Ventured out of our norm to try a new Mexican food place. It's the furthered away from us, but we wanted to try it. They have a patio which is great. They also have great drinks. I ordered the fried avocado with chicken and my son got the fajitas. Mine was ok. A little disappointed. Beans were barely warm avocado had good flavor just needed to be fried a little longer. My son got the fajitas and enjoyed them a lot. We aren't use to having sausage on our fajitas, but he loved the flavor. The hot sauce was heavy cilantro. I can usually pull it over to the side or even eat it if it isn't a lot. I couldn't even enjoy to salsa. What couple of bites I could get were very good. Service was very good. Mexican food is my favorite kind of food, and this place is usually pretty good. I had beef fajita street tacos today. The waitress got a few of our plates mixed up with another table today, but I laughed it off. Decent ambiance. Nice spot to stop at if you want to sit down after leaving the weird Beaver shrine across the street. Alot of people come into town to see that Beaver shrine. The service was good and the ambiance had a classic Tex-Mex vibe with good Mexican music playing in the background. The food was just OK. The beef enchiladas, unfortunately were pretty flavorless. The beef inside was unseasoned (no salt, no pepper, no cumin, that I could taste) and the cheese and gravy were also unremarkable in flavor. Food was cooked well and looked good though! My wife's taco salad had a lot of liquid (water from the iceberg lettuce was our guess) in the bottom which made the shell soggy. Also, the meat was unseasoned and there were no beans in the taco salad which is odd. Overall, not bad, but not great. read more

Stopped here on our way home to DFW. Awesome salsa, warm and delicious. I would have bought a quart of that to go if I hadn't been traveling. We each ordered a fajita plate, 1 beef and 1 "extraberry". Both were enjoyed. The reason for 4 stars is the rice and beans were very under seasoned. I tasted and didn't eat anymore of either. If I could rate this place lower I absolutely would! The service sucked and the place was dirty. I ordered tacos that was listed as their specialty item and HOLY F*#K was it terrible! Very under cooked WAY too chewy and the damn Corn tortillas weren't even heated up. Whoever cooks here should be retrained or fired straight up. Only positive thing I have to say was they had chips and salsa. And they even Fk'd that up. Mannnnnn 0/10 experience and will never return nor recommend unless you want food poisoning. read more

As locals, my wife and I decided to try this place, and very glad we did. Great service (even at 1:30 pm on a Friday!) and good food - generous portions, superb flavor - everything from the chips, queso and salsa to the main entrée's. Food was good and fresh. A little greasy but, that doesn't bother me. Red salsa was delicious and green salsa was more on the sour cream side not bad I just don't eat sour cream. Four stars: Charro beans could use more flavor. Service was great and the restaurant was clean. read more

First time trying Mr.Taco and I was impressed. We came from Houston and stayed in madisonville for the weekend looking for some great Mexican food and Mr Taco came to please!. The Fresh watermelon margarita was amazing! I had to have 2 lol and the taco salad was so fresh and light. What took me away was the warm salsa they served with chips as soon as you walk in! You definitely do not get authentic anymore- so I was impressed. I will definitely be back on my next visit. A lovely restaurant with very attentive staff. They had complimentary chips, queso, and salsa. We ordered off the lunch menu and the price was affordable and relatively cheap. The location is right next to Buckees and off the highway so good for travelers. read more

The food was really good. Salsa and chips were a good start. Kids loved their pizza plates, very cheesy. The beef fajita skillet was overall plain in looks but they tasted amazing.
