We had a late night craving for their Dutch crunch bread, so we drove down here from Corona and barely made it before they closed at 9 pm. We got there at 8:30 pm, and they were already cleaning up, so we asked if they were still open before we ordered. They were so kind to let us order our sandwiches even though they were cleaning up the kitchen. We love their Dutch crunch bread so much so we bought two loaves to have at home. They made the sandwiches quick and we took ours and ate it in the car. Hubby got the whole Baja Cheesesteak with Dutch crunch bread and the meat was pretty red and the sauce was a bit spicy. He enjoyed his sandwich and his free cookie. I got the Sammie French Dip with Dutch crunch bread and the meat was too red for me. I like my meat cooked a little more, so I decided to wait to cook it more at home. The dip had a horseradish flavor which was too strong for me, so I will probably not eat it. I loved my free cookie! I had had big hopes for this place with being a huge fan of deli sandwiches and pickles, and so I was excited to try a place called Mr Pickles. As recommended, we tried the Dutch crunch bread and I got the Goomba since it seemed like a favorite. I'm not sure if it was the day that we tried it, but both of us were disappointed with how hard the bread was. The bread to deli meat ratio seemed off and didn't love how the bread seemed almost a little stale at how hard it was to even rip off a bite. Dutch Crunch bread. Their sandwiches are pretty basic in terms of ingredients but that bread sets Mr. Pickle's above the rest of the sandwich chains! This was my first time to Mr. Pickle's. I had already seen the reviews, so I knew that a pickle spear was not included, but you get a free chocolate chip cookie with each sandwich. I ordered the Listen Linda on Dutch Crunch. It seemed a little pricey ($14.69) for a whole sandwich, but it was pretty big, with a healthy stack of turkey, along with bacon, Swiss, avocado and the works. I thought the suggestion about splitting a sandwich was a little crazy, but I struggled to finish my whole sandwich and was STUFFED. In retrospect, maybe splitting a sandwich is the way to go.
