I know pizza is a personal preference, but I don't know why Mr. Shoes Pizza isn't in the 4-5 rating zone. I've tried so many pizza places around Rochester looking for a good thin crust pizza and Mr Shoes wins hands down. You have to ask for the thin crust. And after the first pie, you might ask the next time to go a little lighter/heavier on the sauce or cheese. They know what you mean and can make it exactly as you like. For a quick grab and go it's not bad- it's nearby and easy to get to- I just prefer a thinner "crispier" crust.

The website was easy to use, and at checkout, they offered $2 cinnamon toes to add onto my order, which I couldn't pass up. At the store, I asked for a cup of marinara because the website didn't let me select marinara and they gave me a cup for free, on top of the sauce I had selected instead! The food was delicious! I had a stomach ache prior to eating, and after eating the cinnamon toes, I began feeling so much better! Hahaha. I can't wait to order again next week! Check out their specials! read more

Not sure why this place doesn't get more love. It's got a hole in the wall vibe inside, but we got a large cheese for just $15 and it was money. It's definitely a New York style pie, but the bottom of the crust is just a little fried like a pan pizza. Next time we'll get the buffalo chicken pie, which sounded amazing. read more

Just got off the phone with a manager named OCTAVIA and this girl obviously doesn't know what 1+1 is. Where did you find her? So, I received a delivery for a pizza that was beyond messaged up and a male young manager gave me a credit for a free pizza. Somehow he put it in the system as a free topping which is obviously wrong. You don't get a delivery for a messed up pizza and get a free topping, you can a free pizza. Common sense right? Not with OCTAVIA, she said since the manager only put a free topping that was all she was giving me. Tried to explain the issue and she wasn't hearing it. She said she is the manager on and she makes the rules on her shift. She proceeded to keep an attitude which gave me one and hung up on me when I asked her if she knew what one plus one is since it's an obvious mistake by the other manager. Despite the name I didn't order pizza! They have many offerings and my company covered lunch one Friday with an Uber eats coupon. I selected steak bomber sub and a PB pie. My sub was huge, perhaps too big. It felt a bit wasteful but it was delicious when it dried out as steak subs sometimes are. The pie was a bit dry but still yummy and it took me several days to eat it because it was so rich. Everything was packaged well and the sub arrived warm. A great way to end the work week. read more

Mr. Shows loves going to Broadway to watch Phantom and such. Whereas Mr. Sheers loves to wear women's stockings (but who doesn't). Mr. Shea's often goes to Buffalo to see shows downtown in that old Main St Theatre. And Mr. Shahs is a former Iranian dictator. Thankfully none of those people own this place (except maybe the stockings guy but that's everyone isn't it? No? Just me?). I liken this place to Country Sweet, in that they make sweet pizza and extremely sweet, hot, syrupy "Rochester style" wings. You cannot get wings like this anywhere else in the world, except maybe on this road. Country Sweet charges more, but honestly I like them more. They're bigger, they're saucier, and the spice will blow your head off while also making you scowl from sweetness. Don't get me wrong though. These wings are really good. I don't give out 4 stars lightly. Okay, I do, but in this case, the wings are actually good. The pizza tastes a little weird, so I recommend sticking to the wings, true Rochester wings. Stopped yesterday on my way home from work as it was too hot to cook. Location is easy to get to, in and out, with plenty of parking. Printed an online coupon, which was large pizza w/1 topping, 10 wings, and 2 liter soda for $25.00 + tax. Guy who answered phone was helpful and prompt, food was ready 30 minutes later when I picked it up, nice and hot! Have to say although pizza never impresses me, or wings, this place did. Pizza was delicious, and wings (sweet and sour) were totally awesome. Plus I have lunch for several days this week as I have leftovers. I called Mr. Shoes and they only offered basically to pay for the tax of my next pizza ordered, which I feel is unacceptable for the order that was place for a number of things. Recently gave Mr. Shoes a shot because Grub Hub is running a $5 off $10 orders promo, and chubby guys love free food! So I ordered the "Big Daddy Jay's" Cajun Black 'n' Blue Steak Bomber and a side of fries. Came to like $7.00 after the $5 off. The fries were ok, kinda soggy by the time I got home due to condensation but not too bad. The problem was, they were little. They were like shoe string thin and like 2 -3 inches long, kind of hard to eat them that way. I probably just got unlucky and ended up getting the bottom of the bag =(. As for the sandwich... It's described as such " Our world famous steak topped with sauteed onions and mushrooms, bacon, bleu cheese dressing, and mozzarella." Only problem? They forgot the blue cheese dressing.... Kind of one of the corner stones of the sandwich. I wouldn't get food from these guys again, there are just better choices with better food and cooks who don't forget main ingredients. read more
