We received gift cards from Stonefire Grill for our anniversary. We decided to make the trip from Bakersfield to try it out. I wasn't quite knowing what to expect. I had kind of scanned over their menu prior to going just so I could have an idea of what to expect. My wife and I ordered a special that came with two different types of tri-tip a family salad to share breadsticks and a pepperoni pizza. This was the perfect meal being that we were eating along with our three-year-old son. My wife and I both got to enjoy the tri-tip and salad while my son got to enjoy his pizza that he loves. Everything was absolutely great. I'm usually not much of a salad eater, but this Caesar salad was absolutely fantastic. Both of the tri-tips had excellent flavor and we're cooked to absolute perfection. The breadsticks were great tasting. And the pizza was cooked to absolute perfection and was full of flavor. You got to love when the pepperoni bake up into cups. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. They offered both indoor and outdoor seating. Nice place with a good vibe. I like the order upfront and find a seat type of set up but I don't like that the suggested tipping options START at 18% and go up from there. If you don't give me the option of 15% that the most you're going to get even if I have to manually punch it in. Food was only ok. They do get busy, but what I like best about Stonefire, is they always have an ample crew so that they can give world class Customer Service as well. Stopped here on our drive back from SoCal to the Central Valley and had a pretty solid experience overall. I ordered the pulled pork meal, and my wife got the Alfredo pasta with grilled chicken. We were seated quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food, which was a plus. I initially thought the pulled pork came as a sandwich--that was my mistake--but the staff was incredibly accommodating and offered to remake it as a sandwich at no extra charge. That really stood out. The pulled pork sandwich ended up being delicious and was definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the Alfredo pasta was a bit of a letdown. It was dry, under-seasoned, and had an off smell. After a few bites, we decided not to continue with it. That said, the service and hospitality left a great impression, and the seating area was comfortable--overall a nice spot to enjoy a meal with family. It's always a pleasure to stop by this location on my way back to Bakersfield! On my most recent visit I had the pleasure of stopping by after a family fun filled weekend at the beach. I had the salmon with mac and cheese! It was great! Because we had some many people in our party I asked for extra plates and utensils. They gave it to me without a second thought (this is important to me because some places have a charge for any and every extra item you request, from napkins to ice). We got here soon as they opened and the first 10-20 minutes you can see how busy this place can get. We're cutting as many carbs as possible so we stopped in to get the chicken. The lemon garlic chicken is all you need if you're on a diet and trying to avoid carbs. We treated ourselves to a decent sized half-chicken and it was well worth it. I was so juicy and savory because our pallate changed since we cut carbs so it was heavenly. Hey there Party People Was on a road trip to So Cal and ran across the Stonefire Grill. The atmosphere was very family friendly. You order at the counter then the food comes to your table. You grab your own plates and silverware as well as condiments. We got some Fresh made breadsticks with a side of marinara. These were worth the visit all on their own. For a second course we tried the Tortilla Soup. It had good flavor my only critique is that it needs some more tortilla chips on top for some texture. But that is a personal preference so for you it may be great as is. The main Entree was the works pizza. It was everything a pizza should be. I especially liked the crust it was on the thinner side. I preorder my order a couple days ago, I came like maybe ONE HOUR EARLY; they still made me wait... cuz they were "BUSY". On this occasion though, I was hosting family in town from the midwest, and wanted to place a catering order so that we could feed this multi-generational group. I was blown away by the level of service provided to me by a Ms. Stephanie Stein. She was so incredibly helpful and polite, patient and professional. She went over specific menu items and packages that would feed and please everyone in my group including the kids. She suggested items that I hadn't thought to include in my order that ended up being a huge hit with my guests. They felt "spoiled by the feast" and she really helped me plan a great visit by making the process of ordering so easy. I recently ordered the kids pasta with butter and cheese from Stonefire and was really disappointed with what I received. I specifically asked for light butter, but the pasta came absolutely drenched in it -- it was so greasy and overly salty that it was hard to eat. The heavy butter completely overpowered the cheese, making it an unappetizing mess for a kids' meal. This is the second time the pasta came very salty. To make things worse, the bread that came with the meal was cold, stale, and lacked the sprinkle of parmesan that usually makes it enjoyable. It felt like it had been sitting out for hours. What's even better is that you can serve yourself as much sauce as you like (from their self-dispenser). If you're like me, you get lots & lots of sauce. Boneless Chicken Breast: Not overcooked. Not undercook. Exactly what I want & how I like it. Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes: Easily their best side. If you get the "family size", it's such a generous portion. It's thick with big pieces of roasted garlic. Quite easily THE BEST roasted garlic mashed potatoes in the restaurant game. (Bonus points for including the giant serving spoon with the roasted garlic mash. Please do not stop doing this. This is the *chef's kiss*). Potato Salad: Nice, yellow, big pieces of potato. Chilled. Second to the roasted garlic mashed potatoes as the best side dish. Breadsticks: Soft, chewy, yet crisp, perfectly toasted edges. You can never have enough of these. The BEST way to go with this place is their $39 Stimulus deal! For $39, you get a WHOLE pizza, a whole chicken, a salad and 8 breadsticks! It's an amazing deal for such a good price. Our food came out in under 10min, which helped improve the experience. Service was nice with them bringing the food to your table after ordering at the counter, and the place gave off a classic pizzeria vibe. Big open space, and self-serve soda fountains. They are very busy, limited staff I feel like, we had to just get our items we requested and go up to the counter to ask again for things we needed, but the food was descent.
