place that did $4 freshly made juices so I had to find out for myself. This place is legit! I briefly wandered through the grocery area and, as some other reviewers have mentioned, some of the pricing on packaged foods was a little steep but the produce seemed to be fairly priced. $1 avocados, can't beat that! Onto the juice review -- AMAZING! You can choose whatever ingredients you want in your juice (or take a suggestion from one of the super sweet ladies working the juice bar) for just $4. I repeat, $4! A juice that size anywhere else could easily run you $8-10. Anyway, the produce is nicely chilled so the juices are super refreshing. I love this place! The line can get long and you have to pay for the juice in the same line as grocery shoppers but it's well worth the wait. read more

If this spot wasnt 24/7, I'd give them 2 stars I liked this spot better when I first moved into this neighborhood about 8 years ago. It was way less crowded, more affordable and the produce was better quality. The layout sucks and is often overcrowded Unless you are getting a juice, do yourself a favor and go to the new City Fresh market on bushwick ave (its only 2-3 blocks away from kiwis) I feel like I will only continue coming to this spot for their $4 juices (i was sad the day they raised the price, but it's still a good deal!), their artisan bread selection, and if I realize that I need or want something after 10pm, when my new go-to spot is closed up for the day. Lately, their produce is kinda blowing it. Three times in a row, I got berries from them and within 2 days, my berries got moldy! That's ridiculous! Their prices also got quite inflated within the past year and a half, quality decreased and prices increase? Yea, no thanks.. I'm no sap, mama raised me better. I stopped coming here and just making sure I'm better stocked at home. Their meat selection sucks, cheese selection sucks. Okay, they have a shit-ton of chips, but guess what... Now stay fresh deli and grill has the same chip variety, actually better! This place has been here since forever.... I was trying to keep this place a neighborhood secret. I have enjoyed them for years. Now it's too damn crowded but it is the cheapest place in the area to get any produce. They have extreme sales like 3 for $1 avocados . Definitely can't beat that. And their juices are the best and cheap as well. $4 for a large. I am glad they now keep the produce chilled especially for the summer months, it is extremely refreshing and delicious. read more

Even if it is a little bit of a walk from my apartment, it is totally worth it to go to Mr Kiwi's. They have large fresh juices for $4!!!! Incredible!! And their produce are always super fresh and at great price!! 2 big eggplants for $1, box of blueberries $1.99, 1 cup of brussel sprouts $1.50.... and the list goes on and on. Juice. Tofu. Cheap produce. Veganaise is $5.99 like, everywhere. it's always expensive. Gluten free organic rice pasta isn't a steal anywhere either (unless it is and then I need to know) but other things are so cheap that for me, it all balances out. Check the veggies and fruits that are on special because sometimes they will be a little moldy or turning (hey, those strawberries are a dollar for a reason) usually you can find a bunch that are perfectly fine. Mr. Kiwi always has a great selection of fresh produce. They also have a ton of packaged and processed goods but I've only purchased the produce. A recent find was pints of organic blueberries for only $2 each. I bought 18 pints and am enjoying smoothies with all the berries I froze. Their juice bar also can't be beat. It's not organic, but it's super cheap - like $3 cheap! The person at the juice bar is always working really hard and is always friendly so be sure to tip him/her! Don't get used to them having a certain thing you liked in the past because it might not be there the next time. They need to work on consistency of the things they carry. Mr Kiwi, my ever-beloved, always available saving grace, what would I do without you? I must admit that I make very frequent stops at Kiwi's, sometimes up to three times in a day. I live only two short blocks away so it makes for a very convenient grocery store. First off, their produce is super cheap. I spent only $9 and walked away with two grocery bags full of fruits and vegetables. Their selection is always changing and I especially love the prepared foods aisle. They have a good selection of beers and ciders and tons of healthy snacks to choose from. The line gets long and winding at certain times during the day/night but I feel like they keep it moving quite efficiently. Also, the place is kind of cramped. There's always a lot of sidestepping, bumping, and squeezing up against aisles for two-way passage, but it's nothing to get angry about. Definitely not a lot of elbow room but it'll take more than that to keep me away! And the fresh juice bar....ohh the fresh juice bar. Nothing like a deliciously made juice after a hard workout. If I ever move I hope and pray that I can find a Mr Pineapple or Ms Grapefruit that can make me as happy as this place does. read more

The most excellent, $4 juice you can get. They make it right in front of you. I'd recommend a beet/carrot/pineapple/ginger blend. The best part is they let you drink like 1/3 of the full juice right after they do it, and then they refill it before they put the cap on it. Also, smoking deals on the produce. I love this grocery store. 24-hours a day organic, seasonal produce (everything from kiwis to cactus), a wide variety of beers, and organic eggs. It seemed funny to me when I spoke about it to a friend who grew up by the Myrtle-Broadway JMZ stop, about how my bf and I go to Mr. Kiwi's daily, she was like, "What, you mean the vegetable place?" I guess to her, she always went to Food Bazaar or Western Beef, or a bodega for snacks and groceries, and thought Mr. Kiwi's was just a novelty. It looks like it, with veggies lined up all along the outside of the place like an open-air market. And more on the inside, tons of flowers, and nuts, and pre-prepared sushi and vegetarian meals. But I go there almost every single day, just to look around. Buy what I need for dinner that night, and maybe grab some Zapp's chips, or a smoothie from the made-to-order juice bar. Same price for a small or large, whether you get two fruits/veggies in it, or 6. Come up with your own juice recipe. I like mine with Kale, ginger, lemon, carrot, apple, and pineapple. Yum! Greatest place ever... or at least within five blocks of my apartment. If I could give Mr. Kiwi's five hundred stars, I probably would. And there are about five hundred reasons why. But just to name a few... For where it is, there's an awesome selection of fruits and veggies for CHEAP. And there's a great selection of organic products for a reasonable price (though slightly on the higher side). And more Yogi Tea than Whole Foods will ever have. They have an AWESOME beer selection (Dogfish Head & Stone Brewing galore!) for a good price -- 6 packs can be as little as 9 bucks. And they let you split the 6 packs up, which often leads to one of my favorite things: the dollar beer rack of random leftovers. Other ups include both Dirty Potato Chips and Kettle Chips, Maine Root sodas, fresh 3-for-$1 kaiser rolls, Ciao Bella gelato, and the recent addition of wine. AND they're open all the time. The only thing they could really use is a deli section. I'd love to be able to get a sandwich along with my craft beer and guacamole-bound avocados. Also, it'd be nice if they took the tempting 2-for-$1 fruit leather strips away from the cash register. And the $5 minimum on credit cards kind of sucks but hey I guess the fruit leather's good for rounding those smaller purchases out. read more

Awesome smoothies. Dollar bundles of Fig Bars. Various smart waters, plus Table Talk pies for comfort. And they have beer selections from the Ommegang Brewery. People in line have conversations with each other. It seems that the guy outside, who asks for marijuana and beer financial contributions is a corner staple. Mr Kiwis has a pretty eclectic and good seletion of groceries and definitely is great to have in the neighborhood. They have saved me on many occassions for last minute dinners and quick grocery runs. My only gripe about Kiwi, and it's probably not their fault, is because they are the only game in town offering organic or all natural products, they tend to price gauge...but i guess for that same reason they can which sucks for us. It's not very big, but its packed with most of the stuff I want (organic, somewhat healthy, and hard to find brands)....their prices on produce, veggies etc are really low - I got blackberries for $1 today! A great place to pick up produce for cheap if you don't feel like trekking further into Brooklyn for the good stuff. It's especially convenient if you're like me and live off of the L, which requires going into Manhattan and transferring to go back out into Brooklyn. Ugh, L train, I sense an angry review coming along to your Yelp page. Anyways, as others have said here, the produce is very cheap and reasonably fresh. The best by far is the $1.99 salad mix that Jill K. bought. Its contents are varied, and you probably won't get salad mix that cheap anywhere else. Everything else that they carry, unfortunately, is really overpriced. I don't live in the area, but everyone here on Yelp is saying to go over to the supermarket across the street for your non-produce needs, so you probably should. For a 24-hour deli, Mr. Kiwi's definitely gets a 5. It also accepts credit and debit cards with no minimum, a rarity in these parts. read more

Juices ($3 for small, $4 for large- go for the large) are made-to-order from fresh produce. They always ask you to taste it before finishing it off to make sure you're content with your order. They have a nice little variety of sushi and ready-made macrobiotic meals in the refrigerated section, a good selection of groceries (including gluten-free, sugar-free, vegetarian, vegan goods), and almost ever flavor Kettle Chip you can fathom. $10 minimum for credit or debit payments. read more

So glad Mr. Kiwi's is near me! This is like Williamsburg's Sunac but cheaper and friendlier. The produce is usually pretty fresh (although it does have its off days) and is ridiculously (and awesomely) cheap. Other goods (mostly the organic, holistic type foods) aren't too cheap, but their prices comparable to prices at most other specialty stores. Great selection of produce, but I also wish that their selection of other goods (especially in the freezer dept) was larger. Staff are extremely friendly & helpful and the store is always clean, easy to navigate & lines go by pretty quickly. This is where I do my regular grocery shopping and there's a reason for it! read more

Nice beer selection, Is open 24 hrs. Is true that is surrounded by healthy hipsters, and I don't mind. Is good to see the young ones eating some decent food. This place is great and a neighborhood staple. The owners and employees are always really cheerful and helpful. Great prices too. Mr. Kiwi's always has some kind of produce on sale (or even at regular price) for ridiculously cheap.. like the $1.50 raspberries and blackberries a few weeks ago. And they have Greek yogurt, basic cheeses that Food Dimensions doesn't carry like blue, brie, etc. However, considering the size, there should be bigger produce/fresh foods and freezer sections. They could definitely maximize their space a little better; the non-specialty items like potatoes, onions, and dried beans cover more area than they should. read more
