Edit to add: I just came back for lunch and ordered the rock shrimp tempura. Oh my god. It is amazing. It's lightly battered lobster-like shrimp that is so tender, tossed in a creamy spicy sauce with salad that has miso dressing. It's kind of pricey at $18 but well worth it. There is so much shrimp. If you're not starving it could feed two or three. It's supposedly an appetizer but I'd be happy to have this as my entree. Not terribly healthy but it's so delicious and would be a great once in a while treat. I just shook my head the whole time eating it, saying, "Oh my god." It's so good. I also got a vegetable tempura roll but I'm going to have to save that for lunch tomorrow. I love this place. We got take out here this week for a family birthday and everything was amazing! I've found my new sushi place! Ordering online was really easy. Everything was ready in about 20 minutes. We had the tempura crunch rolls, vegetable tempura, udon, beef fried rice, and the California rolls. I also ordered spicy tuna. Our go to sushi place is king burger got sushi in reseda but it's a hassle to drive out there. We've tried the sushi place next to Ralph's on the old road which I didn't like but my kids thought was ok. I was really excited when I noticed Sushi Story on Hasley. The prices are reasonable. I'm going back again today to order some albacore and Ebi and another tempura roll. I can't recommend this place enough. I mean, it was so good that the leftovers were even delicious the next day cold out of the fridge, and that never happens with sushi! This is absolutely by Far the Best sushi place in town. If you Love sushi, Great Quality, off the hook specials and Spectacular Service, then look no further!! I haven't tried any teriyaki bowls or anything from the cooked menu, but my friend has and says they are just as spectacular if you, your friends, guests or family may be interested in those items. Yeah like that... anyhoo The L.B. Roll offers a fusion of flavors with its combination of crab meat, cucumber, and avocado, baked to perfection and topped with succulent lobster and masago. The textures and tastes blend seamlessly, creating a savory experience, call me biased but this is the best role they have and the only role that I get. We enjoyed the Spicy Volcano Roll, Crazy Boy Roll, Rattlesnake roll, miso soup (so good every time) & tempera veggies/shrimp. As always, I love sushi and always looking for some good places to eat at, I walked into sushi story not really expecting too much as there are many restaurants that disappoint us at times. I ordered a couple of things, including sashimi and rolls. The food was pretty good it took a little while, but I prefer to wait a bit if it's for freshly made food the service was good the waitress was really nice and helpful in helping me decide what to pick as I wanted to eat everything on the menu lol, One thing I did notice is the way the restaurant employees interacted with everyone as soon as I walked in the door everyone turned to greet me and welcome me it is a small place so it could get packed relatively fast but when I went In it wasn't, I kept noticing all kinds of people come in and they were treated like family and friends it was nice to see because I don't really see that to often and I've been to alot of places and some really nice but never with this kind of warmth and acceptance might not be the right words but you get me. I spent about 50-60$ on about 3 dishes and a large Asahi. I can't complain. I enjoyed it. Love the Crispy rice with Tuna - largest serving I've ever had and it's one of my favorites so I really enjoyed it!!! Tried two other rolls that I can't remember LOL but they were both amazing. Fish is fresh and so are the flavors with the sauces they choose to use. Pay cash and get a discount! I took advantage of that for sure as its always nice to save here and there. One odd thing but I kind of liked it was that each roll was on some fresh spring lettuce. I liked it for the rolls but not fond of it for the Crispy rice, I feel like it made the rice sog quicker than normal! Other than that I enjoyed it because I love salads so it was nice to have some green. One of the items I previously saw him order was the appetizer rock shrimp tempura. It had so much shrimp withe the salad I wanted to try it. Well he ordered it again today and I did as well. Well the owner who took our order brought him something else out instead of the rock shrimp tempura and when he told her he didn't order the other item she was convinced he did. Instead of correcting it and making it for him, she chose to split mine between the two of us. We were so disappointed that we will not be going back. Btw Eric tips $20-$30 each time he goes there.
