I dropped a laptop 11 months ago taken apart by myself to just replace the wifi cable and replace a hinge. Daryl used to work for them and was the only reason this place was running. Very good customer service and just over all a friendly guy that does great work. He said they work on mac's so I dropped it off the next day with some other guy that worked there. I get a call from the guy a week later saying its put back together and in working order. I get there the next day and they said they realized the wifi still wasn't working and they would have to troubleshoot the issue. I waited about 2 weeks and didn't receive a call so I went ahead and called them. They pick up and said they've tried everything and the last resort would be reinstalling windows. That if that didn't work then there would be no charge and I could just take it to Apple. I agreed to do so. I don't get a call for another couple weeks, so I call them and they say that they don't know where my laptop is because during the move it got put into the "graveyard" and they would have to locate it and call me back. I wait 3-4 weeks and no call so I call again. They said the owner would give me a call and took down my number at least 6-7 times on the phone and numerous times of me personally going up there. Finally he gives me call and says that they found it but, its not working at all now because it got damaged when I took it apart. I didn't catch on to what was going on because of all the big hi tech part language that was going on. He told me they would have to send it off to a place that specializes and I told him it was fine go ahead. I don't get a call and can't get in contact with the owner for 2-3 more months!!! The workers are saying they don't know whats going on that I have to get in touch with the owner. I call up again and a new manager picks up the phone. Told him the situation and he says they laptop has been lost and they couldn't find it. He then goes ahead and informs me they have already put together a rebuilt laptop to replace mine without even asking me if this would be acceptable? Told him I don't want it and I want "my" computer and he tells me he'll have the owner call me to explain the situation. I get a call first thing in the morning next day from the owner and he says they found my computer and everything is now in working condition. I told him how could that be when the new manager just told me they couldn't find it and I would have to get a rebuilt laptop. He then again say's no, this is your computer it just had some parts that were damaged replaced. I told him the computer didn't have the scratches in the left rear corner, I would call the cops and file a police report. He then again says they replaced the whole shell due to the inconvenience factor of me having to wait almost a year and all the work would be free. Then I flipped out and asked him who in the hell told you to replace the shell and why? There's no reason to change the shell. Long story short I get there and they show me not only a different shell but a macbook pro thats twice as thick. Maybe ones of the first one's they came out with! Years older.. Then he sat there and tried to lie into my face saying thats my computer, same harddrive, same this same that but the shell and thickness is different.. By this time, I took my 1 year old daughter and 2 year old son out of the shop to call the cops. Cop gets there he heres my side of the story and his. The cop comes out and says he told me it was dissasembled before you dropped it off and that was the reason why they had to use a new shell because they lost parts.. Now not only does he lie one after another straight into my face. He has the audacity to lie to this cop in front of me and telling the cop I'm lying and that Im just making a scene and this is my laptop. The cop says he can't file a report but I can take it to small claims. Then the cop comes over and tells me the owner has kicked me off their property. Listen people I have no reason to go through this for no reason over a $2000 laptop... I alone make over 300k a year (general contractor, architect) and my wife makes ?????? owning 3 nails salons here in town.. Together we make enough to be extremely lucky... Its the fact, I was so nice to them and didn't blow up the whole time. Until the very end when he started lying one after another and accusing me and making lies on me in front of a cop!? March 13, 2016....I read the reviews for "Mr Phix" computer repair shop prior to giving them a try. A couple of negative reviews just about scared me away. However, my dire need for computer service and their very convenient business hours overshadowed the initial fear I felt after reading the negative reviews. I took my HP Pavilion HPE H8 to their shop on a Saturday at approximately 4:30pm. I explained that the unit would not boot up. The technician informed me that the diagnosis was free and they would advise me of findings. I received a call from the technician at approximately 3:00pm the following day, today, SUNDAY, informing me that my computer was repaired. He told me that there was a slight problem with my RAM boards and it was an easy fix. I asked how much is this going to cost me? He replied, "No Charge, it was a simple adjustment". WHAT ! ! ! Now that's what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE ! I never expected that. I was at their mercy and thought for sure I would be spending $75 or more. I went to pick up my computer and left very pleased after giving them a small tip. I cannot dispute anyone's bad experience with Mr. Phix on South College Rd. in Wilmington. I can only state that the customer friendly hours and the fast service that I received will lead me to recommend them without hesitation. Mr Phix, aka Ted, has came to my rescue once again. My 11 yo daughter accidentally broke our computer screen yesterday (our new computer that we have had less than a week). In a panic I texted Ted. Within 35 min he texted me back. This was Sun afternoon after church and he was having lunch with his family. He reassured me that it will be ok and he can fix it reasonably. He began to look for a new screen and was in touch with me off and on til late Sun night updating me about possible prices for the screen and reassuring me he will be reasonable with his prices for fixing it. We arranged that I would take the computer to him today (Mon. Labor Day) as he planned to work a half day. I got in my car with my 2 children this morning to take the computer to him and my battery was dead. My husband was working out of town. So I texted him and told him I wouldn't be able to take it to him until tomorrow. He came out of his to my house, jumped my car, pick up my computer and wouldn't let me pay him. Phix-ed it!! I was traveling for business and dropped my iPhone my first night here. It was no longer responsive to touch, rendering it non-functional. Everyone who saw it was certain it couldn't be fixed and that I'd have to buy a new phone. I went to the local AT&T store (my carrier) for assistance and the helpful rep there, Phil, referred me to Mr.Phix, knowing they'd be able to repair my phone quickly and effectively. Phil even called over there to let them know to expect me. I went to their brand new location on South College. It was such an easy and positive experience. The staff members were so personable, knowledgable, and attentive. I dropped by iPhone 5 in the ocean on a Saturday. Although I retrieved it quickly I noticed that the apps and email still worked but the phone functions were acting odd. I went to the AT&T store and they recommended Mr Phix. I met one of their staff at 11am when they opened, told him what happened, he told me what they would do and the costs if successful or not. They dried out the phone to get rid of any moisture, replaced the charging port and then tested and retested its functions to make sure it was perfect. At 4pm I had my completely fixed phone. I was in a bit of a panic because I needed to travel for business on Monday and had to have a phone. So with Mr Phix I was able to have my phone fixed without buying a new one. FANTASTIC SERVICE! AWESOME PRICE! THANKS! I brought my Apple laptop with 2 blown speakers in worried about if they could fix it and how much it would cost being an Apple. I am a college student with no money or time without a computer to spare. I dropped it off Monday afternoon, they called late morning Tuesday with a price estimate and said it would be ready Wednesday afternoon. I let them know that I would be leaving town Wednesday and would be waiting for it and would leave as soon as it was done. They said they would let me know if they could get it done sooner and would try to get the parts ASAP. Just a few hours later they called and said it was ready! Took my sons iPhone 6 in to have the screen repaired. They didn't only fix it but they let him swap the cover with another color to "customize" his phone at no extra fee. This is the 2nd phone I have had fixed here and I couldn't be happier with the service and the parts they use. PS: I was in the store when "Veronica T."(negative review below)'s husband came in with his complaint about the Samsung and the true story is they purchased the part from MR Phix and tried to put it on there selves and messed their own phone up and then wanted money back for the part! I took my iPhone 5c to mr phix after the touch sensor on my screen started malfunctioning due to a diagonal crack on the home screen. The manager, Darryl, was very helpful off the bat as well as thorough in his description of what he was going to do with my phone. they really try to be upfront. when I came back to pick up my phone Darryl explained to me that the touch was still a little off and he wanted to order a new screen to see if that was the issue or something more complicated was at play. For my inconvenience He threw in a complimentary glass cover for free that was originally going to cost me $25! Darryl definitely took care of me and my precious iPhone and I would recommend Mr. Phix to anyone needing phone repair paired with great customer service!!! read more

I went to Mr. Phix for iPad repair. As I was explaining the problem I was having with my iPad to the tech, I suddenly became choked, lost my breath, and passed out. The next thing I knew,, Mr. Phix had called EMS and attended to my medical emergency. Luckily, I did not have to go to the hospital once stabilized. EMS left, and I was able to continue to address my iPad problem. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the response the Mr. Phix team provided to me during my medical emergency. Ted was great ! Learned of MR. PHIX via a tech at Staples. I tried to get my computer fixed at the local Staples but after a very long conversation with a technician I was told that they did not have the tools to even open my computer. Knowing that I needed a new hard drive I contacted MR PHIX which immediately took on this distressed sole. Tom took the time to listen to my long sad tale and then proceeded to tell me what was possible. A time of three days was given to fix the problem but it took much less. The staff was amazing. Questions were fully answered and suggestions were made. A completely new set-up was accomplished. Tom, Ted, and Adam spent a great deal of time helping me. This place is legit and Darrell is the man. First off, they were open on a Sunday, which in itself was great. Although, the owner was not there I did speak to him on the phone and he was incredibly nice and professional. He referred me the manager Darrell who was waiting on me. My problem went way beyond a cracked screen. My entire phone and logic board ended up just being shot and I had to purchase a new one. However, that didn't stop Darrell from doing everything he could to fix it. He was completely honest with me and wasn't just trying to sell me on anything. I have had two outstanding experiences at Mr. Phix. Most recently my phone was acting up and the typical fixes weren't successful. They just kept working to get the job done and provide me a great experience. I would say they went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable and informed about what was happening and every staff person was kind, helpful, and attentive. Took my Ipad mini in for repair and unluckily it had to be sent to CA for micro soldering. Was told it would be 2 to 3 weeks. It took almost six to get it back:( I was slightly disapointed with the delay and the communication from the store. Owner was understanding and did everything to make it right. When it did arrive I was called right away and even recieved a free tempered glass screen cover...very nice! In the end I understood that it was the CA facility that caused the delay. Also, the owner is now working to provide micro soldering in store. The work was fantastic and I would recommend this business to others. read more

This place is awesome... Locally owned and operated. I had a great talk with the owner as my phone was being fixed. I had shattered the glass and when they opened it to clean it and replace the glass they said my battery was bulged. I had thought the battery was going and when I asked how much they said half price since it was already open! They also put a new glass cover on which was half the price as the verizon one and guaranteed for life and instead of sending it in for a new one I just walk in and they give it to me! Amazing customer service! I needed help downloading legal music from the computer to my Ipod. ( I am "older" and not good with technology.) I called several computer service businesses and no one was interested in helping me. Phone would not power back on and wasn't sure what the issue was. After replacing the battery it was able to turn in. Unfortunately the same issue occurred in a couple of days. After spending much time they determined an issue with the prongs in the charging port and worked on it and we're able to fix it. Since they quarantine their work they did not charge me a thing the second time around!! Went to Mr. Phix for a re-repair after I tried to replace my own broken phone screen (don't do it.). The staff was clean and professional. The atmosphere when you walk in is very modern unlike other places that look shady - so to speak. The repair was fast and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the work was guaranteed for life when I came back a few days later for another problem.
