What a mad chill little spot to grab some food on the run! Before the park I totally came here for breakfast and got a bacon breakfast burrito and let me say it wa definitely yummy as it had grilled onions in it along with eggs and bacon making for a yummy breakfast that was quick! It was decently priced too and I'm sure that if I lived in the area I'd be back for something that is just that scrumptious again! Overall quick and decent like you can't go wrong! read more

Made a stop for some fast food at Mr. Quick after having the opportunity to go to a meet and greet for Ben Wallace, my favorite basketball player.  I got the #1 combo with a Dr. Pepper, while my husband got a #2 combo with a mountain dew.  We both enjoyed our food and ate it quickly.  It wasn't my favorite but it was good for a fast food restaurant.   The burgers were on the greasy side but they reminded me a bit of our local burger joint (Henry's Hamburgers) which gave me nostalgia about eating their as a young kid.  They fries were pretty good and the drinks were standard.  Prices were pretty decent as well, with a bottle of water only being $0.39. I can see myself coming back for a quick meal if I'm in the area but I'm also the type to like to try new things before going back to what I've already tried so it may be a bit. read more

The frozen strawberry lemonade is awful. It left a greasy after taste in my mouth. Make that make sense. The pickle fries are in fact not pickle fries. They were thick pickle chips. Which don't get me wrong I love them too, but that wasn't what I thought I was ordering and the ration completely changed of pickle to breading so I didn't get what I truly wanted at that time and it was too much pickle for me at the time. The coney dog wasn't great either. Service was ok. I was disappointed needless to say because it was our first time there and we live out of town so it's not like I can easily give it another change. read more

Between price point and quality of product this place is easily a solid three star rating. If given a choice between Mr. Quick, Checkers, and McDonald's, I would choose Mr. Quick every time. On my visit I had an olive burger, seasoned fries, and a regular cheese burger. The olive burger was really good and their sauce has a unique flavor of its own; kind of reminded me of tartar sauce. Seasoned fries came with a side of sour cream to dip in, but truthfully they were so good by themselves that I ignored the cream. Cheese burger was a little lite on the toppings, but still decent. Restaurant and sitting area was very clean, a huge plus in my book. I think I'll try the fish next time and maybe bump up my rating to a four. read more

Matt at Laketon branch We have came to your location for a long time . Employees are all helpful and friendly but recently your portions have got smaller and smaller. Pancakes can almost see through, 2 eggs are less than 1 most other restaurants, burrios much smaller and everything we get is much smaller. I know it is hard to make a profit with all the competition but we will have to stop coming to your location as there much better meals size wise at other restaurants for same prices. This has been a favorite stop of mine for a little over 30 years whenever I return to visit family. I'll admit a lot of it is sentimental attachment since it's a place my Dad and I frequented when he was alive, but even when I focus on setting those feelings aside I am still a huge fan. Back in the old days a little over 30 years ago their burgers had something distinctive about them that nobody else's had. The unique thing was their burgers always had very smashed buns instead of the fluffy type that most people prefer. Don't worry, unfortunately in the years since their burger buns have ceased to be smashed flat (well they weren't completely flat but close to it) so those of you that prefer a nice fluffy bun will get it here nowadays. As for me when I stop in I just have to go ahead and smash the burger while it's still wrapped in the wax paper to get them as close as possible to the way they used to serve them. Of course when their employees spot me doing this they look at me like I'm crazy (I may be), but I want the old version of their burgers not something that looks and has the texture of a McDonald's burger. Their employees today are too young to remember the old days here so I don't expect them to understand. Speaking of McDonald's, if you're an old fart like me and miss the old days (the 70's and 80's) when McDonald's apple pies were deep fried Mr. Quick still serves them that way. To you younger people who never had the old McDonalds pies trust me Americans used to eat tens of thousand of them daily and loved them so give it a try. Mr. Quicks apple pies are not as good as the old McDonald's ones, but it is probably as close as you can get today. The only reason I've given this location 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the location. It's not someplace I'd necessarily be afraid to drive to after dark, but I wouldn't walk after dark to get there since the area is a bit on the sketchy side. The final point I'll make is that the people working here in the 30+ years I've been coming here have always been friendly and very professional. When you consider how many years this consistency of good service has been in place that tells you they're doing something right in their hiring and training processes. If you're wanting good tasting burgers that won't soak your hands with dripping grease this is the place to go! They do also have a nice selection of other items besides burgers and I think you can still order a large bag of something like 1/2 pound of fries if you're ordering for several people and want to share and save some money! read more
