After 3 visits in one week, this place has definitely earned their 5 stars from me. My favorite rolls are the Geisha Roll and Hama Roll. The basic hand rolls are also great. I especially like the dry crispness of the wrapper when the hand roll is served. My one critique is that most of their specialty rolls are spicy. I work around that by requesting omission of the Sriracha and chili oil from an item. And it also helps to put out the heat with some Kirin beer. I particularly like their spicy crab, which I was allowed to substitute for a small fee in lieu of spicy tuna. Their regular crab that comes in the California Roll is better than any other place I've ever been to. They give a lot of food, which is great because sushi dinners are not cheap. The Giant Roll was more than I was able handle. The service is friendly and fast, considering how busy they are. Their hours are convenient. The vibe is great too! They attract a great crowd. This was my third visit here and we'd been satisfied that last two visits so we're happy to come back. The two stars are just for the sushi which half we loved and half was decent. The service is what makes my score so low. I sincerely hope the manager or owner of this establishment reads this. We dined here yesterday (12/10/23) and arrived at 8:15pm. Both Yelp and Google say this business closes at 9:30pm on a Sunday. Upon entering I'm greeted by a younger guy who was a host from what I could tell. I tell him how many people are in our party (3) he proceeds to look at his phone to check the time and says to me "all right" and seats us. Halfway through our meal at 8:45pm the seats at the bar were all picked up while we were eating right next to the bar. At 9:00pm while my husband is still eating the come to take the soy sauces from our table. Our server Sienna brought us our food and never came back to our table to check on us. I got up once to address some staff that was filling, soy sauces in the middle of the restaurant for some additional condiments, and upon getting uninterested and bothered responses from them I let them know I would find my server myself. At 9:07pm all the seats that where not being occupied by a patron where up on a table. At 9:09pm I'm waiting for my husband and daughter by the hostess stand, and the young man, who appeared to be the host, asked me if I needed anything. I let him know that I was waiting for my husband and daughter to exit the restroom, and he proceeded to tell me that they walked out. I confidently told him that they were in the restroom. He said he saw them walk out. I let him know again that they were in the restroom and I was waiting for them. As if I was not allowed to wait for them. At 9:12pm as we are getting ready to walk out the door a couple comes into dine and the host ask them if there there for takeout because they're no longer seating people. The couple seems confused since the door says they close at 9:30pm but they turn around and leave. I have never felt so rushed or unwanted in a restaurant. With how expensive it is to dine out and as frequently as we get to do it the last thing we should be made to feel like we are a bother. There was no manager or supervisor on staff and it seemed that the entire crew was doing everything they could to make sure that we were out of there before 9:30pm. Horrible dining experience! We will never go back! If you're considering eating here, save your money! Worst $90 spent!! read more

Today, me and my family went to eat and we will not be returning. While we were eating, we had to witness a very uncomfortable scene between two workers. An older woman was yelling at a waitress in front of everyone, which was very unprofessional. I find it unfair to see a waitress who was nothing but nice and had given us the best service possible, she was running around to all tables. And all to see her getting yelled at by who I assume was the manager in charge. And by the end, we say the waitress leave crying and looked unwell. As a customer it wasn't easy to see someone getting treated badly. I hope the owner train their managers better. To my surprise, I have been here about 4 years ago but never came back because at that time it was just ok. That was how unforgettable it was back then until ...our recent dining experience! Our favorites: Bento Box - with baked green mussels and fresh sashimi (very fresh for I did not get a tummy ache - there is a sushi place on Lyons but not kind to my tummy so finally gave it up but this place has fresh sushi) plus your rice, salad, miso soup and mixed tempura. Only downside is tempura sauce can use more flavor please Baked Salmon Roll - popular item and I can see why - delicious Giant Roll - just wow! Our favorite! We like Kinza but they can get expensive and servings are definitely smaller or less than Mr. Sushi. Plenty of parking on a Saturday night and we got seated right away.
