I went to The Cheesecake Factory with a friend just for dessert, and it was the perfect place to sit and catch up. We wanted somewhere comfortable where we could talk, and it worked out great. Our server was fantastic and kept refilling our water without ever making us feel rushed, even though we stayed for a couple of hours chatting. I ordered the tiramisu cheesecake and it was incredible. I love tiramisu and cheesecake, and this was exactly how I would imagine the perfect combination of both. We had a terrible experience from the service to the cold food! The server never asked us how our food was - the manager never came and asked. Two burgers were over cooked. Our appetizers came out cold and three dinner came out ten minutes before the other 3 and two were burgers. Haven't been here in a while, I got a gift card for Christmas and decided to go on New Year's Day. We got right in with zero wait around 3pm. Our server Maya, was pleasant. We ordered a skinny chicken sandwich and a burger. For dessert a skinny cheesecake with strawberries and a cherry chocolate cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of food here! We were a party of 10 and were seated promptly upon arriving. We ordered baked Brie, calamari and fries for the table. The complimentary bread was good. The calamari and Brie were great! I got the bang bang chicken and shrimp and it tasted great! However, it was a huge portion and I had to ask for to go. We all ordered cheesecakes to go too. I got the peach perfect cheesecake and in fact it was perfect! The whipped cream helped to balance out the richness of the cheesecake. I had a great lunch experience at the Cheesecake Factory. Made a reservation as it's usually very busy at this location, but it was surprisingly lowkey and quiet throughout my visit. I was seated in a lovely open atrium area with large windows. Felt very cozy and secluded. The server was friendly and provided fast service. I ordered a lunch portion of the Pasta da Vinci. The portion was quite large. I do wish I had been given more chicken and mushrooms but otherwise it was delicious. Extra saucy and flavorful. I was also provided complementary bread with my meal. My mother and I stopped in here on a Monday afternoon after doing some Christmas shopping in/around town, and that timing allowed it to - thankfully - not be as much of a zoo as Cheesecake Factory locations can often be. Mind you, the place still had a number of people in it - we just didn't have to wait for a table. The hostess told us they didn't have any booths available (I mean, okay... I saw plenty of open booths, but sure) and seated us at one of the two-person tables tucked into a corner. I'm not a fan of these tables as it always seems like the wait staff forget that people are often sitting there - a sense that remained the same in this dining experience. I was also organizing my area of the table and noticed that one of my forks had food remnants crusted onto it, which... ew. I knew I wouldn't need both forks, and the other one was fine, so I didn't mention it. That said, it obviously makes one wonder about overall cleanliness coming from the kitchen/etc. Out waitress was pleasant, but not especially attentive. We ordered our drinks though - Guava Sparklers for both of us. I appreciate that the restaurant menu includes at least a couple non-alcoholic options. After she returned with out drinks, we ordered our main selections... Thai lettuce wraps with satay chicken strips for me, and a cheeseburger for my mother. The Thai lettuce wraps are my go-to at Cheesecake Factory restaurants, but, upon mine being brought to the table, I noticed it was lacking in some of the options that are usually included on the plate. The chopped peanuts, for example, were pretty much non-existent on the plate... and the cucumber/onion mixture usually included was barely included as well. In terms of my mother's burger, she said it was fine, but sloppy. We ordered cheesecake slices to go because we were each too stuffed at that point to eat anything else. As you can imagine, the cheesecake options are where this restaurant really puts in their effort. The waitress brought us our cheesecake slices in little to go bags, we paid our check (which took a while to get because, again, we were at a table where it seems easy to forget about folks), and we were on our way. All-in-all, I don't really expect to return to this particular The Cheesecake Factory location... it'd *just* happen to be if my mother and I were in the area again or something. I wouldn't say the food is overpriced... I think we spent ~$90, including tip, and that's pretty comparable to the cost if my mother and I order Thai takeout or anything else. In terms of service though, as well as quality of the food, it's all just meh. Let me start off with saying I normally would not pick this place to eat at on a Saturday in December around 6pm during the holiday season. My niece wanted to go here for her 19th birthday. We were going to have a party of 13. She called weeks in advance to see if she could make a reservation but they do not reserve seating for parties over 6 people. They suggested to come an hour early to get the name on the list. It ended up being more of an hour and a half wait to get our table. Our server was pleasant and had a comical way about him. He was very attentive during the first part of our dining experience. He had to take his 30 minute break during the time our food was being served. Once our food was served, we really didn't see much of the wait staff and actually had to flag someone down because one of the dinners was not correct. Also, the trend was that most of our party's food was lukewarm at best. Though it was lukewarm, most people still enjoyed the flavor of their food. I feel food tends to be a little pricier here. You will easily spend $40 to $50 a person depending on what you're eating and drinking, especially if you're ordering a slice of cheesecake after your meal. I was super excited for my first trip to the famous Cheesecake Factory. This place was packed to the brim, however we only had to wait about 15 minutes before we got a table. Keep in mind that this place is busy, so it takes a bit of time to get the attention of your server, get your food, and whatnot because understandably the servers are dealing with so many tables. The servers are quite friendly though! This is also quite the loud restaurant, so if you are looking for a quiet dinner this is not the place. We ended up going crazy with the appetizers, and then were too full to order anything else. Keep in mind that for two people, even a single appetizer is SUPER FILLING. We ordered the Factory Nachos with Spicy Chicken as per recommended by the host who showed us to our seat (who was super enthusiastic and friendly), as well as the Fried Macaroni and Cheese and Eggroll Sampler. Fried Macaroni and Cheese - 5/5 - Honestly, was pretty hesitant to order this because everywhere else I've had it, it was always just so-so. But this was SO cheesy and creamy, definitely the best Fried Macaroni and Cheese I've ever had. Factory Nachos with Spicy Chicken - 4/5 - Definitely one of the better nachos I've had - comes with heaps of toppings! I'm a big fan of the fact that they use both cheese and cheese sauce (can never have enough cheese). Huge serving size too. 4 stars because it definitely seemed like some of the chips were stale, some pieces were super hard and chewy. Eggroll Sampler - 2/5 - Would probably pass on this. Comes with your 4 different spring rolls, but only really liked the Cheeseburger Spring Roll. Avocado Spring Roll was essentially just avocado and cilantro, and the other two were just okay. They do provide 4 different sauces though. I was eager to try some pasta as well as their cheesecake, but we were too full to eat anymore. We been to the Cheesecake Factory many times since our last review and have never been disappointed. Whatever we chose on the menu has been tasty and does not seem like chain-restaurant food, even if it is! I tried the Crispy Chicken Costoletta and my wife had the Tuscan Chicken. Both were excellent and enough for tomorrow's lunch. My only concern is to watch out for the bar drink prices, not on the menu. That's how they make a profit! Service was prompt and friendly. Upon first walking in, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us at a table immediately. The ambiance was unlike any place I have been before, a large inviting space with good music. Our waitress was at our table within a couple of minutes to greet us and offer drinks. She was excited to hear this was our first time going this restaurant. We chose two appetizers; the cheeseburger spring rolls and chicken taquitos. The appetizers arrived within ten minutes of us ordering and had a great presentation and were hot. While the taquitos were full of flavor, the cheeseburger spring rolls were underwhelming. The meat in the spring rolls was rather sweet which was an unexpected bite. It did not have the cheeseburger flavor I was hoping it would have, but the cheese sauce that came with it was good. As a side dish, I ordered a Caesar salad. It was a rather large portion for a side salad, and had a garlic forward flavor in the dressing that somewhat overpowered the taste of the dish, but it tasted fresh and the lettuce was crunchy. For my main dish, I ordered the chicken salad sandwich (or sandwiches?) with a side of fries. The fries tasted delicious and were fresh and crispy. The sandwich itself was advertised as a chicken salad sandwich with almonds in it. The sandwich had flavorful grilled bread and crunchy lettuce, however, the chicken salad itself was lacking almonds with a little too much mayo making it runny. However, it was still flavorful! The star of the show is certainly the cheesecake itself! I enjoyed a piece of the triple berry cheesecake. It absolutely melts in your mouth with the fruity flavor and creamy cheesecake texture. Overall, the service all around was amazing. Everyone was welcoming and wanted to make our first experience an enjoyable one. Thank you for always making my dining experience here a palette pleasing one. From celebrating birthdays to getting together for date night. The ambiance is definitely inviting. The grand sconces and lighting make you feel as if you're in a castle or an important old building. The food is also consistent as well. Tonight was my first ever time at the Cheesecake Factory and it was an excellent experience. Reading about the story of how the Cheesecake Factory started out to where it is now is truly amazing. The whole place has a very mellow comfy atmosphere with soft lights that help you adjust and settle down nicely and focus on your food and company. We were seated in one of the tables assigned to Mr. Kyle. He was very busy but ensured that every one of his tables gets his complete attention and service! I wanted to go easy on the food so got the Beet Salad and a side of asparagus. My friend got a Caesar salad and a side of Mac n'cheese. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the beet salad although like Kyle mentioned it was a small portion which worked out perfectly to accommodate the nice slice of Upside down Pineapple cheesecake. For a drink I got the Passion Fruit Mojito. It was surprisingly good. Too good in fact and I had to pace myself to make sure I could drink it throughout the time and not just slurp it down. Fail‼ We were there for my daughter's 20th birthday. Her choice. We were seated right away and the place was packed, we had a res. I told them it was a bday when I made the res and the host acknowledged that at checkin. We order, I ordered the ribeye med/rare. What I got was just about well done. I returned it because at $44, I'm not settling. It took a while, a manager came over and PROMISED to come back and check, he was going to comp an app or something... never happened. No check in, no comp anything (he offered, I accepted). When I questioned the waitress on it, she got a little defensive and her pleasant attitude shifted. She said something and when I mentioned it was my kid's bday she said "well I didn't know it was her birthday". It was in the system, everyone else knew... anyway, it was a disappointment to say the least. The situation made my daughter and her boyfriend late for their plans. My younger daughter ordered 4 cheese pasta with chicken. There were maybe 5 chunks of chicken and the pasta was virtually raw, al dente would have been fine. Pasta shouldn't be crunchy. If you can believe it, this was the first time myself or my fiancé have tried The Cheesecake Factory. Walking in the ambiance was inviting, and good music was playing (and not too loud). From the time we got there, the service was fantastic. We were seated quickly, and it wasn't too long before our waitress arrived to greet us. Our waitress was very helpful in guiding us through their ginormous menu. She promptly brought us our drinks, and took our orders. We chose the cheeseburger spring rolls and the chicken taquitos as appetizers. The chicken taquitos were absolutely delicious. The chicken and cheese filling was flavorful, the pico and salsa verde that comes on top of them, gave a spritz of spice and freshness. The cheeseburger spring rolls unfortunately were not our cup of tea. The cheeseburger filling is pretty sweet, throwing off what I imagined they would taste like. For my entree, I got the Smokehouse BBQ burger and fries. The fries were warm and salty but were seemed a little more stiff like they had been sitting around for a little while. Now on to the burger, the presentation was on point, but when I took my first bite I was disappointed. The one positive was that the burger was cooked medium as I had ordered it. But, when biting into the burger there was absolutely no flavor. The only flavors I could taste were the buttered bun and a slight fried flavor from the crispy onion straws. lastly on to the star of the meal... the Key Lime Cheesecake! This piece of cheesecake fully satisfied the craving I have had for key lime, with that good tart key lime taste while also having a delicate creamy cheesecake base. This is a first for me as even when things are bad I try and find something positive about my experience. Unfortunately that was not the case with interaction at this restaurant . I love Cheesecake Factory and find it a great place for a no fuss dinner but not this location. Took my son out to Rochester to catch a flight and wanted a bite before heading home. Was directed to my table was not clean and asked to be moved. Was moved to another table and placed my order. Waiter came over ten minutes later to tell me they ran out of hard boiled egg and was I ok with no egg on my salad. No bigee... Asked about my drink at that time. Drink and bread were finally brought over. Waited and Waited...No one came over. Waiter walked by and numerous times I tried to get his attention for a refill and more bread. Asked a bus person for a manager and no one came. This was after almost an hour after the waiter came to tell me no hard boiled egg. By this point I had been at the restaurant for an hour and half with no food, empty tea glass, and no bread. I was frustrated and just wanted food and to get home. A first for me... I am from Rochester but have lived in NYC for 25+ years. Please note, this is not Mr. Fancy Pants New York City trying to big-time Rochester or CCF. I know, or I thought I knew what CCF is and what it isn't. This is my story: Yesterday, as I often do when I'm back in town, I stopped in for a salad and to bring my Mom some food. I typically like to use olive oil and red wine vinegar as my dressing. The olive oil normally comes in those way too small plastic containers. However, yesterday the bartender brought the olive oil in one of those glass despenser with a pour top. I could see immediately that whatever was in that glass bottle was so not olive oil. Totally confused, I asked her what this was supposed to be and she naturally said "olive oil." I said go back to the kitchen and read the ingredients on the bottle and I bet it's either not olive oil or it's cut with some other hideous seed or other gross, unhealthy oil. Two mins later she's back totally surprised saying "You are right, it's canola oil." So, I'm done with cheesecake forever. It's shortcuts like this, to save a buck, that undermine American's diet and why Americans, as a people, are so fat and unhealthy. It's appalling CCF would serve this. I wish I had taken a picture but anyone going there can see for themselves. The "olive oil" damn near clear. I'm sure (or at least hope) this is a corporate policy and not the Pittsford Plaza CCF unilaterally making this insanely stupid move. I see how CCF LOVES to tell us our calorie laden its food is...and that's actually helpful. It cuts out like 90% of the menu for anyone concerned about eathing healthy. So, how about adding the footnote "WE ARE TOO CHEAP TO GIVE YOU REAL OLIVE OIL, SO WE CUT IT WITH OTHER CHEAP UNHEALTHY OIL TO SAVE PENNIES. ENJOY." BuBye CCF, you are sneaky gross. Visited the Cheesecake Factory yesterday my first visit there in a few years, we ordered crispy crab bites and taquitas for apps and both were amazing, I really wanted the orange chicken and was so disappointed because the chicken was so over cooked I could barely chew it even though the sauce was delicious. Afraid it spoiled my dining pleasure and may deter me from going again, it wasn't an inexpensive dish either it cost $24.95. The cheesecake however never disappoints it was totally awesome. Better get your chefs in line or things like this will change minds about dining there! read more
