I love this place for late night runs The staff is always courteous and quick! They handle walk in and drive up but they prefer you walk in for longer cooking time orders. Always great oldies playing. Nice , clean and very bright restaurant. You can never go wrong with the Roast Beef sandwich warmed! My daughter likes their burgers, they come with fries. I don't know what the issue is in their kitchen, but they have screwed up my sandwich two days in a row. I ordered a King Mr. Submarine which is their flagship sub. It is supposed to come with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and a "special sauce". The first day, it came without tomatoes, onions and sauce. Today I mentioned it to the girl at the window, and was assured it would be complete this time. NOPE! Second time in two days, no tomatoes, no onions, no sauce. NADA! I love Mr. Submarine sandwiches! Everything was fresh and fast. The sandwiches are affordable too; cheaper than the big national places. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Boy, do I miss my Mr. Sub in Beverly. This location has twice the amount of staff working here, yet I still waited a good 20 minutes in that horrbile excuse for a drive-thru. I grew up with this Mr. Sub, and I like the remodel with the super late night drive-thru. I miss places like this when I'm in the further western burbs. The bread is soft, the mayo's real... you can't get sandwiches like this west of Lombard. The pizza puffs and cheese sticks are also great drunk food after a night at the bar. I came here for a late night meal and was pretty disappointed. I ordered a fish sandwich that took about fifteen minutes for me to receive it. There were several customers who received their food long before me. I also noticed that one of the employees was not wearing gloves while preparing the sandwiches. Fortunately, the one that made my sandwich actually was wearing gloves. When my food was finally ready, the employee did not apologize for the wait-in fact, he did not say anything, he just handed me the bag. First I would like to say I have not had this much on issue with the I guess "day shift" people. I drove into drive thru when Mr. Submarine first opened and the guy taking orders I believe he was the manager. He was one of the rudest people I have ever met at that place. I understand that maybe the mic in the drive thru might not work but DO NOT catch an attitude with the CUSTOMER because of an issue with the mic completely ridiculous. I tried to order a fry and they guy kept saying the total and cutting me off. I guess he did not hear the rest of my order because the mic cut out and he said the total. I tried to explain that i wanted to order something else. He then rolled his eyes at me and said what else did you want.
