    Pulled Pork Sandwich
    Muriel T.

Stopped here on our drive back from SoCal to the Central Valley and had a pretty solid experience overall. I ordered the pulled pork meal, and my wife got the Alfredo pasta with grilled chicken. We were seated quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food, which was a plus. I initially thought the pulled pork came as a sandwich--that was my mistake--but the staff was incredibly accommodating and offered to remake it as a sandwich at no extra charge. That really stood out. The pulled pork sandwich ended up being delicious and was definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the Alfredo pasta was a bit of a letdown. It was dry, under-seasoned, and had an off smell. After a few bites, we decided not to continue with it. That said, the service and hospitality left a great impression, and the seating area was comfortable--overall a nice spot to enjoy a meal with family. We'd consider coming back, but would likely stick to the barbecue menu next time.

Try one of the combos: Mac and cheese (huge plate), Caesar salad, bread stick and carrot cake for 13 bucks. Insanely cheap! I also did the superfood salad for 13 bucks with a bread stick! Always busy, noisy when busy, but staff is polite and the facilities are clean!

It's always a pleasure to stop by this location on my way back to Bakersfield! On my most recent visit I had the pleasure of stopping by after a family fun filled weekend at the beach. I had the salmon with mac and cheese! It was great! Because we had some many people in our party I asked for extra plates and utensils. They gave it to me without a second thought (this is important to me because some places have a charge for any and every extra item you request, from napkins to ice). We got here soon as they opened and the first 10-20 minutes you can see how busy this place can get. While the ambiance was very busy, the customer service is still on point from the start of your order to the delivery of your meal.

Hey there Party People Was on a road trip to So Cal and ran across the Stonefire Grill. The atmosphere was very family friendly. You order at the counter then the food comes to your table. You grab your own plates and silverware as well as condiments. We got some Fresh made breadsticks with a side of marinara. These were worth the visit all on their own. For a second course we tried the Tortilla Soup. It had good flavor my only critique is that it needs some more tortilla chips on top for some texture. But that is a personal preference so for you it may be great as is. The main Entree was the works pizza. It was everything a pizza should be. I especially liked the crust it was on the thinner side. Once again we got a side of Marinara for dipping. Dessert was Cinno Bites. Perfect little pillows of cinnamon goodness with a vanilla cream cheese dip. The best sugar coma ever. Be kind to one another

I preorder my order a couple days ago, I came like maybe ONE HOUR EARLY; they still made me wait... cuz they were "BUSY". They didn't wanna make my order earlier.. they cooked my steaks wrong I wanted them BLOODY!!!!!! I got the feast and the stimulus packages pick up order for today. My pick up time order was at 11:45 AM today... They made me wait even more like probably like 10 mins more bc when I left it was already noon out the door from there. 1. The breadsticks I had received were mostly ALL BURNT 2. Chicken was UNDERCOOKED still BLOODY 3. Salads were still OLD ASF!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4. Pizza has only like 5 pcs of pepperonis on it as well. HOW RUDE. The portions seemed EXTREMELY TINY THIS YR!!!!!! JUST SAYING......

Stonefire has been one of my favorite places to get pesto pasta for years! They also have a very unique Caesar salad dressing, very heavy on the garlic. I've taken quite a few friends to different locations throughout Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley. Everyone seems to love something here! This location also has been great with service and ample seating for parties small and large. Highly recommend!

Local favorite with good tri-tip, mashed potatoes, bbq beans, garlic bread, and other wonderful bbq items. Royce was amazing for being so patient and helping us figure out the best deal to get the most bang for our buck. There is ample parking and self-service for take out boxes, bbq sauce, and utensils. So overall it's a pretty casual but good family restaurant.

I recently ordered the kids pasta with butter and cheese from Stonefire and was really disappointed with what I received. I specifically asked for light butter, but the pasta came absolutely drenched in it -- it was so greasy and overly salty that it was hard to eat. The heavy butter completely overpowered the cheese, making it an unappetizing mess for a kids' meal. This is the second time the pasta came very salty. To make things worse, the bread that came with the meal was cold, stale, and lacked the sprinkle of parmesan that usually makes it enjoyable. It felt like it had been sitting out for hours. For a restaurant that usually delivers solid quality, this was a big letdown. This also occurred midday at a slow time, which I would expect not to happen.

Lunch Special - 7" Pepperoni Pizza with side Caesar Salad
    Ryan E.

I've visited this restaurant many times before, so a review is a bit overdue, but here goes. On this particular visit, I had the lunch special, consisting of a 7"pepperoni pizza with a side Caesar Salad. But all their food....the pastas, the sandwiches, the salads....ate all very tasty. Brendan served me today, very attentive to details and efficient. Thank you Stonefire Grill!!

    Interior. Warm atmosphere, not chaotic.

12/10 - Highly recommended! For a chain, Stonefire is such a solid, solid, solid option. I love the hybrid model - it's not exactly "full service", but you do get treated as such & I appreciate that. It's not exactly "fast-casual", yeah you order at the counter, but servers bring your food, & especially as this location, they wait on you hand + foot. Especially at this location, they treat their customers like royalty. Tip your servers, they deserve it for taking exceptional care of you. Food - Tri Tip: As someone who loves tri tip & always orders it when it's available, Stonefire knocks it out of the park. I swear by medium rare & they are not afraid to serve you medium rare. What's even better is that you can serve yourself as much sauce as you like (from their self-dispenser). If you're like me, you get lots & lots of sauce. Boneless Chicken Breast: Not overcooked. Not undercook. Exactly what I want & how I like it. Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes: Easily their best side. If you get the "family size", it's such a generous portion. It's thick with big pieces of roasted garlic. Quite easily THE BEST roasted garlic mashed potatoes in the restaurant game. (Bonus points for including the giant serving spoon with the roasted garlic mash. Please do not stop doing this. This is the *chef's kiss*). Potato Salad: Nice, yellow, big pieces of potato. Chilled. Second to the roasted garlic mashed potatoes as the best side dish. Breadsticks: Soft, chewy, yet crisp, perfectly toasted edges. You can never have enough of these. Cheesecake: Rich, creamy, & very staisfying to the sweet tooth. Especially with the side of blueberry compote. Huge shoutout to Francisco for taking exquisite care of us at the register & an even bigger shout out to Sam, our server. If management is reading this, Sam went well above & beyond the call to accommodate our requests. It's the little things like frequently checking-in to make sure that we had everything that we needed. & especially packaging our dessert for to-go. Please recognize Sam & consider give him a raise. He deserves it. Stonefire is "gas" & don't sleep on it. There's a reason why they've been around for such a long, long time. They're not exactly a fast-casual concept - they're a bit fancier - or at least the staff treat you like a full service restaurant. Yet, there's no need to bust out your finest threads. Bonus points for a self-serve soda fountain & even more bonus points for a self-serve BBQ sauce dispenser. Stonefire Grill got a lot of things right. They know exactly who they are & what the customer wants. Businesses like these deserve your patronage. Pro Tip: download the app & create an account to make those rewards points count. Thanks, Stonefire Grill!

Did you guys change your bbq sauce recipe? Noticed a color and big taste difference on my recent order

They did. The new recipe is gross. If I wanted peppery ketchup with a dash of vinegar, I'd make it myself.

Why ain't you guys answering your calls?

Sometimes the phone line will be overloaded. If they don't pick up try to order online or call in 5 minutes.

Did they stop serving sandwiches? I used to order the tri tip sandwich but none are available through the online menu

In order to continue serving our most popular items, we had to trim our menu. We’re sorry for the inconvenience. Please know we’re more than happy to help you find a new favorite in the meantime! We’ll be sure to pass your feedback along to our team…

    Gluten free menu?

Yes!!!! They have one with lots of yummy options and they can modify many of their menu items!!!

So sad you guys aren't open on Christmas 😔 Do you think if I order the pastas, meats, and mashed potatoes on Christmas Eve and just reheat the following day will still taste good?

Yes I've done it before. It tasted the same. Except for the meat.

How many does a half pan and full pan feed?

A half pan of salad typically feeds 10-13, while a full pan feeds 30-35. A half pan of pasta or hot food typically feeds 10-14, while the full pan feeds 35-40. Let us know if you have any other questions!

It was pretty busy for it to be so early. The weight staff was very friendly and very warm and welcoming. Every single person we encountered. We ordered takeout. We had the caveman's platter and the links platter. As sides we had brussels sprouts, mac & cheese, cowboy beans and the plates came with cornbread. I was bummed they did not have collard greens and they did not have potato salad. Apparently collard greens are no longer being served. They've not yet updated their menu. And the potato salad we were advised that a large party had come before us, so there was no more. Which is crazy sad it was only noon and I think they open like at nine or 10 AM. So I kind of felt like we had to resort to what was left and based on how much food we ordered, we had six sides we had to select. Brisket vs Tri Tip- I'm a fatty meat kind of girl. So I definitely preferred the tri-tip. Which had more flavor than the brisket. Now, do not give me wrong by that statement. Because both meats are very good. You can taste that smoke for sure. But the one that you could eat without any sauce would be the tri-tip. The ribs were excellent. The barbecue links were good too. You only get two in the plate and they cut them up in little pieces. But they're good. They weren't overly spicy and they still had some good snap to them. Meats: 9.5/10 The barbecue sauce is a no. It is heavy on the vinegar so bring your own barbecue sauce. The brussels sprouts were I'd say 7/10. They weren't anything too fancy there's kind of like a balsamic on it. They're good but they're not amazing. It could've probably used like some bacon bits or something in it. I don't know. The mac & cheese is a no. It's literally large mushy noodles and watery cheese sauce.. and the cheese sauce is bland. 3/10 The cowboy beans were OK. It's more like a chili for sure. There's a lot going on in them but again they're pretty good. They lean more on the tangy side. When I say tangy, it's probably vinegar and ketchupy if I had to pinpoint the tastes. 6/10. The cornbread is a no. It's more flour based than corn. It falls apart pretty easy. It's kind of dense. At any rate, I'd prefer Jiffy over whatever they're using. 4/10

Hubs opted for the brisket meal and added an extra side of mashed potatoes and beans. We also ordered two fountain drinks, which were a bit on the smaller side (includes free refills) , and the banana bread pudding for dessert. Now, onto the food: the pulled pork and brisket were both moist, but I found they were a bit lacking in flavor without BBQ sauce. The spicy coleslaw didn't quite align with my expectations; it resembled more of a chopped Italian salad with jalapeños, rather than traditional coleslaw. Similarly, the mashed potatoes could have used a bit more seasoning and moisture as they were dry and the beans tasted more like chili than the BBQ beans I was anticipating. Overall, I would say the food was satisfactory, but it didn't quite meet my expectations for BBQ cuisine. When ordering coleslaw and BBQ beans, I envisioned something a bit different. Additionally, the garlic bread was quite hard. So hard you couldn't bite into it. You had to break off the sides first. I appreciate the effort put into the dishes and believe that with a few tweaks, they could better capture the essence of BBQ comfort food. Larger cups would be beneficial so customers don't need three refills to get through dinner. With all that said, we would give it another go after sometime in hopes that they workout some of their kinks from being a new establishment. It's quite pricey so our expectations need to meet the price and they did not. Customer service was attentive and kind. The ambience was on point. The facility was very clean.
