I came to Mr. Menudo on a Saturday, one of their busiest days. It was a decently long wait (40-45 min) The service was pretty good, although it was a bit disappointing how everything was an extra charge (the salsa with chips are an extra charge for more salsa) Otherwise, the food was delicious. We ordered the menudo and chilaquiles. The horchata was okay, I wouldn't order it again - not their best drink. Overall, it's a pricey place but not a bad quality. It's high quality food and I can tell their cook knows what they're doing! I would recommend coming here if you have time and are willing to spend for higher quality food!

Omg omg omg!! What a gem of a place. Came here bc I was looking for Menudo on a weekday and I'm so lucky to have found Mr. Menudo. Their menu selections are some that I've been wanting to try, but never gave found anywhere to offer them. Life the Chilaquiltorta... The iced café de olla and the delicious Menudo which muy picky dad approved. The highlight of this establishment was definitely Carmen. She is a light and her passion for people and providing a memorable experience is the reason I will be back. Will definitely be back and bring everyone who wants good authentic mexican food.

WOW!!!!!! This was just like my mom made. I did take it to go as the wait was rather long. Our order was ready in a fair amount of time. I love listening to the music that is playing inside and outside, very nostalgic for me. Now..... the food (drooling face emoji) FIRE....... Everything was sooo good. Will definitely be back.

Packed on a Sunday morning. Chips and salsa with condiments.

My sub contractor on my patio project told me about Mr Menudo. I arrived just after opening on a Sunday morning and was surprised to see the eatery at nearly capacity. We were greeted immediately by the friendly and welcoming staff and was fortunate to be seated at a table. The friendly and knowledgeable waiter brought us complimentary crispy chips & salsa and took my order of a large menudo and a La Mexicana breakfast plate. The Menudo is big enough for two to share and contained generous amounts of tripe and hominy corn. All the necessary condiments are staged at each table which was convenient. The menudo was piping hot and delicious especially after a night of overindulging with the vino at the neighbors. The La Mexicana breakfast plate was also tasty and was generous in portion. You can also bring your own pot, and they'll provide menudo to go with a two-order minimum. I'll be returning here again when I'm in need of a solid bowl of menudo.

I came here after my appointment and wasn't planning but my mother wanted to try it. I order the menudo and my mother ordered a tamale and taco. My mother is a picky eater and everywhere I take her somewhere she always complain about her food is not hot enough. As for me the menudo was really good. Not greasy and light. To my surprise a family was celebrating a birthday brunch. I love the vibe here because they play music and they have TV screens to watch any games that are playing. I highly recommend this place when you're craving menudo, Enjoy!

Menudo is very good, the chilaquiles sauce is lacking flavor, the sauce is very diluted.

Menudo is very good, chilaquiles sauce is very diluted and is lacking flavor. I had to request additional rad sauce and sour cream to add flavor to the chilaquiles. The tamales are very good and i recommend them.

First time here. My husband loves Menudo and I'm not a fan. I'm glad there are other options to choose from. Everything was DELICIOUS!! Authentically made. Our server Carmen was so attentive. Well established place. We've been back already since.

Stopped by this spot and honestly... everything hit The coffee was smooth, rich, and exactly what you want when you need that perfect pick-me-up Not bitter, just strong and fresh ( cafe de la olla ) The food? Super flavorful--spicy, well-seasoned, and you can tell it's made fresh. Every bite had so much taste, definitely not your average dish. Service was quick and the vibe felt relaxed and welcoming by Alexa . Perfect place whether you're grabbing something quick or sitting down to enjoy your meal. Also tried an iced drink later and it was just as good--creamy, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Alexa recommended 10/10 Definitely coming back. If you're looking for good coffee and bold flavors, this place is worth it

This is the perfect way to start 2026... breakfast with my chino and a large bowl of Menudo! Forgot to order a side of beans, next time! The food is delicious and comforting, reminds me of my mom's cooking. The customer service was great, love the attitude and smiles of the waitresses!

Party of five on a Friday. 25 minute wait. Place was cold! Air conditioner was set on 64. Food is good but some of us had to wait longer than others to be served. Service is OK. Had to ask and wait for utensils. Fountain soda was $6 and getting a refill was a hassle.

Victory Monday after the Packer Win. Wifey wanted menudo so had to pop in since Menudo isn't available everywhere on Mondays. Could not believe the waitlist for a Monday at 12. Small spot with a decent amount of tables. Of course we get put in the corner with the least amount of A/C. I should have asked to be moved because that hot delicious broth was killing me. Love the chips and salsa they provide and the toppings they bring out. It was fantastic and would definitely go again. Plenty of food in this bowl. Could not take it down after pounding two beers for the heat. The riblets were tender and delicious as well. Stop in and check it out. Definitely hits the spot.

Great spot for a good breakfast that won't disappoint, with a fantastic cup of coffee!

Still think their menudo is one of the best but for $25 dollars, they can do better. For $5 extra, they can give you a bit more nervio or at least put it on the side so at least you feel like you're getting something extra. They insist it has to be in the bowl, which means you are getting less menudo so why $5? I even asked to buy another side order cause I enjoy nervio, but they insist they can't and only offer if I buy another bowl of menudo. WTF?!?! They offer a taco de nervio for $6 instead, but that was a disappointment. Very little meat and was all tortilla. On top of all that, my menudo wasn't served hot. Was just warm and I like my soups to be served hot! Now I'm in $31 before tax and tip for traditional Mexican comfort food that's about $15 almost anywhere else and there are others out there that are pretty good as well. My GF enjoyed her enchiladas, but agrees there are others out there as good or better and not as pricy. Beans were still great, but she said rice was off. Old or something. Service was great again and seemed very apologetic for the policy. Certainly not their fault. Hype over! Going back to the local mom and pop shops for my next menudo fix. If they get over themselves and open up a little on their policies, I might be back.

    Large Menudo very well served

They don't cheap out on drinks or food, and the quality is consistently great. Portions are generous, and you get far more sides and extras here than at most Mexican restaurants in the area. The staff of ladies who work here are phenomenal--warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. There is only one older gentleman I've seen be rude to customers, but aside from that single exception, the service is excellent across the board. I judge Mexican restaurants heavily based on how they make a Cadillac margarita, and this place absolutely delivers. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is perfectly cooked, plentiful, and clearly made with care. For me, this restaurant is a solid five out of five. It's one of those spots that deserves far more credit than it gets. If you're looking for quality, authenticity, and great value, it's worth a visit.

The meal started with complimentary chips served alongside both a sweet mole and a savory, tangy mole sauce. It was something I'd never experienced before, and it was incredibly delicious. Service is attentive, the food has its charm with in-house made tortillas. It really was a hard review to write because all the elements of a great restaurant is embodied in this hidden gem. I chalk it up to ordering the wrong items. The flavors did not pop for me. Hubby opted for the chorizo and he said it was decent and he described it as "diet chorizo"--that he'd probably needed to go back to Sinaloa to capture the true essence of "real" chorizo, the way it's meant to be. The star of his meal was the in-house made flour tortillas-now that's authentic! This is/was the reason that it leaned towards a 4 star. These looked and tasted phenomenal. The aroma took me back to the times when we visited Rosarito's Puerto Nuevo, as the lady made the tortillas by hand & pressed them in the comal, ahh, good times. I ordered the vegetarian omelette with beans & potatoes. The omelette was decent with fresh bell peppers & onions but the seasoning was so mild that I requested for salt & pepper. The potatoes appeared well seasoned in color but lacked that oomph that salt & pepper couldn't fix. My apple pancakes were average. While I appreciated the strawberry compote, there was no apple or apple taste in them. To wash everything down, I had cafe de olla, that was good. The aroma of the brown sugar & cinnamon was ever present. Estrella, our server was very welcoming, attentive and friendly, she gets 5 stars for her service with a smile & hospitality. Their lunch & dinner menu looked very appealing but we wanted breakfast items. We wish we were both molé enthusiasts then perhaps we would've better appreciated & enjoyed those offerings. Both indoor & outdoor seating (front & rear), parking is free & shared with their liquor store at this corner small plaza. Beware, no restrooms available. I'm glad we gave this little shop a try.
