Pretty tasty sandwiches! I ordered the Italian sandwich and I must say if you are a fan of Italian sandwiches then this one is a must try. So much flavor and it was nice that there was a decent amount of toppings but they weren't falling out of the sandwich everywhere so you got to enjoy it all. I think a more apt name would be Mr. Sucky's... Let me elucidate: First you clandestinely charge 4% more for credit cards ( see the small print folks) Second the sandwich makers are the most miserable people.....like find something you like to do....be happy. Atmosphere is like F U with loud lousy music ( Dont get me wrong I love all music ....but loud punk ska....makes it not so chill) Filings are okay not great. Don't get me wrong the sandwiches are a 3.5 ( I much prefer Curtis Park Deli). But two basic sandwiches with taxes, tip, and the lovely 4% surcharge came out to $27.50 .....now that just SUCKS! read more

Amazing sandwiches with fresh veggies, flavorful meat and personable staff. Music was fun and had a good experience. Sandwiches are on the expensive side but if you get a large, you can save half for a later time because the sandwiches are STUFFED with all the goods! Worth the money. read more

I've been going to Mr Luckys for over 15 years. Their sandwiches are great, really good bread, fresh and plentiful ingredient's. The reason why I am leaving this review is regarding the poor attitude of their employees and the ridiculously loud music they play. From my experience this has been going on for the last couple of years. The workers seem to be in poor moods, looking quite unhappy and not friendly at all. When my server asked me a question today i told her I couldn't hear her over the very loud music. She told me " yea, that's how we like to do it" I don't usually write reviews but having to see a favorite sub shop of mine go down hill is concerning. Being treated like a valued customer goes a long way for me and unfortunately the workers act like they don't care. read more

This place was fantastic. Sandwiches were great for really nice prices. I will be coming back. They sell them in half sizes and full sizes, I got a half size cold sand which and a half size hot one so that I could try a couple of different things. I walked in on 4th of July, around 2 o'clock (odd in-between hours), and there were 8 other people at the ordering stand. 2 others came to pick up online orders while I waited for my sandwich. !! It is not a place you eat inside of, it's very New York-esque. They have a selection of chips, ice creams, and beverages. The soda machine is filled with a variety of local 100% cane sugar sodas from the Rocky Mountain Soda Company. They also sell these in bottles. Less to do with the food and more about the disgustingly overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke inside the store. My children were literally coughing by when I got back in the car after I ran inside to pick up my sandwich. I used to visit here frequently but after opening the door I quickly remembered why I stopped coming. The inside of the store smells like it has been hot boxed. Last time I asked them about the smell, they blamed the cigar store 2 doors down. If the building smells so bad from a store 2 doors down I feel like the owners would put some kind of filter system in so it wouldn't impact the other stores. Also I love the smell of a good cigar but this is not that. Lol As a non smoker I won't be going back to this location and I hope they fix the problem bc I do like a good lucky's sandwich. But not worth coming out smelling like a cigarette and coughing. Yuck. read more

The sandwiches are fresh and flavorful. Good ingredients. These guys make a solid sandwich. My one issue is the price is pretty high for a fairly standard sandwich. My Santa Fe Turkey had avocado, turkey, cheese, and some veggies on white roll. Nice, but not really a $14 sandwich. I'll go back, probably. read more

Good sandwiches, lots options, pretty friendly service usually. But now you can't really order build your owns - they took all the options away for byos on doordash and the other apps ive checked. So now gotta go in person to get a build your own. Not sure why they changed that. read more

I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and while the sandwich was good, it just wasn't a chicken salad. It was lettuce chicken walnuts and grapes but not mixed like a normal chicken salad would be. I ordered online and they don't have descriptions for their sandwiches anywhere so I assumed chicken salad sandwich was a safe bet. Guess not! read more

If you like loud annoying hip hop music with the N -word every 2 seconds, rude employees who seem like they are abused and don't want to be there, half ass thrown together sandwiches, then this is the place for you. They seem to have a high turnover rate, and a new trainee is in there every week fucking things up. Go to one of the plethora of other sandwich places and skip this joint. read more

We were in the neighborhood and decided to walk here for lunch. This is a small sub shop with no inside seating, but it was nice out and there were a couple of picnic tables, so we ate outside. I had a pastrami Reuben on rye. It was so good! Lots of meat, melted cheese and 1000 Island dressing. One of my friends is a vegetarian and she really enjoyed her vegetarian sandwich. Everyone said the sandwiches were amazing. You also can opt to create your own sandwich. Salads, soups, chips and specialty sodas are also available. Friendly service, quick delivery. They also offer catering and you can order on-line. Mostly street parking, but they do have lot if you don't mind a little Walk. We'll be back! read more

There is street parking but not tough to get. I walked in an made an order to-go. I got the BLAT (half size) and picked up some chips. The sandwich was made within 5-10 min and the man taking my order was very friendly. Once home, I saw a STUFFED sandwich. There was plenty of slices of crispy crunchy bacon with the lettuce and tomato. There was very little avocado in there which was a bummer. Nonetheless, the sandwich was delicious. The bread was perfect and I def liked the well done bacon. I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches. read more

This was a superior sub for a really reasonable price. I ordered the Italian which is generally a safe choice anywhere and this one delivered on that, but what made it *superior* was the bread. The bread tasted like just a really good baguette that they then made subs on rather than like "sandwich bread" that's an afterthought. It was toothsome but not tough, crusty but not crumbly or dry, and obviously super fresh. I would absolutely try any of their other items and for sure the ones that are a little more signature because I know that, even if I'm not that into the filling, I'm getting a dang good baguette. read more

THIS PLACE GOES NUTS! We got one hot sandwich and one cold sandwich and cut them into fourths for the whole family. I could have eaten both and still wanted more of these two. We ordered the Colorado club and the 7th avenue hot sandwich. Both were exactly was was needed after a hike. They were playing hip hop music inside the restaurant and it was a great addition to the whole vibe. Sandwiches were ready within minutes. Can't wait to come back here. read more

Yum! This place was great, split 3 different sandwiches between 3 of us and it was a lot of fun to mix and match and try some different Sammy's. Bird & Basil- anything which cream cheese is *chefs kiss* Chicken Salad- not your classic chicken salad but soo yummy, think it has a little bit of curry powder Tuna Sandwich- your classic tuna, but a little heavy on the Mayo for my liking Service was great, the guys were helpful in some good suggestions and even cut each sand which in 3's so we could all split. This neighborhood sandwich shop is really a treat. First, there's a large selection- sandwiches are their main business and they take it seriously. I opted for a half sandwich, heated, with turkey. Wow - found this place on Yelp looking for a nearby sandwich shop before we headed out to the airport for a flight back to Austin. They have street parking and trust me the little walk after your meal won't hurt you. I ordered a simple Roast Beef with lettuce and tomato with a bag of chips and some good ole Colorado craft soda. Sandwich was delivered to our table within 5 minutes. First bite and I said "yum". I love the bread, I dislike to soft mushy breads. This bread was on point and so was everything else. Mr. Lucky's is our go-to spot for sandwiches before heading to Wash Park! They are quick, fresh, friendly, and DELICIOUS. I had the T&T on a baguette (10/10 recommend) and my partner had the B.L.A.T. on wheat. The BLAT was delicious, however I recommend eating it quickly or getting it on a baguette if you don't plan on having it immediately. (The crusty bread holds up a little better). I love getting lucky at Mr. Lucky's. I eat here at least once a week because it's convenient, quick, cheap (especially compared to other sandwich shops) and good! I've ordered quite a few sandwiches - Colorado Club, Italian, Santa Fe, etc. The bread is hearty, crispy and delicious. The sandwiches are not stuffed with meats - the emphasis is on the great bread. I don't always need a mountain of meat so this is a nice change. Plus, gimme all the carbs. The bacon is crispy and delicious. However, highly recommend the Italian. Easy to walk to and/or drive and park. read more

Stopped at Mr. Lucky's Subs for lunch as part of my Denver tour de sandwiches and it was love at first bite. I had the 6th Avenue at their suggestion (pictured)--spicy toasted roast beef goodness. You must be driving west on Alameda to access the parking lot. There is a large sign there. You can enter the market from the main entrance facing Alameda or from the back entrance off the parking lot. The front of the store has a long wall of imported groceries and a bakery counter offering breads, pastries, quiches, fresh sandwiches (on baguette, croissant, or pretzel bun), soups, salads, and a wide variety of imported chips and drinks. There's a huge cheese cooler and lots of chilled, grab-and-go items. A table offers some kitchenware and gifts. A seating area is provided by the parking lot entrance. I'm on the mailing list which has offered a series of food specials and pop-up events. I was enticed in last weekend by a pop-up cassoulet special. I arrived to find a tent at the edge of the parking lot, sheltering a huge propane wok. The white beans, sausage, and pork belly were gently simmering with a wonderful aroma. What a treat!

A thought of freshly made sandwich sounded so good so before I went in for the blood work, I did a little search on Yelp to find some new sandwich places and this shop is/was one of the suggested ones. As I am always looking for a new business to try (this store was also up the street from where I would be for the medical appointment), I wasted no time to rush to this new deli to check it out. As of early September 2025, there are only several reviews posted for them; this is an indication that this business had just opened. Based on what those people said, it sounded like a solid business. The store is on the northeast corner of Downing and Alameda. Although this is not a super big intersection, it sure is a busy one. And yet, its exterior appearance (they have two doors: one facing Alameda and the other facing the parking lot) is somewhat inconspicuous or unassuming (it could be good and bad at the same time.) Had I driven by it, I would only notice the Italian restaurant (Olivia) on one corner or Starbucks (on the other corner). Hopefully they are getting much needed attention from people that pass by it. I entered the store using the door facing the parking lot. This is where you will see the seating area. And to get to the rest of it, you will pass the register on the right. Once you make that left turn you will see more stuff that this store offers. Most of the grocery items are on the left side along the wall. Then there is the fantastic-looking cheese room to the right. The deli counter is at the end where the workers will make your sandwich. There is also a showcase where they display some sweet stuff/cakes (they looked pretty good by the way.) This is quite the space (so if you look down from the top/ceiling (not that you can do that), this store is L shaped.) One of the workers (a lady who was at the register) cheerfully greeted me. I already knew what I wanted (as I peeked their sandwich menu ahead of time). It appears to be a limited time item and it's called "The Saint Tropez". Simply put, this is a tuna salad sandwich on a freshly baked French baguette. As the little info sheet at the register says, this is a light, cold summer offering that is perfect for warm weather cravings. I simply couldn't think of anything else so without doing anything further, I immediately asked for this summer sandwich. The price is $15.99 (and after tax, it's $17 with some change. Not necessarily super reasonable (I thought) but I was more focused on the quality of it.) While the lady was making my sandwich, I looked around the store to take some photos. I spotted some interesting European grocery items that we don't normally see at our local grocery chain but I was most impressed with the refrigerated cheese room. I don't eat a lot of cheese anymore and yet, this store's selection is quite large where if you are needing some cheeses for your next gathering (holidays etc.) then you might consider this place to find some interesting kind(s). It didn't take long for the lady to make my sandwich. As I came out of the beautiful cheese room, she handed me a long/skinny sandwich that was wrapped in a white butcher paper. As soon as I got to my car, I immediately started devouring my sandwich. And it did not disappoint. The crispy French baguette was most delicious and was picture-worthy looking. The tuna salad (house made) wasn't overloaded with mayo-type marinade/sauce. Some slices of tomatoes, plenty of arugula, and noticeable amount of hard boiled egg slices. It was cut in half in the middle but I didn't take any break between the halves (told you, I was hungry after fasting for hours!!) This is a nice deli to have within our reach. I bet on a beautiful weekend, they get a good amount of foot traffic because people can stop by here to grab a delicious sandwich and go to Wash Park for a little picnic. Sounds like a great idea to me!

An employee came up to us after we ordered and told us that customers were complaining about my mom sitting there before we ordered and how she was there "so long" and we're not supposed to do that but she'll let us sit there "this time" when we full on just ordered $100 worth of food and needed somewhere to sit regardless. No signage stating that you couldn't sit before you ordered just says "place your order then sit" and honestly if you have a seating problem talk with your manager about adding more or adding a wait list. I don't find it acceptable to guilt the customers for sitting while they order which is a perfectly normal way to run a counter service spot.

It was my favorite brunch spot from the places we visited during our Denver trip. They were kind of gross. But that isn't Little Arthur's fault. My husband and I decided to split the philly, just like it comes and he added peppers on the side because I am not a fan. I will say when we sat down there were 2 other people in the place. By the time we got our drinks and ordered food there was a line of 20 people trying to order. It came in a massive wave. We got there just in time. It did take quite a while to get our sandwich. Like, for being only 4 people in the whole place when we ordered food it should have been faster. But once we did get our sandwich it was phenomenal. I like the seeded bread and how soft it was. I hate hard bread. The meat was tender and covered in gooey cheese. Great sandwich. Glad we split it too because that thing was massive. Next time we go I want to try the Italian. It looks amazing.

Edit: since the owner wanted to give a passive response to my updated review. As a long time customer I have noticed a decline in quality. That's just my observation, the quality of the gluten free bread is not what it used to be and not worth the price anymore.
